Just a warning about that, if that's what you decide to do. If you have a completed mission, or have started one, the game snapshots the lowest world tier you were at. It's to prevent people from starting a mission at world tier 15, immediately dropping it to 1, face rolling the quest, raising it back to 15 and then turning it in, and then getting big quest rewards. Like, the fights will be whatever tier you have it at, but the turn in rewards aren't.
You can always upgrade rare items to current level in the crafting menu. Might help out quite a bit. Also, don't underestimate upgrading greens to blues. Its fairly cheap and can help tremendously.
Only downside is the world tiers don't rank up while you're progressing at a lower tier. So if you hit 30 at WT8 for instance, you'll still have to repeat content to get up to WT15, I don't see how that's efficient.
Agreed man, I tried to play with someone at the final boss and the minute he left and I reset I beat it alone on wt10 like the challenge and getting better gear is more for preparing for endgame
To a point. At world tier 9, I was forced to snipe everything when my Devastator should be in close. At that point I dialed it back to a level where the playstyle was consistent with my expectations (one or two tapping trash instead of everything being a bullet sponge). That's the beauty of the system. I hit 30 at world tier 10. But had to drop down to 7 in places on the way to 30. My first Expedition was easy but missed the gold medal time requirement.
Yeah it’s not really that big of a deal in my opinion until u hit endgame. I got up to world tier 11 at level 23 and it was rough. I kicked it back down to 7 and have been having a much better time. Still challenging but a lot more fun IMO I can’t stomp over everything but it doesn’t take 4 plus clips to down an elite either
You have a point here: the leveling process in games like Outriders, Division etc, have a serious issue: the gear drasticaly changes after a couple of levels. So its hard to test builds, skills, weapon classes and mods.
This makes so much sense now - thank you! I was seriously thinking of just giving up on this game. I was constantly dying during solo runs, and with matchmaking broken, my enjoyment of this game was waning.
Personally I played solo with world tiers going up regularly and didn’t notice any damage issues as long as you try too keep your mods in order. I’ve noticed some weapons can combo some absolutely insane mods. If anyone is looking too play or needs a hand lmk
I absolutely agree. I can’t for the life of me understand why he doesn’t have any skill points on weapon damage if he’s having trouble doing damage. What he did not mention is improving the stats on weapons and armor which cost next to nothing.

Agreed, im lvl 11 with world tier 8 and im not noticing anything that's too hard. Trickster + weakness + pump shotty with 30% increased crit. Slow trap, pump to the heat, stun & rinse and repeat.
It's cause he isn't looking for a good build or what works against certain enemies he's just dashing through to endgame. Have fun leveling up 14 world tiers and having no idea what build is even viable in your class.
Higher WT when I’m under leveled in every way makes me want to throw a controller at the wall when I face Bosses cause Boss Fights are 2-3 levels above your level. It’s best to treat world tiers like I do in Diablo 3. I play on Normal till after the campaign and the leveling process. Then once at Max Level, I put it on Torment Mode that I can handle which is usually T1 or T2. Then I run Rifts and since they’re timed, I use the method my brother taught me. If you can beat a rift in less then 5 Minutes, raise the Torment Difficulty. If it takes you over 10 Minutes, then lower the Torment Difficulty. That’s what I’m doing with this game. I’ll be doing my Campaign Run on Normal (WT5) and will run it till I get to Expeditions and run the as quickly as I can and move up when I’m feeling like the game is too easy etc. what Mtashed said is accurate for many. I’m glad some people have the patience and the know how to do WT8-9 at level 10, then more power to you. But not all of us can do it.
@@ResidentRecon89 All of that is perfectly fine. You do what's best for you and your enjoyment! I will admit bosses are rough and some of them have cheesy mechanics.. I lowered my WT on the final boss just because I couldn't be bothered to do a 2 phase fight without a checkpoint... it's fine and acceptable, The real fun is at end game.
The grind of the higher tears is what makes you a better player. So you can learn proper tactics for that hard as hell end game content that will come out with dlc
Yup I do the same.... I run Techno and with the set up I got I use a 150 round machine gun and 90 assault rifle I literally never run out of blight rounds, stay healed on damage plus kill and freeze npc’s on damage!!!! So much easier even in between the WT leveling
I've been playing the highest tier available, currently on 8 and it really feels like not having a build means no progress. I still havent even gotten a damn legendary yet.
Lol Yeah finished the game playing on highest world tier didnt get my first legendary random drop till end game. but did all guaranteed side quests. Legendarys aren't that much better then epics a lot of them have gimmicky mods that don't really do much.
Don't feel too bad, I put a lot of hours in the demo and and got all the way to lv24 world tier 11 before a legendary actually dropped for me lol although my friends who jumped in my games all had a few legendaries drop for them, its all just rng at this point but at least when you hit world tier 12 if you hadn't gotten one yet they give it to ya
I can respect this method, especially in considering that not everyone has a ton of time, myself included. That being said, I think this is a mentality that leads to lessening the experience and faster burnout. I feel like there's a tradeoff between efficiency and fun your first time through a game like this. Playing at level with the world has been a blast.
Damn no wonder that giant spider was shitting on me and my homie (Edit) it was our first play through and I was playing devastator with no prior knowledge at the time so all this talk about meta builds etc didn’t matter when the game had just came out 😭

This has been my EXACT experience so far. Been loving the game but my god once I reach World Tier 7, suddenly I was no longer powerful, but instead had to resort to hit&run tactics just to survive. And fighting Third Boss (no spoilers) at Tier 7 was madding.
When I die a few times and the game reminds me I can lower the difficulty it makes me want to give the game the finger and beat it at current level even more. Lol
Dude, just ran across this video and was all like "That's me, I've spent minutes and minutes fighting elites pumping them full of bullets only to have them heal quicker than I can kill them"
If you're still looking for a challenge, decent loot, and the feeling of being like a badass at the same time as being efficient and easily killing people, might I recommend stepping down one or two tiers from your current tier, most of the time you only need to step down one. Or try world tier 5, that's the one I use.
The problem is people are trying to burn through this game so quickly within a few days. Those be the same type of people who complains that the game is stale. No need to rush.
I'm a dark souls veteran so i love the world tier system in this game. I get the whole experience argument but the loots you get is worth the grind. Yes you end up dropping them 10 seconds after you pick them up but then you can use this to farm mods by dismantling the weapons you dont need. I think the most valuable part of playing high teirs is the mods you can get early on. It helps you to start fleshing out your builds and get creative early on. I'm a souls players, grinding under tough conditions is in my blood.
I had this problem with the demo, was worried it would happen with the full game. Turns out I had new drivers to install, and it launched the game without a problem. Double check your drivers, and if it's not that, idk man.
Like the Division 2.. Get max level first, then worry about world tiers. Outriders let's you progress or regress on demand. Be safe out there y'all.. 👍

So glad I watched this. I was cruising fine enough at highest tier until I got to the 23-25 range. Then I stopped melting and started getting melted. This answered a lot of questions. And made me feel better in deciding to lower the WT a bit.
Whats the thing with devastator? I've dragged so many people to T15 with the immortal devastator. It's even easier on your own when you don't get double bosses and tougher enemies
Same, makes u swap some skills in and out too depending on boss vs crowd control. I'm level 22 trickster and haven't had a problem yet soloing with auto highest world tier on
It feels like a natural progression in difficulty as you go through the game I think it's very well done by de Devs. People are either too used to play in normal difficulty all their games or they're not that good, not to trash on anybody, but it is what it is, that's why the Devs let the player choose WT to give those people a chance and it makes sense, but I don't understand why to complain about that difficulty as it where an error or mistake 🤷♀️ I really like it, Lv. 20 WT 10 and even though it can get hard for time to time, is not that bad overall
I feel the same way, my friend and I are playing through and have the auto select world tier on and its been an absolutely fantastic gradual difficulty increase as we go, have never gad any major issues with anything being to difficult and we strategize our abilities together to take down encounters, its extremely fun this way, and dare i say probably the way the Devs meant for the game to be played.
yeah same, although since most of our abilities are about making us tanky and not so much about damage (at least the ones I am using), they don't fall off as hard as the other classes.
Yeah pretty sure it's a class issue that he's not realizing cause devastator abilities wreck mobs. Not only that but he's using trash weapon types. The auto shotguns, smgs, and 3 round burst ARs seem way overtuned compared to other guns I've tried. I had a 770 damage tactical AR vs the molten spider and it was hitting for 15 a shot wondering how I'd ever kill it, then switched to a 530ish damage 3 round burst and was hitting for 150-200 a shot.
Same. I’m sure every class has a good setup for high world tier solo. People just have to figure it out for themselves before all the youtubers do it for them.
Yeah, I learned this the hard way on my 1st playthrough. It was SICK having attained my 1st legendary drop (Roaring Umbra) before progressing past the First City but it was apparent later on that my many hrs spent grinding toward reaching world tier 12 (legendary drops) was timely, risky & not for the faint of heart. Save yourselves the trouble & lay off farming & grinding world tiers until you’ve completed your 1st playthrough. It’s insane going up against hordes of enemies & bosses with 9+ lvls on you in early game.

Yeah, I just started playing Outriders. I just completed Watch Dogs Legion on Hard, and I only made it to WT 4-5 and its twice as hard as WDL on Hard Difficulty. Got me thinking the pyromancer class just sucks

But you will still need to grind those tiers out and it won't happen if your just stuck on forver tier 1. Plus you need somewhat decent gear to start running those expeditions.
Yeah its you have to put the time in anyways so why slog out missions latter on that you have already done. When you can use the story and side missions to prepare you for endgame. you will have capable gear for end game if you do all side missions and main missions with the tier maxed. If you don't you wont and will thus have to go back and play missions you already have completed again
I get what you are saying. I look at it differently. You can get through this game if you play smart. You have to mod your equipment frequently along with crafting in order to keep your character the strongest. This game has some old school mechanics and you just have to figure out the best way to kill all of the enemies before they kill you. I dont agree with the comment of abilities arent worth anything. I am playing Devestator solo level 23 world tier 10 about to be 11. Yes difficult, but isn't that part of the fun? Figuring out how to play the most difficult version? Most drops for me right now are purples and the gear keeps getting better. Having a blast.

These days youtubers just tell people how to build their characters so right now when the game is new people are having to think for themselves and it doesn’t seem like it’s going well for most. It’s really not that hard conceptually think how you want to build your character and pick the right gear and mods and boom you’re done. Also consider if you’re gonna play solo or with a group. That’s why I went full tank and survivability but to give some more damage I put damage mods on two of my skills. Always keep protector on. But just manage cool downs well and have healing on my shotgun and it’s easy GG.
It’s a shame these big shot TH-camrs don’t change up their play style to stay alive and pick off the enemy one by one. They would rather set to a low tier and grind the same mission for hours and everybody watching them and following their lead and calling it content. Pathetic

@@Fiufia he's not wrong this is the same thing that made BL3 suck. Skills don't scale properly with difficulty level so it's better to just stack weapon damage. Besides it's a looter shooter most of your play time is going to be spent doing end game content. Why waste time slogging through things to get gear that is just going to be discarded when you hit max level?
i’ve found the game EXTREMELY difficult, and i normally play games on the easiest difficulty because of wanting to play the story, but this game is really fun when it’s the hardest. it’s a good challenge having to actually avoid things.

That's what makes a game for me; interactions and choices, Some people love an extreme challenge, some love speedruns, some love an easy difficulty so they can focus more on the collectables, and the story for gain greater understanding of the games lore. Everyone playstyle is different that's why we have different classes; ain't? Or is it just for creating an artificial sense of diversity and replayability. Sometimes I love a challenge, sometimes I want to play with my friends, sometimes I want to be alone so can take my own time playing a game in my own pace, sometimes I just want to relax and immersed myself in the lore of a game. Everyone is different even if it's only slightly. But also Everyone is a different in different times themselves. Depending on how they feel their game should be played at that moment in time.

Good advice I was getting so pissed honestly. It makes more sense the way you described it. Also doesn’t help that it defaults to raise the world tier...I was like holy crap. I had played destiny, division like I’m used to these and this system is weird. Awesome content. You earned a sub.
I ran into this when I hit the volcano spider. I was like wt7 or 8 and my abilities were near useless. I think the demo may have pushed people further than they were supposed to be early on. Playing the spider solo at high wt was very frustrating on top of disconnecting in the middle(or further) of a boss fight.

I'm lvl 26, world tier 14, and have no issues killing enemies. You don't need to stay at a lower tier in order to be efficient, you just need to modify your build. Or just upgrade your gear. There are multiple ways to farm titanium efficiently so you can just level up your epics and you won't have any issues in higher tiers.

@@numa3071 Yeah that's what I meant it took me a while, my inferno seed is insane with my ashen pyro, deletes everything, turns out gun focused is a lot stronger than heavy anomaly caster, and some legendaries are pretty much only good for mods
It's worth noting though that group play scales the difficulty too so you compound the level difference exponentially so higher world tiers are actually easier in solo play
Played through the entire game solo World tiers were never a problem Started the story again with a friend and every time we go up a world tier we get one-shotted by literally everything

Having played solo to 30 and grouped to 30 on a Pyro both times, it was significantly easier grouped because my friends had cc they provided that made my life infinitely easier because I had more time to apply burn and rotate through skills. I feel like the analogy is similar to farming lower torment levels on D3 until you get some set bonuses together. then you can burn through higher difficulties quicker. quantity > quality at first.
Yes, very much so. Diablo (which this game is comparable to in some ways) doesn't even really start until you hit max level and you start getting max level drops. Until that point, you should play the game on the difficulty that makes the game fun and not too challenging, and step things up as your build improves. This video makes a ton of sense for that very reason.

Dont have alot of time to play outriders, when i do i was stuck on tier 6 with no legendaries. Could not get past to dedication until i viewed your video. Went down to tier 3 now completed the level.
100% agree with you man, not everybody likes sweating their balls off trying to beat a boss on world tier 8+. always play how YOU want to play. glad to see i’m not the only one feeling this!
if you keep dying then you lose World Tier progress. So unless you're extremely confident at always playing the highest World Tier, just keep playing at low tiers throughout the early game
@@thexorode it's like that so you don't go to a WT that's absolutely too high for what gear you have. So by the time you don't die enough to get the next WT, you're ready for that difficulty. This isn't directed at you specifically, but people always have this idea that dying in video games is bad. Death and fail states can be extremely rewarding and enjoyable to some people. The people who don't find that enjoyable are either not playing a looter shooter or already playing on lower difficulty

Exactly just let the world tier go up until you start getting bodied. Then keep bringing the tier down low enough for you to survive and lvl you gear. The amount of videos talking about this is unnecessary.

I was banging my head against a wall solo running for world tier 7 wondering why there are so many enemies if I barely do any damage to 1 of them. Now this makes a lot more since, Thank you for the video
@@miceatah9359 the last boss is another story altogether. His anomaly orbs are just plain broken for a huge list of reasons. I'm convinced that if I wasn't going into the higher world tiers so that I could drop down to level 1 and have a huge gap between the gear I had and his tier 1 level I would never have beat him. Dropping your world tier is the only way to beat him solo and I pity any casual gamers that played solo and never went above level 3 because I doubt they could stand a chance.
Professional gamer that has barely changed his games and he hasn't reached the endgame completely yet once you get to CT10+ I respect opinions like this but still just drop the world tier by 1 after you get to the desert and your good to go maybe more for the final boss. Also doing the campaign on the highest world teir solo or in a team make it harder so then you farm and take your time so then your potential time goes up so when you want content its right around the corner.

I can agree to a certain extent that the game does force you into a chokehold if you challenge those higher world tiers earlier but it does allow you to engage into thinking about smarter approaches
Man, I definitely felt this video. I was slapping enemies with my wet noodle and running to the nearest cover for 30 mins a boss fight. This video helped me be aware of an alternate route thanks.
I played the whole game solo Devastator and let the world tiers automatically scale and it was tough for sure but definitely rewarding. I enjoyed every minute of it and the game was a genuine challenge, I had to play in a way that I would never play in other games and actually focus on gear and skills that would help.
I'm playing pyro at lvl 14 in wt8 and having no huge issues. Yes some parts are a challenge but it will keep you playing the game for a little longer instead of blowing through and getting bored.
Man i been struggling and letting the world tiers do there thing thinking i got more xp for my troubles and now hearing that i don't. I'm definitely gonna adjust it down to a more enjoyable level.
Makes sense. I've had some real struggles soloing at World Tier 7 and 8. I didn't realize the exp was the same regardless of world tier. I'll probably step it down to finish the campaign.

Raise them tiers! The added difficulty is what makes this game fun. If it's impossible lower it one tier. Don't pay for a game just to easy mode it. You are depriving yourself the sense of accomplishment in the hard fights, and the new playstyles you'll come up with to beat the hard fights.
Some excellent points now that I have reached level 30. It was a struggle but now in leveling up my other characters, it will be different and much more fun.

I'm Figured that out kinda early game. But that being said I figured out a bit of early disassemble status this morning. Apparently common items give you scrap and green labeled weapons give you iron and blue labeled weapons give you either or both. Purple will give you some iron and some the pyramid symbol after you reach a certain point.. It may be something people already knew....
Deva is sad but i can survive most anything sitting at 80k armor during combat (15k standard) I don't even have the tier 3's i need but i have an ash build that deals 4k per crit on assault rifles. I can only imagine having an optimized build
Thank you, I was wondering why at level 24, WT 7 I kept dying. I've been gaming since the '80s and this is one of the worst games for killing me so far; admittedly I passed on some of the super hard ones like Dark Souls. Going to drop back to WT 6 and feel good about it!
I can't be sure everyone playing this game has played Diablo before, but I think of the World Tiers as Torment. You want to adjust when you feel weaker, but there is times you want that on a higher tier. Specially when dealing with alot of trash

You have a point here: the leveling process in games like Outriders, Division etc, have a serious issue: the gear drasticaly changes after a couple of levels. So its hard to test builds, skills, weapon classes and mods.
This makes so much sense now - thank you! I was seriously thinking of just giving up on this game. I was constantly dying during solo runs, and with matchmaking broken, my enjoyment of this game was waning.
Personally I played solo with world tiers going up regularly and didn’t notice any damage issues as long as you try too keep your mods in order. I’ve noticed some weapons can combo some absolutely insane mods. If anyone is looking too play or needs a hand lmk
I absolutely agree. I can’t for the life of me understand why he doesn’t have any skill points on weapon damage if he’s having trouble doing damage. What he did not mention is improving the stats on weapons and armor which cost next to nothing.

Agreed, im lvl 11 with world tier 8 and im not noticing anything that's too hard. Trickster + weakness + pump shotty with 30% increased crit. Slow trap, pump to the heat, stun & rinse and repeat.
It's cause he isn't looking for a good build or what works against certain enemies he's just dashing through to endgame. Have fun leveling up 14 world tiers and having no idea what build is even viable in your class.
I play em as I unlock em.. it's tough, but it's fun as hell that way... it's definitely increasing my overall playtime.
Higher WT when I’m under leveled in every way makes me want to throw a controller at the wall when I face Bosses cause Boss Fights are 2-3 levels above your level. It’s best to treat world tiers like I do in Diablo 3. I play on Normal till after the campaign and the leveling process. Then once at Max Level, I put it on Torment Mode that I can handle which is usually T1 or T2. Then I run Rifts and since they’re timed, I use the method my brother taught me. If you can beat a rift in less then 5 Minutes, raise the Torment Difficulty. If it takes you over 10 Minutes, then lower the Torment Difficulty. That’s what I’m doing with this game. I’ll be doing my Campaign Run on Normal (WT5) and will run it till I get to Expeditions and run the as quickly as I can and move up when I’m feeling like the game is too easy etc. what Mtashed said is accurate for many. I’m glad some people have the patience and the know how to do WT8-9 at level 10, then more power to you. But not all of us can do it.
@@ResidentRecon89 All of that is perfectly fine. You do what's best for you and your enjoyment! I will admit bosses are rough and some of them have cheesy mechanics.. I lowered my WT on the final boss just because I couldn't be bothered to do a 2 phase fight without a checkpoint... it's fine and acceptable, The real fun is at end game.
The grind of the higher tears is what makes you a better player. So you can learn proper tactics for that hard as hell end game content that will come out with dlc
And this way you can play the game longer so you can't say it has no content by being world teir one beating it in like 1-2 hours
Yup I do the same.... I run Techno and with the set up I got I use a 150 round machine gun and 90 assault rifle I literally never run out of blight rounds, stay healed on damage plus kill and freeze npc’s on damage!!!! So much easier even in between the WT leveling
I've been playing the highest tier available, currently on 8 and it really feels like not having a build means no progress. I still havent even gotten a damn legendary yet.
There’s like 6 quests per character that drop guaranteed legendarys
Lol Yeah finished the game playing on highest world tier didnt get my first legendary random drop till end game. but did all guaranteed side quests. Legendarys aren't that much better then epics a lot of them have gimmicky mods that don't really do much.
Don't feel too bad, I put a lot of hours in the demo and and got all the way to lv24 world tier 11 before a legendary actually dropped for me lol although my friends who jumped in my games all had a few legendaries drop for them, its all just rng at this point but at least when you hit world tier 12 if you hadn't gotten one yet they give it to ya

I can respect this method, especially in considering that not everyone has a ton of time, myself included. That being said, I think this is a mentality that leads to lessening the experience and faster burnout. I feel like there's a tradeoff between efficiency and fun your first time through a game like this. Playing at level with the world has been a blast.

This has been my EXACT experience so far. Been loving the game but my god once I reach World Tier 7, suddenly I was no longer powerful, but instead had to resort to hit&run tactics just to survive. And fighting Third Boss (no spoilers) at Tier 7 was madding.
When I die a few times and the game reminds me I can lower the difficulty it makes me want to give the game the finger and beat it at current level even more. Lol

If you're still looking for a challenge, decent loot, and the feeling of being like a badass at the same time as being efficient and easily killing people, might I recommend stepping down one or two tiers from your current tier, most of the time you only need to step down one.
Or try world tier 5, that's the one I use.

The problem is people are trying to burn through this game so quickly within a few days. Those be the same type of people who complains that the game is stale. No need to rush.
I'm a dark souls veteran so i love the world tier system in this game. I get the whole experience argument but the loots you get is worth the grind. Yes you end up dropping them 10 seconds after you pick them up but then you can use this to farm mods by dismantling the weapons you dont need. I think the most valuable part of playing high teirs is the mods you can get early on. It helps you to start fleshing out your builds and get creative early on. I'm a souls players, grinding under tough conditions is in my blood.

It feels like a natural progression in difficulty as you go through the game I think it's very well done by de Devs. People are either too used to play in normal difficulty all their games or they're not that good, not to trash on anybody, but it is what it is, that's why the Devs let the player choose WT to give those people a chance and it makes sense, but I don't understand why to complain about that difficulty as it where an error or mistake 🤷♀️ I really like it, Lv. 20 WT 10 and even though it can get hard for time to time, is not that bad overall
I feel the same way, my friend and I are playing through and have the auto select world tier on and its been an absolutely fantastic gradual difficulty increase as we go, have never gad any major issues with anything being to difficult and we strategize our abilities together to take down encounters, its extremely fun this way, and dare i say probably the way the Devs meant for the game to be played.
I've been playing devastator and having very few problems in WT8 at only level 16.
yeah same, although since most of our abilities are about making us tanky and not so much about damage (at least the ones I am using), they don't fall off as hard as the other classes.
I play techno and freezing skills and toxic bullets are a must but its not so challenging yet wt8 lvl 20
Yeah pretty sure it's a class issue that he's not realizing cause devastator abilities wreck mobs. Not only that but he's using trash weapon types. The auto shotguns, smgs, and 3 round burst ARs seem way overtuned compared to other guns I've tried. I had a 770 damage tactical AR vs the molten spider and it was hitting for 15 a shot wondering how I'd ever kill it, then switched to a 530ish damage 3 round burst and was hitting for 150-200 a shot.

Yeah, I learned this the hard way on my 1st playthrough. It was SICK having attained my 1st legendary drop (Roaring Umbra) before progressing past the First City but it was apparent later on that my many hrs spent grinding toward reaching world tier 12 (legendary drops) was timely, risky & not for the faint of heart. Save yourselves the trouble & lay off farming & grinding world tiers until you’ve completed your 1st playthrough. It’s insane going up against hordes of enemies & bosses with 9+ lvls on you in early game.

Yeah, I just started playing Outriders. I just completed Watch Dogs Legion on Hard, and I only made it to WT 4-5 and its twice as hard as WDL on Hard Difficulty. Got me thinking the pyromancer class just sucks

But you will still need to grind those tiers out and it won't happen if your just stuck on forver tier 1. Plus you need somewhat decent gear to start running those expeditions.
Yeah its you have to put the time in anyways so why slog out missions latter on that you have already done. When you can use the story and side missions to prepare you for endgame. you will have capable gear for end game if you do all side missions and main missions with the tier maxed. If you don't you wont and will thus have to go back and play missions you already have completed again
I get what you are saying. I look at it differently. You can get through this game if you play smart. You have to mod your equipment frequently along with crafting in order to keep your character the strongest. This game has some old school mechanics and you just have to figure out the best way to kill all of the enemies before they kill you. I dont agree with the comment of abilities arent worth anything. I am playing Devestator solo level 23 world tier 10 about to be 11. Yes difficult, but isn't that part of the fun? Figuring out how to play the most difficult version? Most drops for me right now are purples and the gear keeps getting better. Having a blast.

These days youtubers just tell people how to build their characters so right now when the game is new people are having to think for themselves and it doesn’t seem like it’s going well for most. It’s really not that hard conceptually think how you want to build your character and pick the right gear and mods and boom you’re done. Also consider if you’re gonna play solo or with a group. That’s why I went full tank and survivability but to give some more damage I put damage mods on two of my skills. Always keep protector on. But just manage cool downs well and have healing on my shotgun and it’s easy GG.
i must say i keep the world level up to have a challenge instead of just rushing through the enemies and be done with the story in a hour xD

i’ve found the game EXTREMELY difficult, and i normally play games on the easiest difficulty because of wanting to play the story, but this game is really fun when it’s the hardest. it’s a good challenge having to actually avoid things.

Sometimes I love a challenge, sometimes I want to play with my friends, sometimes I want to be alone so can take my own time playing a game in my own pace, sometimes I just want to relax and immersed myself in the lore of a game.
Everyone is different even if it's only slightly. But also Everyone is a different in different times themselves. Depending on how they feel their game should be played at that moment in time.

I ran into this when I hit the volcano spider. I was like wt7 or 8 and my abilities were near useless. I think the demo may have pushed people further than they were supposed to be early on. Playing the spider solo at high wt was very frustrating on top of disconnecting in the middle(or further) of a boss fight.

I'm lvl 26, world tier 14, and have no issues killing enemies. You don't need to stay at a lower tier in order to be efficient, you just need to modify your build. Or just upgrade your gear. There are multiple ways to farm titanium efficiently so you can just level up your epics and you won't have any issues in higher tiers.
Funny thing is upgraded epics out damage legendaries lol, took me a while to get a legendary that is better than my dear epic tactical rifle

@@numa3071 Yeah that's what I meant it took me a while, my inferno seed is insane with my ashen pyro, deletes everything, turns out gun focused is a lot stronger than heavy anomaly caster, and some legendaries are pretty much only good for mods

It's worth noting though that group play scales the difficulty too so you compound the level difference exponentially so higher world tiers are actually easier in solo play

True, once I hit world tier 9 I started noticing that even the grunts were bursting me down every step of the way.
Made it to 9, then decided to drop it back to 5. Going to just do the story and hit max character level.
Gona take you twice as long to get to endgame since you'll still have to grind the world tiers. Just play at max and drop it when you need to.
I drop WT at Bosses then raise is with ads.
Same xp from world teir 1 thru world teir 15 so if ya want to rush drop it down to 1 lol up to you but just do all the side quest so you can hit 30...

Yes, very much so. Diablo (which this game is comparable to in some ways) doesn't even really start until you hit max level and you start getting max level drops. Until that point, you should play the game on the difficulty that makes the game fun and not too challenging, and step things up as your build improves. This video makes a ton of sense for that very reason.

if you keep dying then you lose World Tier progress. So unless you're extremely confident at always playing the highest World Tier, just keep playing at low tiers throughout the early game
@@thexorode it's like that so you don't go to a WT that's absolutely too high for what gear you have. So by the time you don't die enough to get the next WT, you're ready for that difficulty. This isn't directed at you specifically, but people always have this idea that dying in video games is bad. Death and fail states can be extremely rewarding and enjoyable to some people. The people who don't find that enjoyable are either not playing a looter shooter or already playing on lower difficulty

Playing through the campaign on Tier 1 makes endgame tough when you get there..
Exactly just let the world tier go up until you start getting bodied. Then keep bringing the tier down low enough for you to survive and lvl you gear. The amount of videos talking about this is unnecessary.
Same concept as Diablo 3. Doing harder difficulties isn't worth until you can clear it at a certain speed.

@@miceatah9359 the last boss is another story altogether. His anomaly orbs are just plain broken for a huge list of reasons. I'm convinced that if I wasn't going into the higher world tiers so that I could drop down to level 1 and have a huge gap between the gear I had and his tier 1 level I would never have beat him. Dropping your world tier is the only way to beat him solo and I pity any casual gamers that played solo and never went above level 3 because I doubt they could stand a chance.
Professional gamer that has barely changed his games and he hasn't reached the endgame completely yet once you get to CT10+ I respect opinions like this but still just drop the world tier by 1 after you get to the desert and your good to go maybe more for the final boss.
Also doing the campaign on the highest world teir solo or in a team make it harder so then you farm and take your time so then your potential time goes up so when you want content its right around the corner.

Thanks for not making this an April fools video, I was honestly wondering why I was having trouble with just the first major boss. World tiers are defiantly not like mayhem in BL.
I can agree to a certain extent that the game does force you into a chokehold if you challenge those higher world tiers earlier but it does allow you to engage into thinking about smarter approaches

Man, I definitely felt this video. I was slapping enemies with my wet noodle and running to the nearest cover for 30 mins a boss fight. This video helped me be aware of an alternate route thanks.
I played the whole game solo Devastator and let the world tiers automatically scale and it was tough for sure but definitely rewarding. I enjoyed every minute of it and the game was a genuine challenge, I had to play in a way that I would never play in other games and actually focus on gear and skills that would help.
So where’s a good place to be while playing through? Like a recommendation on world tier, don’t want it to be easy mode on the campaign play through

I'm playing pyro at lvl 14 in wt8 and having no huge issues. Yes some parts are a challenge but it will keep you playing the game for a little longer instead of blowing through and getting bored.
Man i been struggling and letting the world tiers do there thing thinking i got more xp for my troubles and now hearing that i don't. I'm definitely gonna adjust it down to a more enjoyable level.

Makes sense. I've had some real struggles soloing at World Tier 7 and 8. I didn't realize the exp was the same regardless of world tier. I'll probably step it down to finish the campaign.

Hard Mode come later when you get a bit power. But show off say it HARD MODE. This is just my personal opinion mate :)

Raise them tiers! The added difficulty is what makes this game fun. If it's impossible lower it one tier. Don't pay for a game just to easy mode it. You are depriving yourself the sense of accomplishment in the hard fights, and the new playstyles you'll come up with to beat the hard fights.
Some excellent points now that I have reached level 30. It was a struggle but now in leveling up my other characters, it will be different and much more fun.

I’m playing a devastator and made to world tier 8 with few problems, tier 9 even trash mobs crapping on me... I figured it was the class that was bad. Thanks for the information Mr. Tash 👍🏾
I'm Figured that out kinda early game. But that being said I figured out a bit of early disassemble status this morning. Apparently common items give you scrap and green labeled weapons give you iron and blue labeled weapons give you either or both. Purple will give you some iron and some the pyramid symbol after you reach a certain point.. It may be something people already knew....
Up to tier 12 lvl 24 still comfortable. Diving into 12 tomorrow
Cannot relate as a lvl 23 getting curb stomped by breachers and every other enemy at tier 12
@@jayluis7701 I find myself taking it slow, let the enemies come to me and snipe when I can. I'm at tier 11, level 22 and comfortable as well.

Deva is sad but i can survive most anything sitting at 80k armor during combat (15k standard) I don't even have the tier 3's i need but i have an ash build that deals 4k per crit on assault rifles. I can only imagine having an optimized build
Thank you, I was wondering why at level 24, WT 7 I kept dying. I've been gaming since the '80s and this is one of the worst games for killing me so far; admittedly I passed on some of the super hard ones like Dark Souls. Going to drop back to WT 6 and feel good about it!
I can't be sure everyone playing this game has played Diablo before, but I think of the World Tiers as Torment. You want to adjust when you feel weaker, but there is times you want that on a higher tier. Specially when dealing with alot of trash
