Thanks for sharing that as I was interested to see how they perform indoors. I have had so much fun flying with the Sport Cub 500 through goal posts, catching in mid-air, landing consistently in an area, mid mode loops, expert rolls, low level flying, passing close to camera, and these planes are so forgiving of mistakes, hence why you can do these things, even though it was my second only plane. I did nearly rip a wing off when I hit a goal post but within 10 mins and after glue it was flying again with hardly any visible damage. I've hit my camera tripod a few times passing very close. But the plane is very tough. As you develop as a flyer, so you can increase the mode level, or you can use a mode to suit the wind/conditions. I find mid mode is generally the most relaxing for slight stabilisation but with sharp control. I have filmed them a lot. So good I bought two.

They are brilliant value for money has to be said. Hugely enjoyed flying them around in that session. Ailerons was a must though ! Good to hear you enjoy it.

@@EssentialRC Yes I agree that the 4 channels would be an advantage, and also a good way to learn right from the start.

These are almost too fast and heavy for indoor flight (I have both). The under-cambered wing DOES help with low speed lift.
The wings and tail feathers are thicker and more durable than lighter and more fragile e-Flite AS3X birds, which adds weight along with that added mass from the rubber (or whatever)-impregnated foam bead material that makes it flexible.
The stabilizing system allows it to fly well in breezes. The 10mm coreless motor and gear reduction allow for rather fast top speeds too.
Not indestructible - Verified. You just need to hit a tree limb with your wing going fast enough ;-) Snapped off one near the wing root. The repair is almost invisible. See any sign of it in the video below?
Here's my Sport in 4-7 mph wind gusts. It will give a good idea of the plane's slowest and fastest flying speeds. Slowest passes are into the wind: th-cam.com/video/JNDccw4SMdI/w-d-xo.html

These little 3 & 4 channel planes from the Volantex V761-1 to 6 series are brilliant starter planes for noobs or even very cheap & portable fun for other fliers. Only provisos are be sure to read the manual first (especially as concerns servo reversal!) and take heed that there is no motor failsafe at loss of signal. But the normal Transmitter range is far more than any sensible person will need.

I've run out of range when the wind started pushing it away from me maybe 150 yards away. It basically started going in tight circles. I cut power and luckily it missed several rooftops when it came down intact. Keep an eye on transmitter battery voltage. I hear they drain cells fairly fast.

@@Doggeslife Thanks Dogge. Good pickup as I'd not really noticed any rudder/aileron activity in my normal switch-off-on-bench test. Got a couple of other in-field range tests to do this weekend so we'll check it out. I've not had any transmitter voltage problems (only use bulk buy alkalines) - well except when they get turned on accidentally or the memory goes la-la. ;-)

Hi Dom, this video too, is nice and interesting.
but take away my curiosity, how big is the gym?
Certainly much more than a room in the house, but I can't understand how much. The ceiling is certainly over six meters (18 feet) but I can't understand length and width

    whats different red and blue?

    • @Doggeslife
      @Doggeslife 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Blue (Super) = 3 channel with throttle, rudder and elevator control.
Red (Sport) = 4 channel ... All above plus ailerons. Both planes come with the same transmitter.
I have also seen the Sport available at Aliexpress under a different brand name and in yellow/white instead of red/white.

I want to see that third plane that was in the air during your first flight. Little 3D plane.

Wish it wasn't Bangood. I have had zero lucky buying from there and lost money each time.

The 4ch plane is also available under different brand names, and sold by other webshops. Look for Top Race Sky Eagle for instance, sold on Amazon. Don't get the 3ch one, even if you are a beginner, the 4ch one flies just as easy, and has more to offer when you progress as pilot.

Got mine at Bang Good just after Black Friday. Shipping was $8. Right now the price says $62.99.
Make sure you select the USA warehouse if you live there. Christmas wiped them out, so wait for re-stock.
