Ah, such beautiful song. I was watching the BTS for this song the other day and Gul Panra, she didn't know that Atif would be singing alongside her. And when told, she was like, "Oh,umm,ok" 🤣
Gogoosh’s original, Man Amadeam, is a timeless classic from the 70’s, and a treat to watch irrespective of how many times you have already watched it. Not for nothing is Gogoosh a superstar even today! Very surprisingly, I found it to be quite a celebrated piece of music even in KSA during my years there - a place where Persian is neither understood much, nor Iranian music known much. It is a song that truly transcends boundaries and borders, cultures and regions - not least because Gogoosh herself used to be a vision to behold and watching her perform is as delightful as watching any performance can be. It is imaginable that one could savor a Gogoosh song even with the video on mute. Yes, I am unabashedly gushing. Pardon me.
The CS version’s music, Gul Panra’s introduction, and the additional lyrics sung by Atif, all combine to make it a whole new song, and turn it into a CS classic in its own right.
Yet, perhaps you should react to the original too.
It’s actually a surprise to me that you hadn’t heard of this song before - one of the more famous CS numbers. But then you did the BTS too, awesome! Great reaction!
What other gems have we missed then?

And I know you haven’t done any of the Essa Khelvi songs from Coke Studio - Sab Maya Hai, Allah Karesi, and Gaddiye!

Coke Studio 3 had got Tina Sani to sing Nawa-e-Ney, where they had borrowed the intro from Gogoosh’s Man Amade’am.
On that related note, it might just be a good idea to react to Nawa e Ney. It’s likely one of those songs that might have escaped your attention since it doesn’t readily lend itself to popular radio.
(Also, just to blow my own trumpet, found a comment I had left on the video 10 years ago, where I had suggested to CS to do a Man Amadeam with Zeb and Hania... :)
Strings seem to have taken half that suggestion three seasons later. Or so I keep telling myself now. Yes, I contributed to making this gem happen.
I’m Persian dialect speakers and I heard gogoosh version that’s why I didn’t like much gul panra’s one because of her accent
@@mohadisaali7977 in pakistan no one knew gagoosh before, unless we saw this music video and agreed no one can touch the beauty of origina,l but we loved this version,however I respect you're opnion,remember pakistan have 0% Parsian speaker anyway nice to learn something new thanks to coke studio otherwise I will not learn about Gogosh ❤

OK. Have heard this song again and again since the first day it was released on CS. In fact...I keep having these Mun Amadayum ‘surges’ where after a lull of a few weeks I just have to again listen to it on loop. ❤️ You girls are Reaction Queens - so enjoyed hearing this again with you, the BTS, and all the genuine, heartwarming admiration and love for this CS classic by both of you. Of course where there are Strings, Atif Aslam, a sweetheart like Gul Panherra, and the highly professional CS house band and the chorus singers....it had to be a heart winning and mesmerizing number!! ❤️
