SOLVED 10-Year Missing Person Cold Case (Daniel Riggs), 20+ Cars Found!

- AFTER 10 YEARS, DANIEL RIGGS HAS BEEN FOUND!
Today we traveled to Georgetown, SC to search for missing person, Daniel Riggs who vanished from his Mt. Pleasant home back in 2015 along with his vehicle, a Black Dodge Nitro. After my partner Jason Souhrada spoke with the Detective on the case, we learned his phone last pinged in Georgetown near Brown's Ferry Landing which immediately was suspicious. After conducting a quick sonar search on the area we discovered over 20 sunken vehicles including Daniel's car. After calling the police and removing the car, human remains were discovered inside which as of now, have been collected and the coroner’s office is working to confirm the identification through dental records.

Great job!!! Only a couple suggestions with respect. Not sure if you talked to them about the car with a barrel in it, that’s super odd. Also, I think you should get some match box cars to help explain cars angles etc. for the future, I think Jared uses them and I think it helps everyone understand and get on the same page. I have a friend that has been missing with a car for 23 years and counting, so what you guys are doing means a lot to me personally. I'm glad you were able to prevent his family from having to go through that anymore.

Sad. As a former cop in MD, I took a missing person's report. I then went on vacation. About 2 weeks later, I'm back on patrol and someone walked up to me and asked if the person found in the woods was the person. It turned out to be the person. The thing that struck a nerve with me, the agency/supervisor did not notify me during first day back roll call. The other thing that stuck with me, was when the parents were reporting their daughter missing, I did not have a good feeling about it. They seemed ashamed of their daughter's life style. I assured them that no matter how she lives, that was their daughter and we will do the best we can to locate her. 15 year cold case.

I honestly wish I had time for it. I start a year long college program next week. I’ll have zero free time. On top of that I’m the breadwinner for my family of 4 so my career in medical will take up most of my time.

P.S. I got to witness some of the excavation process in Washington. It was a sight to see. I used to live a few blocks from that part of Jack's Creek in the late 80's. I had once heard about a carload of men going missing in the Pamlico, but had no idea that it was so close to my home at one point. That curve used to have minimal protection. I can see how it ended up in the water, but none of us knew how deep that one spot is. Amazing find on your part. Thank you, sir!

Yes. It felt very different than the AWP videos. We don’t need it to look like a professional documentary. It’s about the missing and the mission to find the missing. It’s not about putting the families on camera so people can see them grieving and in pain. The family shouldn’t even be there for that. It’s not how you want to remember your loved one. Thanks Adam for making it about the missing.

You guys are just amazing. I saw Nug's podcast last night with Adam and Jason. I am full of admiration for what you do and as Nug said last night you can go so long finding empty cars but then it comes as a bit of a shock to then find a missing person. Condolences to Daniel's family and friends who will be forever grateful that Adam and Nug continue to provide answers for the families. I cannot believe that in that small area of water that there are at least 20 vehicles underwater and the fact there is no longer a search team in the area that most are not known about. This is a major clean up operation and you saw in the podcast how desperate Nug was to get out there and get it done. Keep it going guys, love all the channels you are part of!!!!

Your film and narrative are enough to inform your viewers of what you are doing but do not fall into the “drama” buildup some others do. Respectful reporting/informing ! I applaud you and your team for jobs well done. I’m sure Daniel’s family is appreciative of your efforts.
So proud of both of you to continue the searches for those missing, not only have you cleaned the waterways of cars giving off oil, but you Adam and Jeremy are bringing those missing back to their loved ones, giving them the answers they needed to find peace and lay him to rest. True. But each car gives off 4 to 6 quarts of oil each. Sorry, but billions of tones are dumping into the ocean as we speak. So. Oil is the last on my mind watching these videos. I mean there is gas, but electrical wiring, battery acid, paint, even the appolstered seats are labeled dangerous in California as cancer causing. So. 4 quarts of oil, that originally come from under waterways where they are drilled out of holes between rocks , remember, oil is obtained from just like 15 feet underground, and isn't wrapped in anything, oil is made by the EARTH ITSELF. So, hone in on another hazard like dead bodies in the water is more dangerous than oil. Really is.
You did it again, helping a family getting the answers they have been looking for for so long.
Keep up the good work because there are still so many families in need of divers that are willing to do almost everything to find their lost ones but also helping law enforcement solve missing persons cases.

That car was well and truly sealed. No water inside the vehicle. Just the fact that the vehicle stood upright in the water proved how airtight that vehicle was. So glad the family has closure.
So he passed away from lack of oxygen, not drowning? And was unconscious so he could not escape his car? So many unanswered questions.

I just don't understand why the waterways aren't scanned and cleaned annually. And then, if the car was not reported stolen the owner should be fined.
Seriously would be too expensive for law enforcement. They now rely on these businesses to do it as they have the expensive equipment. Some areas have so many bodies of water it could take all year to scan and not even hit all of them. That’s the reality.

I DEFINITELY got a creepy feeling when you found the one vehicle with the barrel in it, and with so many people missing, I’d hate for them to be right there and be missed, EVEN IF there isn’t any other people missing from that area, it doesn’t mean that someone didn’t end up there either by choice or by foul play.
