    My mom had two babies. We were both 100% bottle fed formula simply because my mom didn't want to breastfeed us. ABSOLUTELY valid, regardless of if the other parent wants to or even can breastfeed.

    So much respect for you. I breastfed both my babies but your body/your decision. Breastfeeding was hard and seemed to take over my body in ways that were so uncomfortable. "I don't want to breastfeed" is most certainly valid.

    You ladies are amazing! I’ve always wanted to have babies naturally, but due to my seizure medications it causes brain deformities. Without finding the right person I can’t adopt, but love babysitting and I’m an auntie to my BFF daughter who I’ve been friends with since we were two(42yrs).

    Gosh this vlog has taken me back to my child birthing days. My 1st baby was induced due to preeclampsia but went reasonably well, babies 2 and 3 were born incredibly fast. No 3 arrived in the lift going up to the delivery suite. I'd spent 8 weeks on bed rest due to placenta pravia, and was meant to have been a planned c-section but he decided to arrive the week before. I had a small bleed but nothing major. Fast forward 8 years and baby no4 would not remain head down so they took me into theatre to hold him head down, break my waters and induce me. Unfortunately he tried to dive out, got stuck and we needed an emergency csection. Other than the drama we were both fine. In fact as you (or certainly this was the case for me) have more babies the after pains and the amount of loss increases. But because they suction alot of the placenta and loss for you after a section and give you a strong set of painkillers I actually recovered so much quicker. Milk came in a day or two later, compared to a vaginal delivery. Baby no 5 was a planned section and went really well. Pfff I haven't thought of my births for years. No1 is 30 no5 is nearly 16. Eventually these stories come out once in a blue moon. Good luck for the future!

    I love you both, but going through nursing school and almost done, that the belly shot that they gave her was Heparin (blood thinner), they give it after surgery to prevent blood clots. I know nurses can be annoying ( trust me I hate bothering patients when they are sleeping as a nursing student), but it's part of the job to keep everyone safe.

      As a NICU nurse myself who sometimes cares for babies rooming in with mom I think most moms understand this but it's understandably rough to have a constant stream of interruption to their rest. Some can lose their temper and I don't blame them! As a nurse you'll learn to cluster care to minimize interruptions as much as you can. The postpartum period in the hospital can be really rough.

    I have a genuine (maybe stupid) question about the choice not to breastfeed: Is there a process you go through to avoid producing milk/ becoming engorged, after giving birth if you're choosing not to breastfeed?

    That was the coolest ad I’ve ever seen! I think it’s the first time I’ve ever seen an offer that I was so impressed with that I will purchase on a video!

    I highly recommend making this the last time you dissect who had the most success or difficult experiences regarding your birth stories…..
    I say that with the most respect and gentleness.
    Truly, you both are amazing mommies and your experiences are valid and important just as you experienced it and there’s no way to compare or contrast them.
    It’s simply different and you can appreciate and respect each other’s differences.
    So much love❤

    I got blood thinners in my stomach during the entire pregnancy. I was told to inject myself at midnight because I was resting after for long time. So, for 39 weeks I was doing it every night like that. And also, that is the time at the hospital night is the time they can check on you more often in case something is wrong

    This has been two questions I have wondered every since I saw that ya'll was pregnant
    If lactation induction would have failed for Sam (Glad it didn't, so happy for you) would Allie considered breastfeeding if it would have helped the babies or would it be strictly bottle feeding for the babies?
    If Allie didn't want to breastfeed and Sam lactation would have failed (again I am happy that it didn't) would Allie have considered pumping but not breastfeeding??
    P.S. I am very happy for ya'll, the babies are very adorable. Congratulations!!

      It was the way she said it, not what she said, that I enjoyed. They are so honest and loving, which I adore, so when she said it I just imagined that it was coming from a place of love and not a place of resentment.
      That’s the way I saw it, and I apologize if that offended you.
      I just love how they worked their way through that question together. Watching happy couples communicate about things we don’t often get to see is amazing. I loved watching them answer it is all.

    Dads do skin to skin too. I’m pretty sure they started skin to skin so dads could have that close connection like moms almost or as close as possible being that they couldn’t carry them for 9-10 months but the babies are supposed to get used to the smell of the parent that didn’t carry them but also for warmth from either parent

    • @cattbutt7758
      @cattbutt7758 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Okay? There are no dads here. Dont know why you brought up dads.

    • @bri2146
      @bri2146 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@cattbutt7758 not in a mean way. She said “Since you’re the mother who gave birth…” and I was just saying that didn’t need to exclude Sam from being able to do skin to skin bc the parent that doesn’t give birth is meant to give skin to skin too. I didn’t have to mention it in a heteronormative way, you’re right and I’m sorry, but I also wanted to just point out that dads (typically the parent that doesn’t give birth) do skin to skin so she wouldn’t feel the need to explain why she did skin to skin with the babies. They’re hers too and all parents can and should do skin to skin❤️❤️

    I think both of you are amazing mommies. I will say though I was third degree had to push my huge son out that was 9 lbs 14 oz. Tore all the way to my butthole trying not to be extremely graphic but it's still truth and did everything myself. I could not rest. So hopefully now you guys are doing equal amounts and appreciating but the other is doing. I would rather rest in bed after just having surgery then to have to take care of two babies and my partner on my own. I wish the only thing I wish that I heard in this video was I'm sorry you felt that way and I wish I would have helped more. I can definitely tell that Sam did so much. Of course Ali carried the babies but that's actually one of the easiest parts. And she did not push for hours she had to see section. I don't want to offend you. It's just my opinion and will we all have them. I'm new to your videos and I really enjoy your videos thank you for sharing you both are amazing.
