If you're going to game on a laptop, make sure whatever laptop you get has some kind of NIVDIA chip. Doesn't matter how crappy that chip is, it's better than intel HD and you can find one for essentially the same price. What you get is DSR which is usually used to render resolutions higher than native to reduce AA without AA or beyond AA. But! you can also render below your native with DSR. Just keep cutting it by intervals of 16/9 (or whatever your aspect ratio is to avoid stretching/scrunching). AMD may also have a DSR equivalent but don't know. I played the whole Mass Effect Trilogy on a MS SurfaceBook that had an "undisclosed" crappy mGPU by NVIDA,. Initially 720 at 30fps was impossible, but DSR at 75% saved the day. Played MGSV the same way on the road and had a more enjoyable (tolerable) experience since everything wasn't on the lowest settings.
Actually you are wrong. First I don't game on laptops, but not all Nvidia chips are better than Intel or even Nvidia gpus. In this case, any GPU from the mx 100 series our any GT/gtx line from 700 below can't run this game due to not support DX12 Fl12.0. The GT 920m in regular games takes a beating of an Intel HD 620. Ofc most nvidia integrated gpus are better. But honestly if someone is going to game on a laptop, they need the rtx or gtx 1000 series as a minimum for decent results. All the mx series and old GTs are just passable.

Failed to launch, just like my mx 130. I've been seeing people claiming that 2gb vram GPUs arent enough and the game just fails to launch. It makes sense the game minimum settings does use >3gb of vram. Cheers
Sorry for taking so long to answer. Unfortunaly for runnning Death Stranding we need a GPU that does support DX12 FL12, which surprisingly this intel does support. But the MX 110 only support DX12 FL11.0 so it will crash on startup, just like it happens with my MX 130. You won't be able to start the game. Cheers

It seems the issue is not the 2GB of VRAM but the DX12 Feature level of support. Many GPUs do support DX12, but the game requires at least FL 12.0, while most of the Nvidia cards and many other AMD cards do support DX12 but at FL11.0 or FL11.1
The FL is the festure level of the dx12. Nope the Intel UHD 620 is far superior, especially when in dual channel memory kits, I would say it's mostly at the same level of a gt 920mx, but depends on the games, some games don't even work properly due to the drivers, so there's that too
I think you are running it with the Intel instead of the nvidia because the game requires DX12 FL12.1 which is something that the gt 730 don't support, same for my MX 130, so the game just defaults immediately to the Intel GPU. Mif that's the case, the tip is to have your memory in dual channel, that will boost you performance a lot in the int GPU

As you probably know, the Intel GPUs don't have it's own memory so it uses the RAM as VRAM. This game even at it's lowest settings can easily use 3GB of VRAM of a dedicated card. So add something like 7GB of Ram used + 3 GB of VRAM and you have 10GB used :D Cheers
