Obviously Dan’s A0 was cool even though it felt very fry-like, but the C1 he did at the very end of the video literally almost broke my earbuds. Goddamn that was bass
Can i trust his voice? How can he that low? Because he honestly doesn't look even close to a true bass and surely doesn't sound like one when he sings that high
@@steveblack720 he uses subharmonics for lower notes and looks do not matter at all whatsoever so I don’t know where that’s coming from. Growl is based from the false folds and even a low bass like myself can growl down to F0 or even E0 without trouble. And his lower growls are called “fry growl” it’s where you force your growl lower than it’s supposed to go.
Billy Todd was a very talented bass singer and one of my favorites. He often doesn't get the recognition he should. I grew up listening to Mr. Todd when he was with the Florida Boys and singing on The Gospel Jubilee every Sunday morning. I'm 67 now so that was plus or minus 60 years ago. Very talented man!! RIP Mr. Todd.
I thought auto tune kept the pitch steady - I didn't realize it could lower the note. Are you saying it can? Can it make my G3 into a G2? I've long joked that what I want from A.I. is to load JD's voice into a vocoder that I can then sing. (For my own amusement; not trying to fool or usurp anyone 😊)
@@WillBravoNotEvilNowadays, yes. AI can autotune your note into a lower octave. However, most of the time (unless you have like an insanely good editing software) when you change your note that drastically, it'll end sounding like a robot and sometimes it even makes it so glitchy and distorted that you can even understand what the person is saying unless they tell you what their saying.
I’m not sure Dan Mirabal hit A0… if you listen it sounds like a double note, A3 with A1, and was croaky when he tried to hit A0, that’s where I hear A3 with A1 The mixture sounds like it’s “imitating” A0 but in my opinion (being a musician myself with a well trained ear) I don’t think it was true A0. Now, I very well could be wrong and I don’t mean any hate towards Dan because overall his range was AMAZING being able to sing all four parts for rainbow of love, bravo to him! But like I said, It definitely didn’t sound like A0, it would be generally classified as A1.
I always thought London Paris had the best cut to his low notes but George Younce is the best overall bass imho Kent turner always just sounded like he was burping. 😂😂😂
Who did it better? Write your opinion.
Ken Turner for sure 👏👏👏
Ken turner
Ken Turner
Ken Turner is the most impressive, but I'll vote for Bob Thacker for having the smoothest low note.
@@ailtonsouzadearaujojunior2210 it’s so smooth!!
Some true basses have no respect for us bass-baritones, putting a vibrato on a G1 😄
C2 didn’t impress me until I found it on a keyboard and tried it. I only have D2 most of the time, albiet nice sounding.
Jd Sumner heheh
If u got u might aswell use it lmfao I can do a G1 in chest can't say I've tried to do vibrato tho
FOR REAL
Ken Turner for the win !! the guy Dan at the end is probably sub harmonic VST in the mix
JD summers is the cleanest
It’s growl note
Ken turner also use subhurmoninc
Whether it's subharmonic or not it's still a technique all bass singers use and is technically still singing a note. So it counts.
@juliannemarshall-ryan7708 subharmonics isn't the same as a true bass but it helps bass singers get lower
🎶EVERY CLOUUUUDDD!!!!!🎶
Still singing it when they reach low notes
Obviously Dan’s A0 was cool even though it felt very fry-like, but the C1 he did at the very end of the video literally almost broke my earbuds. Goddamn that was bass
Well it was done in the growl technique so.

@@steveblack720 I’m pretty sure he’s a lower baritone but any voice type can train themselves bass, especially with extended techniques
This is great because it's introducing me to a lot of artists / groups I never heard before. I want to buy the album for each of them.
Thank you for putting Billy Todd in here! He’s my Cousin!!

Ken Turner, and London Paris
Yes
Bro,you've been on the grind ! Hopefully you'll get to 500 soon
JD Sumner and Ken Turner are real legends
To be fair JD Sumner as far as I know JD didn't respect Ken Turner for certain things about his notes but they both are good I do prefer JD personally
That last guy's voice definitely followed the rainbow, because it's autotuned to high heaven.

As a bass singer myself, here's a piece of advice. Don't eat anything b4 u sing. It will take most of the bass outta voice.
True for any singer!🫶
