I don't understand how anyone can watch for more than two minutes and not see that the two of you have a sort of joking banter that is funny and playful and part of your relationship and that obviously you weren't serious (with the exception of possibly some viewers who might miss certain social cues and take things super literally... because I know I have at least one kid who sometimes misses things in that way). I'm sorry you guys are getting those sorts of comments. But I'm glad you're sticking up for yourselves and explaining things for people who are missing what's going on. And I loved the footage of your mom's place. She did great vlogging. Hoping they're staying safe right now and this coming weekend.

So I understand how you're sensitive to tone and conflict in general. I was like you at first but then I learned to communicate with my husband instead of bottling things inside for fear of disagreeing. Sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's hard. But we are so much closer and we have grown together so much. Passionate discussions, even arguments are totally normal and part of growing together. Sometimes you have to weed the garden to enjoy it! 😂
I think every great creator is made better by listening to constructive critics and understands that if critics are.coming from the right place, and have supported from the start...they should try to listen. By the way, I wasn't a critic on this issue but I don't agree that kissing someone's ass gets anyone anywhere.

I am a rather new subscriber and I never comment on videos, but when I found your channel I instantly fell in love with your family. The appeal of your channel is that you are real. I even got some sunglasses just to support your message. I understood you were just messing around and i totally get your humor.
Miranda your comment just describes my experience with them completely. When I first saw the channel I feel in love as I remember lying in bed one night early on, wondering what Abbie was doing then. I wish I could still watch every vlog but school is making me so busy and I don’t have time to catch up on a weeks worth of vlogs on the weekends... I’ll still try to watch as many as I can though!

People are so quick to judge when it really isn't needed. If you don't know the people making the comments and rude remarks then there opinion shouldn't matter to you. As long as in your heart you know what your doing is right for you and your family then that's what's matters.

Stuff like this is actually why I tend to avoid reading the comment section on every vlog channel I'm subscribed to because there always seems to be drama that could be avoided if people would take a few minutes to actually READ when vloggers give extra explanations and not just spout off a comment without thinking about the fact that you're real people. I understand that not everything comes across as intended sometimes and it's okay for people to ask questions for clarification, but honestly, just take a few minutes to scroll through and see if the comment or question you want to leave has already been addressed! I am a home care nurse for chronically ill pediatrics, most of which are atypical. It’s funny because when they love music rap, and hip hop music is the one that they are most drawn to. I think it’s the best. They aren’t paying attention to the words so who cares as long as they are enjoying themselves! It’s hard for people who don’t work with these kind of children to understand sometimes. I love what your family is doing. You’ve even taught me patience with my patients when I already thought I had plenty!

Exactly, I almost wrote the exact same thing. My late husband and I were together 14 years before he died, since I was 14 years old and we went back and forth all the time, it was funny and I miss that comfortable bantering so much. My husband was always making jokes and I remember when we were like 18 he was jokingly calling me something, I think he called me a blasphemous wench because I said I hated something. I'm sure it sounded mean, but I knew he was joking, obviously he was joking but we were at a grocery store and this older couple gave him the dirtiest look, and kept staring him down . He found it hilarious

People are so quick to judge when it really isn't needed. If you don't know the people making the comments and rude remarks then there opinion shouldn't matter to you. As long as in your heart you know what your doing is right for you and your family then that's what's matters.

Thank you for your openness and honesty, I absolutely love your family, you are so obviously a loving, joking , sarcastic family which is what makes you such a joy to watch. Sometimes people are dealing with their own junk and it transfers on to something else. Folks who on any other day would have seen that and thought it was funny, but yesterday they were having a lousy day, so they relayed that through comments.

Seriously people if you watch this channel at all you should know that Asa and Priscilla have a great relationship! I found it clearly obvious that they were joking around. It makes me sad that YOU feel sad. Stuff like this is actually why I tend to avoid reading the comment section on every vlog channel I'm subscribed to because there always seems to be drama that could be avoided if people would take a few minutes to actually READ when vloggers give extra explanations and not just spout off a comment without thinking about the fact that you're real people. I understand that not everything comes across as intended sometimes and it's okay for people to ask questions for clarification, but honestly, just take a few minutes to scroll through and see if the comment or question you want to leave has already been addressed! Also so important what you said, Asa; the people you're watching on TH-cam are REAL people with REAL feelings, and even though you may feel entitled to give your opinion however you want, treat the comment section as if you were talking to the person face-to-face. Would you say what you wrote to their face? I love you guys and I hope you don't feel as though this incident reflects how the majority of us feel about you and your family.

I am a home care nurse for chronically ill pediatrics, most of which are atypical. It’s funny because when they love music rap, and hip hop music is the one that they are most drawn to. I think it’s the best. They aren’t paying attention to the words so who cares as long as they are enjoying themselves! It’s hard for people who don’t work with these kind of children to understand sometimes. I love what your family is doing. You’ve even taught me patience with my patients when I already thought I had plenty!

I am kinda new here but I have watched some of your older vlogs and I never thought you were being serious. You guys remind me quite a bit of my ex-husband and myself and how we were before things got bad between us. Lol. The people who really know us used to say we were a lot like Dan and Roseanne lol.

I do think your a positive role model for a lot of people, watching you & Priscilla working hard to make sure your kids want for nothing, materialistically and emotionally. Exactly, I almost wrote the exact same thing. My late husband and I were together 14 years before he died, since I was 14 years old and we went back and forth all the time, it was funny and I miss that comfortable bantering so much. My husband was always making jokes and I remember when we were like 18 he was jokingly calling me something, I think he called me a blasphemous wench because I said I hated something. I'm sure it sounded mean, but I knew he was joking, obviously he was joking but we were at a grocery store and this older couple gave him the dirtiest look, and kept staring him down . He found it hilarious
