Reading subtitles is a great start, it helped me so much... I never liked english as a subject in school, learned the basics and managed to speak it at an acceptable level, but the real improvement was when I started watching shows and listening to music with subtitles... and the fun part is, you're not even aware you're learning while you're doing it, until suddenly you wake up one day and you don't need the subs anymore 😉👍
