Thank you so much for letting me know that I am not the only one pondering, pondering these things. I've been told that I'm too serious, and my response has always been, well somebody has to be serious. All of these disparities in thinking and action and between thinking and action vex me.
Everything You’re saying is true, Dr. Glaude. I’ve come to believe that after 400 years of the racial indoctrination we in this country, are never going to achieve true racial parity. We are not, in the words of the song, “going to overcome”. For 400 years we’ve taken a step forward, and then we take two steps back. You’re one of the few people who I’ve heard address the damage this system of white supremacy does to the soul and mind of the white man, woman, boy, girl. 2:51
James Baldwin said it when I was a young girl. And Martin Luther King, Jr. Have you ever heard of him? However, Baldwin later disavowed the notion that white supremacy hurts the souls of white America.
Thank you Dr Glaude for your insightful perspective on the minute human twitches that wreak havoc in paranoid people who have the advantage but fail because of fear to live out the second half of the Great Commandment that is “To love our neighbor as ourselves “.
We have to stop sweet-talking. We have never been able to be ourselves around white people because of white fear. Growing up in North Carolina I truly know it.
Sweet talking and being scared to take a stand almost got me deleted in this town where Majorie Taylor Greene is the Representative, I could have been Breaunna Taylor, Attaina Jefferson, Sandra Bland(I use to and still do wear Black Lives Matter Apparell)...I had shot guns pulled on me by the local police, then got false charges put on me and was looking at 51 years in prison, they put on the report that I was anti-white, wrote in the local newspaper that I said that I was going to delete white people, etc...and by GOD'S GRACE AND MERCY I'M STILL HERE TO GIVE A TESTIMONY ABOUT IT...heck they had my own family against me yo!!!!!!GOD HAS PURPOSE FOR ME😇😇😇😇😇
Genesis 15 ............ 13And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; 14And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
@taharqa332 Tired of what? An intelligent Black man distributing the truth in a suit? Maybe if he put on some droopy jeans and slides and made music that advertises the mxrder of Black people- you would be cool wit that?
He's one of those dudes who wants to believe that if black dudes like Eddie Glaude Jr. would just shut up and ignore racists and racism, hopefully, maybe it would just go away, orrrrrr maybe blacks could just learn to maybe accept it and live with it happily ever after. In other words @taharqa332 is more sick of standing up for himself than he is sick of the people's who want him to lie down so that they can walk all over him; some people's are just fine with the go along to get along mentality, they remind me of pigs on a farm, the farmer feds them, pets them and are playful with them sometimes, and the pigs are just as happy, wagging their tails, and happily greets the farmer every time he enters the barn, until the day comes when the farmer comes to slaughter one are more of them, the eyes of the pigs tells a telling story of how foolish they've been to think that they were there to live forever happily ever after, and was nothing more than a means of financial resource and food for the farmer.
Eddie is one of he best thinkers/realist of our time.
He really, really is!

Oratory brilliance…👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Yet with sustained “facts and truth “🤜🏽🤛🏽
Absolutely absolutely Correct. FEAR!
Oh yes thanks for telling the truth. Fear from politics and fear from the “Christian” church. BOTH.
Dr Glaude bring that real truth🔥🙌🏾✊🏾💪🏾👏🏾👊🏾💙❣️
I appreciate you for speaking in places that requires intense focus in tense environments.
Dr. Glaude, you are a sage.

This scripture speaks volumes and most people don't see it and many don't understand it. Great observation!!!
You know that was in reference to the Israelites bondage in Egypt right?
Stop sweet talking
Call it out in everything we as a people see in this country
Fear... the Fear of racism fading ..... then fearing I am out of a job...
It has tanked many a career of those of us who didn't "sweet talk." Only far too few black people really understand the phenomenon.
I'm so tired of these dudes.
what dudes are you referring to?
@taharqa332
