What I love about Trivium is that the bass is SO apparent in the mix. What a mighty sound.
Paolo is easily one of the best bassists in metal rn, especially on the more mainstream side. You won’t find many guys who play like him outside of prog bands

i love the bass in this track. every song i hear, paolo makes me wanna learn bass more and more
Do it!! When done right, bass can make a song infinitely more interesting than just spicing up the guitars could (imo), and Paolo does it right a lot :')
I'm primarily a guitarist but bass just feels more fun imo. That feeling when you dial in a nice THICC tone and give that B string a nice slap is just ... hhnhnhnhggg
Legit! I've been a bassist for 20 years or so and I love his tone. The bass should enhance the song or mix. Not just be burried. Bass can lift up the guitar tone and make the drums slap more! DO IT! \m/

In Waves was just a masterpiece. Low guitar riffs, melodic sections, heavily guitar driven album.
Have you only heard In Waves album? 🤔 Practically their entire dichography is based on melodic metalcore, plus they have other songs from other albums with a lower tuning🤘

But Caustic Are the Ties That Bind is my favorite Trivium song. The message relates with me the most.

I don’t know about that one man, BMTH, Alpha Wolf, Currents, Deftones and Loathe tied for AOTY for me last year. This year, Ice Nine Kills, Spiritbox, Brand of Sacrifice, Darko US, and Slaughter to Prevail are all in competition and I don’t know if Trivium can beat any of them, even though they’re an absolutely amazing band.

@@ryanbollinger1759 you hit on a lot of my favorites from last year. Alpha Wolf, BMTH, Currents, and Deftones were definitely among my favorites last year, but Trivium kept me coming back the most. Spiritbox and INK will definitely be contenders this year for sure. I like the new Darko album a lot too, but it's not "aoty" contender for me personally. Still solid though and can't wait wait for Slaughter's new one 🤘

I think Alex is the best drummer in metalcore right now. I can listen to trivium for hours and just listen to him drum. He’s so damn talented. Trivium is just a great band period.
