There was a play in the Portland OKC series where CJ was going up for a shot and clearly drew contact but instead of following through with the shot he passed the ball before coming down with it because at that point in the game it was clear that the refs were looking to let them play through the contact. He didn't just waste a shot and put the game in the refs hands. He made an adjustment. If you put the game in the refs hands then you can't be mad when the ref losses it for you. Harden was about 1.5 feet behind the 3pt line on his last shot and he wasn't jumping forward. But when he came down he adjusted his feet all the way inside the 3pt line trying to draw a foul. It doesn't work in the playoffs. You have to play for real especially late in the game.
Well they replayed at least 3 shots on tv and they all were fouls according the former ref and tv analyst. After the Rockets got the steal and got the ball at the end of the fourth all I thought about was that clutch three pointer that Harden hit in the regular season to beat the warriors. Instead of trying to make the shot he decided to throw the ball up and flop. I have been riding with Harden all season and still believe he is the MVP, but after seeing him and PG3 begged the refs to help them win, I don't see him the same way. This flopping is messing up what could be a good ass matchup. I thought the 2012 Miami Heat did a lot of flopping, but the Rockets took flopping to the next level. Considering how confident they were acting before the warriors finished off the Clippers, I thought they were going to come out on fire instead of looking to the refs for help. The same people that's been complaining about Harden getting the calls are now complaining that he's not getting them because they just want the Rockets to win. I was hoping to see a good series, but now I hope the warriors sweep the Rockets just so I don't have to see seven games of them flopping.
