What a lot of people don't realize is that this is the only playoff series where EVERY SINGLE GAME was within 5 POINTS or less! That's crazy. Each game was that close. IMO the best series I've ever seen. What a time!

@DreFellOff Idk where this narrative of "No KD" came from like they didn't have him all series save for 1 game. Not like the warriors weren't still championship level without him as they still made the finals without him, swept the Blazers. And CP was a shell of himself 2019 compared to 18. He was a liability in 19, he had no effect whatsoever in that series except maybe the last game

@@victorayala9541See again you’re really trying to make the Rockets look worse lol KD didn’t get injured until the end of the 3rd quarter in game 5, and the Warriors were leading throughout the game on their home floor. Plus they still had prime Steph, Klay, Draymond, so it’s not like they couldn’t win 1 game and 1 quarter without KD. Just comes down to Steph and Klay had their best basketball of the series in those last 5 quarters which made Durant’s absence not matter much. For what it’s worth, Harden and CP3 combined for 60 in game 6.
Edit: I mean look at those last three 3s Klay and Steph hit. All of them were heavily contested, first two were off the dribble. What are you supposed to do against that? Houston played a great game and kept scoring on the other end, and they consistently defended Steph well all series (look at his numbers). Warriors just got hot at the right time

If KD didn't got injured, it would've been a 3 peat. They just don't have an answer for Kawhi on that 2019 finals. Plus Klay got injured on Game 6. Warriors had a lead before Klay got injured. It would've been a Game 7 too. But the Raptors deserved that championship.

Even as a Dubs fan, I'm not sure. Our flaws were laid bare during the Houston series, and I knew after when Toronto came back to beat the Bucks, that they would beat us in the Finals. We did not match up very well with them even if we had KD because they had guys who could defend Steph, and Klay endlessly for a 7 game series.
@@michaelhession2105 Good point. But in my humble opinion, that series could've went diffirently. I mean the only thing that the Warriors struggle with is Kawhi. Old Iguodala can't guard Kawhi Leonard. Draymond Green is guarding Siakam. But the raptors are struggling to defend Steph. That's why if KD was there, there will be a hard fought Game 7 and the Warriors will win it. We may have our flaws but Steph single handedly beat the rockets on Game 5 and 6 that time. They had the experience. But Raptors deserved that title. That was a good title run.
Yea kawhi deserved it. As a warriors fan we hated lebron, especially when they started super teams with the heat but the spurs was the only team that stopped em besides dirk's mavericks

KD in this playoffs was averaging 35 a game before he got injured, an underrated what if, I honestly thought KD was on his way to cementing his legacy by winning 3 straight Chips and FMVPS while doing the third one on an historical level

This rockets team was the only team that matches the warriors. I remember watching this 2019 rockets and every game feels like game 7. I really believe that if they ever won that series they could've easily swept the blazers and if they were healthy against the raptors they could have won the chip that year and even in 2018 where they met the warriors in the WCF If they won that series they could have swept the Cavs that year . This rockets team could have won 2 chips . and build a dynasty of their own . I really believed that.

The Rockets like the previous year deserved to lose that series. When the Warriors are the more likable team in the eyes of the public, you know you're a team that everyone wants to see fail. Game 5 was pathetic for the Rockets. I'm still in shock that the Dubs won that game and the series. We were dead to rights after Game 4. Boogie Cousins out for the entire series, KD gets injured in Game 5, Iggy isn't 100%, Steph isn't 100%, Klay is inconsistent, Draymond fouls out in Game 5, and Kerr uncharacteristically is making boneheaded decisions, and the Rockets STILL end up losing in 6 games. This was karma for them blaming the officials for why they lost Game 7 in 2018 when in reality they missed 27 three-pointers in a row. This was the moment I knew that James Harden is one of the greatest chokers in NBA History. The fact that the Dubs were literally handing the Rockets opportunities to win the series, and STILL couldn't pull it off was baffling. Although this series did lay the Warriors' flaws bare, and Toronto took full advantage of it in the Finals.
why do you think they missed 28 threes? the refs gave retard calls that blew away all the rockets momentum. The warriors would have been the biggest joke in the nba and adam silver wasn't letting that happen.

I hate the Rockets broke up like they did. Yeah, they never got a chip but they were a PROBLEM every year. All they needed was for Harden not to shrink in crucial games and they’d have at least 1-2 chips. The West is just tough to come out of.

You scroll through the comments and you realize most of people commenting barely watch full games or the teams consistently and they make assessments from highlights and bias analysts...Rockets had nothing to do with the team tha took Warriors to 7 games with KD healthy the previous year...they had lost Moute and Ariza two really key players for them especially Ariza...Cp3 was basically injured 1/3 of the year he had his worst off season individual of his career that year...it was really hard ro watch...So for those who are saying Rockets should have won tha series cause KD got hurt or that Cp3 going down in the previous year was not a determined factor don't know what are talking about...Imagine playing the most stacked team of the last 20 years with a injury prone cp3 at 33 and a bunch of role players going to 7 games and the ownership next year never replace the key pieces that left cause they wanted to stay under luxury tax...and then get trashed by casual fans and the media for wanting to leave..
dont bother most people wont look at the nuance. Yes it was the year after but the teams defence in 2019 was far worse by pretty much every metric. think it fell to being league average or close to it. They didnt lose in 2019 by a lack of offense but because their defence couldnt get the important stops at the end of games like the 2018 team did
