- Quick one hour fishing session at newhaven produced my biggest fish on lrf to date.
Caught on a 7g cheb from c.a.n fishing lures size 14 hook and a tiny bit of pink isome
I was not planning on filming but had to share it with you all.

Reminds me of the time years ago when i was catching Roach on single Red Maggot on a size 18 hook, 4lb main line and 2 lb hook length, seemed to get snagged which then started to move.
Took over 10 mins maybe longer but finally landed a 6lb Pike, it seemed a bit lethargic and made no fast runs which is how I manged to coax it gradually closer until I netted it, nicely hooked in the corner of the mouth on the size 18 and single maggot.

I'm yet to try maggot fishing yet tho maby one day I'll switch to the dark side lol
