Never heard of slip knot binding! Thanks for showing this technique!
I’m so excited to try this binding technique!! Thanks for showing us!! I would love to see how you decorate these pages further!!
Thanks for watching and I am going to try to work in this journal. I have too many project started 😊 I would probably post pictures of this type on Instagram.
Wow what a cool technique! I've been making journals for years and have never seen this, thanks for sharing!
So glad you liked it and thanks for watching!😊💖
Thank you! I really like the slip knot binding which I've never seen or heard about before. I will definitely try it with my next little journal.😀
Thanks again! Hope you do give it a try💖
I was wondering how I could bind a journal by keeping both sides of my 12x12 paper without folding them.
Brilliant!
Thank you so much for sharing! 💙
You are so welcome and I’m glad you enjoyed it. I love this binding💖
Perforation is what it is called! 😂 you could even use hole reinforcement stickers from an office supply store to make the holes stronger. Or how about using eyelets and an eyelet setter to do each hole with an eyelet …. That would hold together and add some interest! I can’t wait to try this! Thanks for the inspiration. Your pink journal will be fun to play in and do art journalling on!
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the suggestions. I punched the holes too close to the edge of the paper so I could not really use the hole reinforcers. I have thought of using eyelets, but I don’t want to use that many because they’re kind of expensive😊💖
What a luscious pink journal with a cool slip stich binding. I have never heard of that binding for single pages.
Thanks so much! I’m glad you like it💖
This little journal is wonderful! I don't normally gravitate to pink but this is a great choice, especially with the yellow, black and white. I haven't bound anything this way before but I'm excited to try it now after watching your tutorial. Thanks for the inspiration.
So happy when I inspire others! I usually do more vintage pieces using brown, beige and so on but lately I have really been drawn to pink for some reason😊💖
Thank you for sharing the slip knot technique. I always thought it would be really involved and I see it's easy! Your a good teacher! Love how this turned out. 💕
I’m glad you liked it. I wasn’t sure I was explaining it very well. It is relatively easy and I think it looks great. Thanks💖

Thanks for sharing! I will try this later. I find this type of binding pretty.

Oh I love this technique,, great tut
Great binding 😍
i've been wondering how to bind single pages. this is so helpful!! thanks! (i like how the washi tape looks; it adds to the vibe :)
Thanks! I don’t mind the washi tape either😊
Love making little journals for my students with patter I’ve “recycled” and trying different binding methods. I’ve not seen this before. I can swap this for my Japanese stab binding when I’m binding single pages. Thanks!
So glad you like it!💖
Thank you for the tutorial! It reminds me of Coptic binding (imho much easier). 😄
I never thought about it, but you are right - it does look a little bit like Coptic stitching, and it is so much easier!💖
love your pages
😊💖
😊😊😊😊i like it.I will try it .
What an excellent tutorial. I can't wait to make my own. You should think about adding time stamps for impatient people like me.
Thanks so much! I understand the impatience because I am the same way while watching videos. I try to make my videos as short as possible while still making sense… I’m not that great at technology, but I will try to figure out how to do the timestamps.😊💖
Hi. New to your channel. Cara Renee sent me over. I will watch your play list.
❤️❤️❤️
I no understand english 😢; pero me gustaría verlo decorado, está HERMOSO ME GUSTO MUCHO
I like to use payne’s grey when black is too much! Love this binding
Great idea-I think payne’s grey looks good with pink💖
@@madebymartha oh absolutely!!
I’m a new subscriber and look forward to watching lots of your tutorials. Love this binding and can’t wait to try it. I wonder if you could put a strip of cardboard over the holes on the front and back before you start the binding to make it stronger and more stable? The pink looked wonderful. Thank you for the lesson.
Thanks for watching! I was in too much of a hurry while recording 😊 I should have punched the holes a little farther away from the edge and then I could’ve added hole reinforcers. A strip of cardboard or even card stock would also help. Using a heavier paper would also help which I have done in the past.
I like the mixed media journal pages and appreciate you sharing your process. The binding method is very interesting and I plan to try it asap. Question: Do you think folded, then punched pages would address the issue with the holes tearing?
Thanks for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed it. I was just in too much of a hurry while recording. I should have punched the holes further from the edge of the paper then I could’ve used hole reinforcers. In the past, I have also used a heavier paper to use this binding and that also works better.
Can you use this technique and not tie off the threads and keep adding pages?
I think you could, if you don’t tie the threads. It will just be a little bit loose but should be ok if you are going to keep adding pages💖
