it was quite spectacular. I only wish I'd managed to get down there an hour earlier when the tide was all the way in and would've been much higher. Having said that, I think having the two people walk into this video made it much better, and I would've missed that. Thanks for watching and commenting ;-)
I knew I should've edited that out :-) It was wild that day. I'm really glad those people walked into the shot, as it added a lot of foreground interest. So I'm publically thanking them now, just in case they are watching, whoever they were.
@qwertyscot If he'd fallen into the sea and climbed out covered in seaweed I think it would have been the funniest thing I'd ever have seen.....and I'm not a nasty person, really I'm not!
@GaryGSF In any other country the news shows the population wailing, the country on its knees and mass panic and destruction. Here we give it an insulting name and ask if that's the best it can do. Not my idea I'm afraid, somebody else came up with the name. Funny 'cos it got a lot of news coverage and the smirking newscasters on the TV and radio knew the name but couldn't say it on air. Think they referred to it as "Hurricane BB"
I am in Irvine for summer 2018 and the sun is shining for almost 3 weeks now. I am blown away!
Lucky me.

Great video, but you spoiled my awe for a photographer who'd braved the elements in pursuit of his art by operating the screen wiper. Well done!
Nice day for a walk down the beach!

A summer’s day in Irvine. You should see the winter.
@HDTrooper I guess I could've filmed the rescue mission...or just the recovery if the rescue failed. Either way it'd have been a hit on TH-cam :-)

2:09 He realises he has got his trainers wet. I wonder how long it will take his mate to realise his jeans are a wee bit wet:)
