So sorry to hear about Brad. I had a similar experience with a parrot we took in. He’s a black headed caique with deformed feet. He needed special care. The first week he was wonderful with both my husband and me. The second week he decided I needed to die. In caring for him he gave me a vicious bite on the side of my thumb. His top beak actually went through the side of the nail. We didn’t give up on him. He’s turned into a good boy. So hang in there and never give up. I’m very glad Brad is on the mend.❤️🩹

What you're supposed to do is every time he attacks you, pick him up and hold him. If he still fights, grab his legs and hold him upside down. This is to show the rooster that you are dominant. This won't work with Brad, it doesn't work with my silkie rooster either because furry chickens are manifestations of pure hate, but this would work with most any other chicken in the world and it's what you're supposed to do. I have only had chickens for about a yr and a half. It totally works! A big rooster was attacking me after I rescued my son from him. My son got mad enough to fight back and rang the roosters bell. I immediately picked him up and walked him around my property, patting him on the back. I have to remind him once a month that WE are top c*ck in this coop but it works.

She prescribed an appetite stimulant, starts with M. To be applied two weeks on inner ear fold. I think I will try CBD. Hope your precious kitty still rallies n recovers. Blessings

When he's too high to be measured it reads simply HI. I am so sorry your guy is struggling so much. Mine this week showed on paper as "how are you still alive" and he's STILL giving big Brad energy. We're doing intensive care this weekend and praying he turns the corner - he's done it before. May this carry over to your delicate feline.

Well I totally get it… My very first rescue rooster, May, came into the feed store with a serious wound hand fed him but he is absolutely the meanest rooster on the farm. He’ll still eat out of my hand but will never miss an opportunity to come at me with his spurs.
I had a rooster once, he always attacked me when I went into the backyard to garden. One day, he jumped a plastic bag full of leaves that I had raked up, and I realized he was asking me for a hen. So I brought him two hens, and he was so happy.

The silkes are such aggressive rosters...my friend had 1 named Fluffy who attacked me more times than I could count. Sadly he lost his girlfriends and the other roosters (not silkes) wouldn't share as he was so small compared to them. He sadly wandered to a neighbors farm and was attacked by a coon. We tried everything to save him but the damage was to severe sadly. As Fiesta as Fluffy was he was my buddy. Hope Brad continues healing nicely

I am totally getting this. I have a pet RIR ROO. (Rhode Island Red--the biggest, meanest, nastiest, devilish Roos around.) Ruby-Roo was dumped here when he began to crow (1 1/2 yrs ago). He was a cute, lap Roo then. I've nursed him thru flystrike, bear attack, coyote & racoon attacks (he sleeps INSIDE now). We have an uneasy truce, but he'll attack when he thinks I'm unaware. I'm permanently scarred. But, I love my big, handsome, baby boy! (Who keeps poultry for a pet?!)
