This has to be in my top three from Coke Studio. ❤️ I must have listened to this hundreds of times, but today again it was full on goose bumps. These 2 brothers are just brilliant - Javed Bashir and Akbar Ali have such different styles but both are masters of classical music in their own rights. There’s so much to appreciate in this whole production - the arrangement (by classic ghazal singer Nayyara Noor’s son Jaffar Zaidi); Aamir Zaki’s solo up there on that pedestal...almost like he’s looking down upon us lesser mortals from Heaven above; the sheer contrast between the drums and the saarangi and the fluidity with which the song evolves from classical to qawali to rock and back! Have to say you girls have such good choice in music! Even at this young age you have the ability to appreciate the nuances of all genres (from rap to classical) and are obviously well versed with technical know-how and have experienced it all! Loved, loved this reaction - thank you for showing so much love, respect, adoration, passion, sensitivity and knowledge...this masterpiece definitely deserved it all! 🙏🏻❤️

Watching and hearing Amir Zaki always breaks my heart all over again...
This was the last on screen performence of Amir Zaki..May his soul rest in peace..What a fine artist he was. One of pioneers of the Pakistan music industry.

Aamir Zaki's album came back in the good old days and his song "mera pyar" suddenly topped the charts. All the great singers began to applaud the maestro. Didn't know about him so, did not like him much. After listening to the song over n over, bang, this guy was far ahead of everyone else. Undoubtedly the world's best guitar player and futuristic music composer.

It's sad that most of the people don't know Jager Zaidi that much. And all his efforts.
This song is a big reason why I love Jaffer Zaidi. The way he combined Thumri with Qawalli and then Rock, and then how he switches the song back from Rack to Qawalii and Thumri speaks oodles of his talent.
I just wish he sings as often as he composes. His voice is so pure and raw.
Javed Bashir is one of the pioneers of Classic music.. And Akbar Ali my Gosh Soulful n pure Voice..

I have been waiting for you to react to this one. Something you might have noticed is that before Aamir Zaki is brought in the limelight, everyone looks upward where Aamir Zaki sat, all alone, at the top of the set. It's so ironic that he was naturally placed somewhere above and he passed away after a month. This was his last performance.. Somethings are only understood when they have passed..
Amir Zaki...What a great guitarist he was. He'll always be remembered in the Pakistani music industry.

Coke Studio has released several Most beautiful Sufi Songs in season 8,9,10 in the presence of Strings (A best Popular Band in Pakistan at that time) Such as "Tajdare Haram, wohi Khuda hai, Mun kunto Moula, Allah Akbar, Shikwa Jawabe Shikwa" and many as such. You people should react on these. My favourite one is 'Mun Kunto Moula' by Javed Bashir.
Akber ali is younger brother of Javed bashir and when he performs with him he takes his slippers off as respect to his brother and teacher.

this is one of my top 3 coke studio performances. The pairing of these 2 masters (and I dont use that word lightly ) is just divine. The 2 types of voices almost playing with each other. and the arrangement was trance inducing. And I could tell you guys went into that groove and trance
The difficulty now is that when you put this reaction out now I dont know what else to recommend for you guys to react to because I just cant think of anything to try and top this off .
I guess Ill have to step away for a moment and then try to suggest something else in some other genre

When this song came out , Amir Zaki one of the most talented guitarist of our times , had passed away so all the focus at that time was on him .Am so glad you chose this as the other maestros were not fully appreciated then in this song .Felt mesmerized by this performance .loved the reaction as always ❤️
If you only focus on the delivery of the lyrics you'll find a portrayal form of each word. For instant naina moray, Tarass gaye, kaale badal, baras gaye. It's like shaping the real dark colouds and then making rain out of them. Both singers have such a powerful capability to touch and penetrate into the real things or emotions by their vocals. 👏👏👏
While driving in the morning I was listening to Tash Sultana...one of the riff sounded pretty much to the one in this song. I was like..."broo kaafi arsa hua ye gaana sune hue"...while listining I was thinking "Have you guys reacted to this one yet?"! And here it is!

You must check out Aamir Zaki's solo in Zoheb Hassan's song CHEHRA from Coke Studio, you'll simply be blown away, & you can trust me on that. Fabulous reaction though...keep it up...cheers!!!

Loved your reaction... Sometimes the tallent go un-noticed and the world never realise the full potential of an individual.... maybe because of fewer opportunities and sometimes its just bad luck.... JAFFER ZAIDI is one of them.... You collect all of his arrangements in Coke Studio and they are class apart from the rest.... I chellenge you into this... Girls you need to listen to Ronay Na Dia Coke Studio, you'll be amazed by the vocals and poetry along with the music. It is too good and the best part about it is that this songs brings Sajjad Ali and his daughter!!

This is one of your very best videos Jyoti & Shruti. The perfect song carried by the very strong vocals of Javed Bashir & Akbar Ali. Late Aamir Zaki's solo guitar performance, was mind-blowing. Because of him, I started to love the Guitar when he sang his first song Mera Pyar Tumhi Ho all time my favorite song and played guitar in it. His guitar spoke the emotions of him. I left to listen to all kinds of music when he passed away in 2017 and came back to listen to music in 2020. RIP Late Aamir Zaki.

The Tabla beats at 5:15 suddenly reminded me of the song Kehna ki kya from Bombay. Btw Jyoti Akbar Ali is the brother of Javeed Bashir saab. My recommendation is to do a reaction on Redbull "Duur " by strings and Ahmed Jahanzeb. And also Redbull "Sar Kiye Yeh Pahad" by strings and Ali Azmat.
Akbar Ali participated in a show named "Junoon" in imagine tv back in 2009 directed by the famous Gajeindra Singh
