You’ve really upped your video portion of this seasonal offering. I really love seeing all the different pieces on you. I know you’ll find that really helpful. I have a friend who had a bulletin board in her closet with pictures of her in lots of different outfit combos. Such an easy way to make getting dressed even easier.
That's a great idea too! there are a lot of apps available for your smart phone that you can also put a picture of all your clothes in and then mix and match!
Your wardrobe is absolutely gorgeous! I have way too many clothes and can’t seem to cut back, but I’m going to sell my house and this is the perfect opportunity to box up 3/4 of my clothes to show off my closet and make it look bigger. I’ll use your example to just keep one capsule wardrobe in my closet.
You might think about placing your items of clothing in color groups, like the rainbow. This makes it easy for the client’s eyes to glide across your clothes and see the expanse of the closet. Eyes like order & it helps so much.
Love seeing all your spring pieces and how colorful they are. Such a great capsule! I especially love your Wanderlust. Those colors just sing on you! Beautiful!
It's 66 degrees in Ohio today, so I'm in the mood to sew spring garments. Your colors make me smile! The Wanderlust dresses always look beautiful on you, and the length is perfect!
Beautiful wardrobe! I am sewing basics. I realized that I have nothing that makes me feel joyful in my closet. The things that I reach for are comfortable but nothing that tells my story- . Meanwhile, here in Coastal Bend area of Texas it is 77degrees with 98% humidity and no breeze! I enjoy learning about your seasons and how you dress for them. Thank you for sharing and for your hard work. Have an awesome day!
So many lovely pieces. My favorites on you are the dark denims and white skirt. I’m eyeballing those patterns bc they are sooo cute. Your Cashmerette Vernon will always be a star - chef’s kiss.
These are stunning colors! Bright and cheery 😊 I enjoy your seasonal videos even though I’m a cool gal (winter). I wish I could wear your orange and yellow! Is there any way we could also get a peek at Jenni’s and Ava’s cool palette wardrobe choices? -Addie
SUCH a beautiful colourful collection Whitney. I'm just loving that blue! My Autumn/ fall plans are under way, picked my colours and have a few pieces from last year already. I'm bringing in red this season which is not usually a colour I wear alot but seeing as it's trending, why not? Yesterday at craft group I started cutting out a shirtdress in a lovely tercel print from Nerida Hansen - Coyote and Lion which is going to be a Jenna shirtdress and I have three solid colours and one striped fabric that will be Jenna shirts. I have some knit dresses to make up as they will be easy for me to wear after I have my hip surgery in March and I want to get going on the pants side of things also preferably before my surgery. I'll be make the majority of my wardrobe as the closet is still very sparse but it's good to build on it each season as eventually you can draw more and more from it. As for the pink and white striped fabric, I did see some jersey with this stripe in an online shop here in Australia. The stripes are narrow though so not sure if this will meet your needs. I think it was Wattlehill fabrics that has it. If this helps at all.
Thank you for the tip on the fabric. I'll continue my search. Best wishes for a smooth and uneventful surgery and recovery. Make sure you get rest and follow the doctor's recovery plan and you will be back at it in no time.
Thank you so much! I'm excited to play with this blue as well. I have a feeling it could also end up in my Summer capsule as well! Good luck with your hip surgery! I hope your recovery goes smoothly and quickly!
Such cheerful colours, I love them! I'm going to a fabric event tomorrow and I'm looking forward to that. I have a few basic fabric colours I want to grab, but will also be looking for fun fabrics within my Spring capsule colours; navy, white, pink and lavender. Let Spring begin!
Great video! I love how you brought in earlier me-made items🎉 I plan my March wardrobe here near St Paul MN with pink items that have a corresponding red in my September-October wardrobe in the fall. (I am a Moonlit Summer)
Loving all your spring colors this year! Glad you brought back some from previous years, like the I2S Foz and your floral Cashmerette Vernon. I want to pull out some lavenders (it is a bit hard to find though) for my spring wardrobe, it’s one of my favorites and several shades on my color card. I love all the fun colors in your accessories too. One of my favorite looks you showed was the dark jeans, floral top and bright shoes!
I am a sunlit spring, but a couple of the colors are not me and I talked to my “helper” at ColorGuru and she also believed I can use some of the colors in the copper spring too. I,also have been wearing the orange/reds, turquoises, yellows, lime greens, etc! I also suffer from depression, so the end of winter is HORRIBLE for me! I’m over it now, but you are so right- color makes me happy!!! What is funny is that many of the colors I already had items to wear. So I wasn’t surprised to find out for sure what were my colors. I have lost my cards, 🤯, but I had taken pictures of them so I still have a reference.
Every beautiful, Whitney, but almost by far the white denim skirt and green bias cut skirt. Love them on u. Im glad you are figuring out how to causally wear the green, so nice. Oh yeah 😅and the wanderlust dress.
I have a lot planned. Feb 26 '24, I finished a stable coat Simplicity 8468 view A (modified w/ poly lining) in navy denim -- McCall's M8148 pleated trouser (on the cutting table). I also plan to work up a vest View C. And also two addition pair of pleated trousers. Four tops are next: Simplicity S9681 Simplicity 1013 R5 Butterick B6070 Butterick B6099. One casual pant suit: Burda Style 5935--jacket and pull-on in coral ponte roma pants. I also plan a second pair of ponte in plaid print. And one tunic shirt dress: Simplicity S8983 R5 paired with my designed leggings. Plowing in until I reduce my stash.
I usually don't follow fashion trends or stick to a set wardrobe but I do bring out my spring wardrobe and add a few pieces to it along the way. The colors I'm looking to add this year are lavender / lilac, some sage / pistachio green and some salmon / coral. Those seem to be the colors in fashion. I did just get a cute pair of short white faux leather boots. I'm really looking forward to wearing them. And I picked up two pieces of knit fabric from Jo-Ann's and that I plan on making into an Easter dress. It is a sage green knit with a Mother goose pattern on it. And a coordinating pink cable knit that I want to make into a cardigan cover up. When I saw the fabric I instantly thought kindergarten teacher fashion. And I'm looking forward to it. I think the dress will be shaved similar to the last one you displayed. I'm also petite so it'll be mid-calf length which looks maxi on me. But I will do the sleeves short. Perhaps cap or butterfly. And the sweater I think I'm going to add flounces to the elbows. And probably a lace collar. I'm still working on the design. I do like all of your fashion choices. They are very colorful and flattering on you. That deep salmon / coral color was one of my mother's favorites. Her birthday was April so she loved spring fashion. I inherited that from her.
I love your plans videos! I have a surprise baby due in June so I’ve been a bit jaded about sewing for this temporary body. And I’m a selfish sewer so I don’t get as much joy for sewing for baby 😂 have fun on your trip!
You have a beautiful spring wardrobe planned! I love your enthusiasm. It inspires me so much. I don’t have any plans yet, so I better get busy. Thanks for sharing. Have fun at Puyallup
What a great wardrobe! For your Breton style tee, please look at the Sinclair Patterns Adele Boatneck top. The neckline is so flattering, and really ups the style of a plain tee shirt. I've made 4 of them so far.
Whitney, I absolutely love how the largo/legato jeans look on you. The fit looks perfection! I’m kinda of sorry that you’ll distress them, but you need to do what makes you happy. Regarding the Sew Expo, I wish I could go this year to meet you. I’ve been a follower since your channel first began. I live in California and have wanted to go for the past several years, but instead of enjoying the expo I’m getting a knee replacement on Monday. It would be wonderful to hear your take on it. Safe travels 🛫💕
Great choices of colours and garments. In South Africa we will be heading into Autumn soon so I really need to get myself geared up and start planning!
It would never occur to me to wear a graphic tee with a satin bias skirt! I’ve been really hemming and hawing over the satin bias skirt because I love the look, but I can’t make it work with my current wardrobe pieces (and also, I know that when I make bottoms without pockets I never wear them). I may reconsider. Very fun video.
My opinion on the jeans(as if you care), I would leave them alone. The dark wash makes them very dressy and appropriate for Almost any occasion. If you distress them, it limits how you would wear them. Off my soap box.
I’m a fall color palette or shaded colors based on my color theory plan. I am in the process of making a Beckett overall from seamworks in rust linen. Trying to sew my stash with patterns I own. Looking forward to #sewfrugal in March!
Awesome color palette and plans! i laughed when you said you were going to make the Clef Coat. You have to feed your jackets addiction! :) I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing some audio issues? First time ever--as your videos are ALWAYS so very clear and loud (not in a bad way!!). But today, it was cutting in and out, especially as you moved around from the rack to facing front, but also just being still. Just a note in case I'm not the only one! :)
I really REALLY hope that you will do a tutorial for the Reef from Greenstyle- Your creamy Toaster sweater looks fabulous on you! I have made two, one out of a jersey that I don’t actually like because the fabric doesn’t support the collar. Then I made one out of a structured knit that resembles widewale corduroy and I LOVE it!
Such a collection of beautiful colors. I will be pulling out Spring things pretty soon. It is still pretty cold in Western Colorado. I want to sew some Spring/Summer things in the coming months.
I received a digital file from Color Guru when I had my color analysis. Jenni sent that file to a local print shop and asked for it to be blown up to poster size

Welcome to the channel! I'm so glad you found me and are enjoying the content! The fabric for the Wanderlust is a digital print cotton/spandex jersey that I got from Let's Sew. I just checked and it appears they are sold out of that print, but they have other digital print knits!
I'm thinking you and I are twins who were separated at birth! Similar bodies, identical pattern choices! I'm a new subscriber (obsessively binge watching your videos) and I can't help but try to see close-ups of the ring on your left hand. I went to college in Northern Indiana and my school has a very unique ring that a lot of students get before graduating. Your ring looks like my college ring so I was just wondering... I hope this doesn't cross into nosy-ville. I'm definitely not trying to ask for personal details you aren't interested in sharing publicly! Thanks for all you do here!!! I'm super interested in learning my colors now!
Actually, the ring is from my grandparents. Thanks for asking. Go check out Color Guru and don't forget to use the code TOMKATCOLOR for 10% off. Having my color analysis done was so worth it!
You can't help smiling seeing all that colour! Gorgeous!
absolutely!!❤️❤️❤️

I just love your shoes and purses. Your mom brought back a purse from Italy? It is so big to add to luggage! Extra points to her!
That is such a good way to pare down to a capsule! Good luck on the sale!
Beautiful!
Thank you so much!
I love this! It's hard to find colorful minimal wardrobe examples, and then add in the bonus that you MADE most of it. So cool.
You are so welcome!
It's 66 degrees in Ohio today, so I'm in the mood to sew spring garments. Your colors make me smile! The Wanderlust dresses always look beautiful on you, and the length is perfect!

Just the clothes hanging on the rack is a pretty sight. Love the colors. I like your jeans left dark blue,
Thanks so much!

Sew something that brings joy to your closet! You deserve to be surrounded in color!
Im old. I like your dark jeans just as they are. They look dressier not distressed.
❤️❤️❤️
So many lovely pieces. My favorites on you are the dark denims and white skirt. I’m eyeballing those patterns bc they are sooo cute. Your Cashmerette Vernon will always be a star - chef’s kiss.
It is a workhorse!
Fab Fab Fabulous, so colorful, I feel happy even watching you model them 😊❤
Thank you so much!

hmm.. that is a great idea!
LOVE all the fun bright colors! Thanks for the inspiration Whitney! 🤗
You are so welcome!
Wow! This was fun! Colorful blouses layered with sweaters/jackets are so flattering.
Yes! And the weather can shift so much in a span of minutes. I never know when I will need to add or shed a layer.
I love all the Spring colors, you loke so beautifully and happy showing all your makes!!!😊😊❤
Thank you so much!

Yes! the Beauty of sewing is to have a closet full of things that transition season to season but also make some fun pops where you can!

Congratulations on the baby on the way and I'm sure you will find some good patterns for summer!
Loving all your outfit combos! ❤
DOPAMINE DRESSING!!! ❤️❤️❤️
The wool toaster sweater looks great with your bias skirt.
I think so too!
I found a bolt of orange-red fabric in my stash. It is synthetic. You have given me ideas. Thank you.
Wonderful!
You have a beautiful spring wardrobe planned! I love your enthusiasm. It inspires me so much. I don’t have any plans yet, so I better get busy. Thanks for sharing. Have fun at Puyallup
I'll report back from Sew Expo soon!
what a fun, colorful wardrobe! Not up to sewing for spring yet...still didn't finish sewing for winter 😆!
Look at it this way--you have a jump start on next winter!
@@TomKatStitchery good point!
I love your chair is in your colors.
Thank you! it's funny how things worked out that way--my house is turning into "my colors"!
What a great wardrobe!
For your Breton style tee, please look at the Sinclair Patterns Adele Boatneck top. The neckline is so flattering, and really ups the style of a plain tee shirt. I've made 4 of them so far.
Thanks for the tip! I'll go check out the pattern!
those colors are so cheery and look great on you!
Thank you so much 🙂
Love all the colors! Spring - also known as second winter or false spring in Colorado.
We are absolutely having fake spring here. The poor flowers are so confused!
Whitney, I absolutely love how the largo/legato jeans look on you. The fit looks perfection! I’m kinda of sorry that you’ll distress them, but you need to do what makes you happy.

I hope your recovery is smooth and uneventful--don't worry--I will be bringing back a full report from Sew Expo!
Great choices of colours and garments. In South Africa we will be heading into Autumn soon so I really need to get myself geared up and start planning!
Some of these jackets can do double duty spring or fall!
It would never occur to me to wear a graphic tee with a satin bias skirt! I’ve been really hemming and hawing over the satin bias skirt because I love the look, but I can’t make it work with my current wardrobe pieces (and also, I know that when I make bottoms without pockets I never wear them). The coco bias skirt was an easy sew and I'm really enjoying wearing it!
Happy happy happy colors! I'm working on the Metra Blazer in a white with black stripe Ponte.
Oh that is going to be so beautiful!
I always love your capsule wardrobe plans! Could you do a sew along for the Clef coat when you make it? That would be awesome! Thanks so much!
Maybe--stay tuned!
My opinion on the jeans(as if you care), I would leave them alone. The dark wash makes them very dressy and appropriate for Almost any occasion. If you distress them, it limits how you would wear them. Off my soap box.
Good call!
I’m a fall color palette or shaded colors based on my color theory plan. I am in the process of making a Beckett overall from seamworks in rust linen. Trying to sew my stash with patterns I own. Looking forward to #sewfrugal in March!
Love those overalls! They are on my list too!
Very cute capsule
Thank you!!
I am so bummed to Miss the Sew Expo! I live in Seattle and usually go every year, but I’m out of the country this year. Hope you enjoy it!
Next time!
Awesome color palette and plans! i laughed when you said you were going to make the Clef Coat. You have to feed your jackets addiction! :)
I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing some audio issues? First time ever--as your videos are ALWAYS so very clear and loud (not in a bad way!!). But today, it was cutting in and out, especially as you moved around from the rack to facing front, but also just being still. Just a note in case I'm not the only one! :)

The Toaster is such a timeless pattern!
Lovely wardrobe.
Thank you! 😊
I live the colors and styles. Thanks for sharing!😊
Thank you!!
Such a collection of beautiful colors. I will be pulling out Spring things pretty soon. It is still pretty cold in Western Colorado. I want to sew some Spring/Summer things in the coming months.
It really will change your mind set!
I've been seeing the poster sized color cards and am curious how this is done. Maybe a future tutorial? Great spring collection!
Where can I get a poster sized color chart. I had my colors done in the 1982 and would love a large winter chart.
Maybe you could sell them?
I call the “spring gold” color “school bus yellow”. Consider moving the pictures on the wall behind the chair up about 6 inches.
I received a digital file from Color Guru when I had my color analysis. Jenni sent that file to a local print shop and asked for it to be blown up to poster size
Thanks! I can't believe it is that simple.
So bright and cheerful! ❤
Thank you! 😊
A very happy, colourful array of garments which suit you so well of course. Are you still going to reference the Everyday Style Spring wardrobe? 😃
Everyday Style's spring plan comes out a little later this month and I wanted to get a jumpstart on Spring! I couldn't wait!
I love your color palette. How did you make such a large card for your colors? I’m a twilight autumn. I peek at my little card all the time. 😄
When I had my color analysis done by Color Guru, they sent me a digital copy of my color card. Jenni just took that file and had it printed poster size at our local business print shop (office max)
Love the colours in your capsule wardrobe❤❤ So helpful to see the options for wearing each piece!!! Where did you get your handbags?
OMG ... I just saw the ending and saw where you got your handbags ... makes me want to take a trip to Italy 😂
I think it's a great justification for a trip!
Just found your site! Love watching and learning from you! Could you please let me know where you got the fabric for your Wanderlust dress?
Welcome to the channel! I'm so glad you found me and are enjoying the content! The fabric for the Wanderlust is a digital print cotton/spandex jersey that I got from Let's Sew. I just checked and it appears they are sold out of that print, but they have other digital print knits!
Love your colours. I was a spring, but not sure if I still am since my hair is now gray. Do your “colours “ change if your hair changes?
That is a great question--I would ask the color experts at Color Guru that one!
😍😍😍
❤️❤️❤️
No...😢 Don't distress the beautiful Largo blue slacks.
❤️❤️❤️
Love all your colors!
Thank you so much!
Love your colors and style! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
