@@kofuzi I can understand that, I just thought it would be a cool video from your perspective! But if that video ever comes out i’ll be the first to click! Haha
Hi Mike, your videos are by far the best videos here on youtube. Nobody else does the way you test the shoes. I can always trust in that what you say. Keep it up.👍👍👍👍
Another shoe I would compare it with is the Mizuno Wave Sky 6 . This one is also a very nimble high cushioning shoe, and it is not too soft like what you described about this Salomon Aero Glide. There are so many brands and amazing shoes ... hard decisions !
I have the Salomon Glide Max from last year and this looks to have the same midsole and outsole, just a new upper. I'm using that as my daily/easy run shoe in my marathon training at the moment, it's been a great shoe. I'm really enjoying the wee bit of firmness it has, very stable and kind of fool-proof to run in, it's kind on the body in-between those longer or harder work outs. I'd definitely pick the Aero Glide up once those wear out... which I suspect will take quite some time!!
Didn't know a glide max existed...checked salomon website description and i think that you are right, same sole and midsole. You saved me 50€. Thanks!🙂
I have run about 50 miles in this shoe and I enjoy the feeling of the under foot foam. However I do feel like I’m leaning too forward when running and the cushion under my toes feels a little too thin, which makes it a little uncomfortable. Perhaps I should have gone for a half size bigger. Salomon going in the right direction with their road shoes. 🏃🏻♂️👍
I have the Glide Max from last year and the sole looks basically the same. I have the same issue that you're describing. I've done a about 40km, though admittedly my run today was the best they've felt. Hopefully it's something that will get better with time. I do think it has something to do with the high drop, but the cushioning should be enough. It's almost like my foot wants to slide/move forward and I'm clenching my toes to prevent this. During my run today I made a conscious effort to relax my toes and it was better, but whether that's a viable long term solution, I don't know. Hopefully the shoe will feel more natural as I use it more. I think the foam is pretty well dialled in, but I'm still struggling to get a consistent lock down as it loosens up over the course of the run. I think the tongue is too thick and gradually compresses, reducing the lace tension. Still, I think there is potential for the shoe to work well for me.
I haven´t run in this shoe, but I have in the Salomon Ultra Glide 2 being their max cushioned trail shoe (also a bit on the firmer side). It seems like these two make a nice pair.
I’ve always been intrigued by this brand but not easy to find. At least on my size here in 🇲🇽. The only shoe I’ve seen on stores are trail shoes from Salomon 🤷🏻♂️
I do understand $160 is a lot for a shoe but also I know people who are paying 300-600 on a pair of not super comfortable not going to wear as much so they don't crease them. I think that for the 300-400 Mile's I can get in a show is so worth it if the shoe is good.
I think you're talking apples and oranges though. 300-600 for a shoe you don't want to crease sounds more like a collectible whose performance characteristics are secondary (or perhaps even less important than that)
@@kofuzi Yeah, what I'm saying is if the shoe is good enough the price is quite justifiable in today's standards. But your very right it is basically a collectible at that point and not worth it to just look at it.
for years, I didn't ever mention prices, as prices vary widely over time, by region, and depending on how comfortable one is with buying from a potentially questionable internet seller
You should make a tier list video of all the brands based off their current line up! That’d be pretty cool!
now would be a very weird time to make that list. we're in between seasons

Thanks Ko! This review was exactly what I needed to know of where the shoe landed compared to others. Thanks brother!👏
Kofuzi is on 🔥 this week
Excellent review sir, I hate your reviews for the fact that I always feel like I need the shoe you’re talking about afterwards 😂😂😂😂

It’s a great time to be a runner
The sky 6 is massively underrated
Wohooo.. new kofuzi video 🏃🏃🏃

Well another great shoe to consider as my brooks glycerin 20s are wearing out. Can find triumphs 20 locally though now so probably going that way …
I think Glycerine wearers will find the Aero Glide really quite nice
Thank you very much nice review as always
I was hoping for a comparison with the Nimbus 25 as well! 🙂
very different
@@kofuzi Sorry to be asking a lot of questions, but could you explain a bit? Thank you.

10mm drop…love Salomon design and tech but not their preference of drop
Yeah, I don’t usually enjoy anything over 8mm drop in most iterations. It changes my stride/landing too much. Find it annoying with the Triumph 20’s.

But now there is a Glide Max Trail…
@@kofuzi oh... I didn´t knew that. Two high stack trail shoes.
This is the reinterpretation of the Glide Max that wasn’t officially released in the US last year. If anything, it should be called GlideMax 2.
what hat is that in your opening run montage? the white one? Thanks!
I just went on their website I'm getting these for sale 125 you think it's a great buy ? I'm a beginner runner
How's it compare to the Glideride 3?
the shoes would be used similarly, but the glideride 3 is a much softer shoe
more cushion for the pushin.
your livestreams are back?
they never quit
Mizuno wave rider 26 🔥🔥🔥😀
Very pretty 🎉 nice heels
hey kofuzi. would you pick this shoe, or the novablast 3 TR, which is discounted almost everywhere at this point?
my preferences would lead me to the Novablast 3 TR
@@kofuzi interesting! thanks.
Another one for the , “is it a running shoe or a Harley Davidson” challenge.
Salomon really needs to improve their supply chains. Most of their shoes are limited in store and it frustrating to get their product 🤨
I'm not familiar with Salomon distribution. what country/region are you in?
@@kofuzi Malaysia. Salomon does have several stores in this country .
Does it run a bit long size wise? At least these have real laces.
Nope
Can you do like tempo training as a Beginner? I want to train for 5km under 20, is this shoe fast enough?
Excellent buy for this price, I have got one in my collection and absolutely love it
Looks like mix of Asics and Hoka.
