My parents bought me this game on my 9th birthday because the guy at the game store said it was a fairly decent game and once I played it, its been one of my favorites ever since. I still go back and play it and its just as fun as the first time. Proof that a game doesn't need to be visually impressive to make a great game.
He went in as Alkeiser... I dont remember going into battle like that up against Red's final boss. But then again, it's been almost a decade since I've played that game. It was an experience I tell ya... AN EXPERIENCE!! lol I do miss that game a lot.
Yeah. You unlock 2nd Division, which is an extra place where you can do things like fight other FInal Bosses and super fights, most of which are almost impossible. There are also thanks and congrats from the developers.
At the start of the Game, his family is taken captive by Black X. (Terrorist Organization bent on world domination) Red's Father Dr. Okonogi, has info on Dr. Klein a former friend and colleague of Dr. Okonogi who runs Black X, so that's why they are captured. Red runs into Shuzer who beats him up and a man in a black costume (Alkarl) saves him by giving him a suit that enhances Red's latent abilites. Red assumes the Role of Alkaiser.
Honestly, it doesn't take that long if you know where and how to level up your characters. For me, I went and used the infinite credits glitch to buy my characters all the best stuff *Rune and Zero sword, AGUNI-MBX, Powered Suit, Warlord Armor, Jet Boots, Hyper Glove, and Hyperwear*, then I went and fought enemies in areas ONLY using the basic weapon attack. This quickly raises your stats, and makes it a lot easier to learn skills, especially Jutsu. This got me to near max lv in under 20 hours.
Lute's game was really bare bones. If I remember correctly, he only has two 'missions' in his story, the introductory one and the final one. I think it'd be hard to argue that anyone else's game was worse.
Oh yeah, definitely. After so many years, I still have yet to beat Riki's game (I have great difficulty pulling off Lv 5 Combos for Vergil). I remember Blue/Rouge's ending scaring me a little, but I was pretty young then. The R3X thing looks like a weird joke they decided to add, like the fake teaser of a sequel to Alkaiser's story.
ahh, so thats what really happan. i remember my brother buying another saga frontier and giving me his years ago cause he didn't understand why blues ending stop at the last hit to the boss. he kept thinking it was a time think like defeat it in 20 turns or something like that. guess after all these years, we were wrong lol. i still have this game to in great condition. i wonder why they didn't just add that ending in there for blue. Gen was my favorite characater.
at least saga frontier was really unique because i'm tired of playing only the main character like bajillion games where the story involves one person so this game was different. it's all about gameplay i'm tired of hearing that it's all about graphics i'm so sick of that because i played games on sega genesis that will make fresh meat out of today's games.

Red can only transform when no humans or mystics are watching. Some parts of the game he stays transformed for plot reasons. During battle, you can make him change if humans and mystics are not in your party, are all unconscious or blind.

the giant eyeball is his second ultimate attack. it injures you and cuases status effects. just use dogue gaze and you'll be ok

You gotta admit though. He still whomped his ass though. Which is amazing to watch with a game like this. I laughed the whole way though it.

yeah i understand, sometimes i play with the "worst" line ups possible, makes me feel more accomplished
i love saga frontier! i like it just as much as the final fantasy series plus red rules

What happened in the end? I remember reading something about Red dying or losing his memory if anyone found out his true identity.

You can't unless you use gameshark or some similar means of cheating. There is no way in-game to increase life points for any character, period.

No you still fight the same enemy, the final boss was not changed.

THrough legit means, I was able to get Blue to have the DSC and nearly 180 JP and WP. It's not impossible.
