I live in Thailand and am going to build one from a 4'x8' sheet of mirror finish stainless steel. I found a company in the Netherlands that makes a small turbine with Integrated generator. I will use an arduino controlled fuel injector to spray water in one end and hopefully produce superheated steam to turn the turbine. A Nighthawk video shows a simple way to make a solar tracker. Another video shows a parabolic panel that rotates around a fixed solor collector pipe.
Hey Mike i like the direction you are going and bid you good luck sir! Thanks for posting tracker reference. I would highly recommend looking at Sergiy yurko's video on using oil as a medium because oil can retain energy for much longer. The system in this video is fantastic because it gets hot enough to use that medium.
@@paulsoucy5834 I do not understand why we can't build simple powerplants like this in Africa for example. Makes me mad. I bet you could even rip out old plane turbines and convert them into crude steamturbines. Build cheap solar trackers with 1 photocell and an arduino. Since the sun is nearly overhead the closer you are on the equator and atmosphere the thinnest a trough running from north to south could track the sun perfectly with rising efficiency. They could make power while simultaneously desalinate water with the excess heat for irrigation. Truly makes me mad that it doesn't happen.
The parabolic reflectors are curved to direct the energy to a point in this case the absorber tube. The absorber tube is type K copper and has a selective coating with a low emmisivity and a high absortivity. The fexible hoses are teflon with a stainless steel outer braiding. This is mainly used with thermal oil because and not steam, steam can be very dangerous because of the high pressures. Have a great day, Paul
Desalination namely involves heating sea water until it produces steam and cooling down the steam afterwards. A Troth is the heat supply and the concentrated sea water leftover is called “Brine”. Brine can be a pollutant if directly injected back into the ocean, but it can be harmlessly injected into the ground instead
Hi, There are many ways, basically you heat the water up then the water vapor condensates on a cool surface and then forms distilled water then collects in a seperate container. There are more sufiticated ways like pulling a vaccum but the concept is the same. Thank you! Have a good day, Paul
wow... fantasy. can this construction be done by yourself? can this heat be stored in the ground or can this heat be converted into electricity that could be stored?
i want this type of parabolic trough collector for my research work. please tell me the cost of solar parabolic collector . actually i am from Andhrapradesh, India.

Awesome! Good to see folks making there own solar systems. Thank you! Have a great day, Paul

yes you are correct. I never could understand why we can't do more. Thanks for your input! Paul
Hai sir can u tell me total cost of the equipment
I'd love to see more of this along with the steam output and turbine/battery setup.
Explain in detail the components of the solar dish collector head, its reflectors, and the steam hoses.

Super! Thank you very much!
Best one i've seen on utube yet, nice job
Thanks! Have a good day, Paul
Hello Paul:
Excellent video. I loved.
How could it be used for your system to desalinate seawater?

Hi paul which type of pipe you used to connect the outlet of the parabolic trough.
Hi Sir, sorry for the delay, I used teflon tubing with stainless steel braiding on the outside. Thank you! Have a great day, Paul
I think you can use it for water filter (collecting vapour)
wow... fantasy. can this construction be done by yourself? can this heat be stored in the ground or can this heat be converted into electricity that could be stored?
Hi, Sorry for the delay. Yes you could with a larger system. Thanks you! Have a great day, Paul
Hello Paul, what type of pipe tube (collector) are using? staninless steel? Regards.
He said copper tube with a high heat absorbing coating
Hi, Sorry for the delay. For this application we are using type K copper tubing. Thank you! Have a great day, Paul
wonderful 🎉❤
Thank you!
i want this type of parabolic trough collector for my research work. please tell me the cost of solar parabolic collector . actually i am from Andhrapradesh, India.
Where would one find 97% reflective material material for a project like this. Great project, thanks
That is standard reflectivity of aluminum
Flashing material?
Use aluminized mylar. Space blanket
You need to search around the internet. Thank you! Have a great day, Paul
can you explain how much liquid it heats on how much L/min
Hi, Sorry for the delay! This system was shipping out to a college so I did not put any liquid in the system. Thank you! Have a great day, Paul
Those things are so efficient the evacuated collector that they can get water to boil in 15 degrees or lower
What fluid is used for heat transfer for such high temperatures? It is really amazing such high temperatures can be achieved by solar system.
Brake fluid, soybean oil
Hi, Sorry for the delay. This system was shiping out to a college so I did not have any fluid in the absorber tube. Thank you! Have a great day, Paul
It s great manufactoring...thanks
Thank you!
pls shear motor and gear system details
Hi, Its called a slewing drive with a 24 Volt DC Motor. Thank you! Have a good day, Paul
Is this available for purchase?
Hi, Sorry for the delay. Yes you can relpy to envsolar@comcast.net Thank you! Have a great day, Paul
Cost?
Hi, Sorry for the delay! Please email us at envsolar@comcast.net Thank you! Have a great day, Paul

Hi sorry I don't understand your language! Thank you! Have a good day, Paul
that bad engraving first horizontal then vertical
When you edit the video to upload it, don't you see this?
Sorry! I am not a profesion video guy. I did this cold turkey no editing. Thanks! Have a good day, Paul
I hate the wrong angle video.
Sorry! I am not a profesion video guy. I did this cold turkey no editing. Thanks! Have a good day, Paul
Stolen
No! We have a patent on forming the parabolic curve from a flat sheet of aluminum! Thank you! Have a greta day, Paul
Bad video , did not understand nothing , and bad audio Thumbs Down !
