- AFTER ONE YEAR OF OWNING THIS BOAT I STILL LOVE IT, BUT THERE ARE A FEW THINGS I WISH I HAD DONE DIFFERENT / JOIN ME AS I LOOK AT AND TALK ABOUT UPGRADES AND THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS GREAT BOAT.

A friend of mine has a Bass Tracker he bought about 8 years ago he's pretty happy with his too. We've taken that thing out in the ocean it works great. I have some of those vinyl tie off's on my little aluminum boat they've been there 12 years I haven't snapped one off yet

I bought this same boat in 2019 with a 60 horse,and just love it to death!! Also added a 40 thrust trolling motor up front, and I also would buy it again with no regrets

how fast does it go
I recently bought a 1754sc from bass pro in 2019 . It's a grizzly also it came with a 60hp on it and it was under 17,000 and it was a great deal . So far it's the best boat I've owned and I've owned a few . Good choice .

I have the old school Fisher 17. It’s about 4 ft away from my front door. My kitties love laying on the casting platform in the sun on the hot camouflage paint job. 😏🖖🏼🇺🇸❤️
I just pulled the trigger on a 2023 grizzly 1860cc with a 90 horse. unfortunately not a whole lot of videos with them. great video though ans glad I opted for the 90 instead of 60 after seeing this.

I have the same boat 2020 tracker grizzly 1754 with a 75 horse and a 6hp kicker and 2 battery's in the front compartment with a 50 pound thrust remote trolling motor on the front i put a 4 blade mercury spitfire prop on the 75hp it gives me a top speed with 2 people a dog and all my gear 40 mph tracker gave me a 21 pitch 3 blade black max it was good if you had nothing in the boat.

Nice setup! Did you do the kicker steering linkage kit install? I have a 1754sc with 75hp Merc, and might add a kicker for trolling at some point.

Great video. Thank you. I have never owned a boat (grew up with them tho) and I found it super informative. I am looking at possibly purchasing a Lowe 18ft with 60hp... I think Lowe is a little less expensive than Tracker? What are your thoughts on that?
Also, I plan to run it on the 50 mile flatwater section of the Colorado River near Moab, but it does get windy up there and I've heard that Jon Boats are sketchy in wind.. thoughts?

How did you wire the Helix 5? Did you run a dedicated circuit to the battery or splice In Under the dash?
i spliced In Under the dash to the hot it was the easy way

It was an add on when I bought the boat I got the camouflage paint job that windshield and upgraded to 50 hp I purchased it from Fred’s marina in Layton Utah give them a call maybe they can order you one
I'm about to order a the 1760 bare bones an order a 30hp mercury to get around an out onto the water to fish 🐟

What will make your head spin is that the 40, 50, and 60 are all the same engine but with different ECU’s.
I think you can make a 50 a 60 just change the ecu and restrictor plate for air intake. Might need a different prop

Why are all the boat manufacturers pinning such low hp ratings on boats. (Coast guard) I mean this boat can handle a 90hp motor and it's only rated for 50
No it’s rated for a 75hp I only could afford a 50 at the time

@@801Outdoors they might have changed the ratings or it could be a typo...Idk but that's a big boat 75 sounds much better. Three people in that boat with a 50 would be a struggle fest
@@801Outdoors If you just buy the bare boat, the rating is 50hp. If you by the sc or manufacturer built-up model then its 75, they strengthen the transom ect.
