Terry MacCarthy on Cross Examination - Part 6

The sixth in a series of lectures Mr. MacCarthy gave at Stetson which he has graciously allowed me to post here. Terry is a good friend, and a National Treasure! I commend him to you wholeheartedly. He is the master of teaching cross.

Long winded. Yes. Experienced. Yes. This is the third time I have listened to him. For those who really listened to all his stuff. I propped my phone up against my volume of "The Art of Cross Examination.". He has some gems.

YEAH, I'm older and more long-winded than him, but this IS getting interminable. hard to recall anyhing useful in #5, have to skim it to see. My notes on it are about 10, words about a puppy, tinkling and control....too little in too long, but he's lOVING it, any way , and it IS free, THANKFULLY. How would you like to fly to Fla for three days of that? BR

Good talker, but these are too unfocused. It would have been better if he had notes with bullets. Not just on this, but on all in the series. He loses his gist and sometimes gets it back and sometimes not. Id like to see more practice and demonstration. Thanks for sharing regardless.

Lots of good info, but good god he is long winded and takes forever to get to the point, oh yeah I thought that if he snorted one more time I was going to scream!

This guy is the most shockingly ineffective communicator I have ever seen. As a fellow public defender, I am shocked at how bad he is at making a point. The entire talk could have been done in 10 minutes. It’s like he is getting paid by the word.

This is really good shit but that story about how he came up with the list of types of impeachment was the most drawn out waste of time I have ever listened to.
