Great video. And loved the ion control shutting down the Defenders ability to take an evade. One point though at 15.52 Ryad was stressed and ioned. She moved the one white forward but lost the stress token and then barrel rolled... I'm I missing something?
It would get frustrating playing against this list. You can not really joust its probably best to try and play at range 3 where possible vs this control list.
I think since you guys spend a lot of your game time just explaining things, (which is great by the way, really appreciate it) you should give yourselves at least another 15 minutes. I know 75 is tournament rules but they don't explain things to people watching either.
Just a little rule detail question. At 15:37 Ryad moves and barrel rolls. How did she remove the stress since the ion movement is a 1 white forward move?
Why'd you use Accuracy Corrector on the B-Wing instead of Fire Control System? The B-Wing with 3 attack dice and 1 modifier has expected hits of 2.25, so Accuracy Corrector is usually a waste on 3 attack dice ships.
Accuracy Corrector allows the B-Wing to perform a red maneuver, barrel roll and so on without losing the attack modifier. Anyway, where should I invest this 1 point? In one Astromech?
+Thrawn | X-Wing Miniatures Game - Battle Reports so does FCS though and will have higher damage output throughout the game, not sure on what to do with the extra 1 point, but I know the 2 point FCS will do you more good than the 3 point Accuracy Corrector.
It depends on the situation and on the squad list your opponent is running. With Accuracy Corrector you are always free to choose your target. That's very important, if you face more than a 2 ship squad list or if you're forced to switch your targets every round.
+Thrawn | X-Wing Miniatures Game - Battle Reports that's very true, but with three attack dice odds are you'll roll 1.5 hits without modification. That Accuracy Corrector will help with .5 hits. Not that great and any type of modifier will work better for you whether through an action or through FCS. For instance, Accuracy Corrector went off once I think? Whereas FCS could had helped a lot more and would had the same impact with freeing up your actions for barrel and focus. Not saying it's a bad call, I just wanted to know the thought process behind choosing Accuracy Corrector in place of other upgrades, love your guys videos!
"I just wanted to know the thought process behind choosing Accuracy Corrector" Oh, I can tell you. Torben's squad list, which I made, is f*cking awesome! No doubt! This is the squad list which I made in the first place against the T/Defenders: goo.gl/IqLhny And I had no chance! After downgrading the B-Wing to Blue Squad, adding ion cannon and AC (because I didn't need this little 1 point), I ruled the game again.
In the combat phase you must first declare a target and then measure the distance between the ships, not measure all enemy ships' distances and then declare your best target!
Nope, sir! Rule Reference, page 4 ATTACK A ship can perform one attack when it becomes the active ship during the Combat phase. To perform an attack, the ship resolves the following steps in order: 1. Declare Target: The attacker may measure range to any number of enemy ships and check which enemy ships are inside his firing arc. Then the attacker chooses one of his weapons to attack with. Then he chooses one enemy ship to be the target and pays any costs required for the attack.
thanks guys! love the camera quality upgrade from last season.
that list is so powerful! thanks for recording the match
I miss X-wing and I miss this channel!!
Nice another video, I want to see Torben win :)
Those poor Defenders spent the whole battle ionized! That's a devious list. I like it.
I love that Y-Wing fighters are good in this game. They are my favorite fighter from the movies.

Torben was cheating ;-)

What is this song ? I really enjoy the battles with this sing :)
11:24 that moment where you just go Oh s&%$!! Heha good match, the control is powerful!
Hahaha ... yeah, that's so true!
great stuff guys.
Thanks!
Haha poor defenders, those green dice are so fickle. They got 1 damage almost every shot.

oh i miss 1.0, all of it BUT rebel control. aces were unplayable by the end but they are way different in 2.0. not the same without thrusters
The lesson seems to be, with a control "swarm" like this, try to stay split up

I've no idea. XD
It was a mistake.
Ok, Thought i missed something :)
Might I ask where you got your dials and bases.thanks for info
These are normal dials and bases. We have painted them with fluo paint.

I feel really sorry for Thorben...

I checked it, you're right! that makes the game so much easier!
