I tried do it for 3 wipes in a row and it honestly does not do much for the pain of building it and repairing against raids. You maybe add 15 rockets of protection for a 100+ rocket base, that is a MASSIVE PAIN to build and UPKEEP.
Also, I have used the aggravator in a couple wipes now. I have been offlined 4 times and only ever lost one loot room. My fav of your builds yet. Much love

Another great design! I have used the old mini frustrator design for almost three blueprint wipes and I have never been fully raided and I play on an official , vanilla 450 pop server. I have been raided multiple times but never have the raiders got to the TC or the main loot room even on offline raids, I appreciate your work and I would love for you to make an updated video for a solo/duo/trio base similiar to the frustrator since many changes have been made since then, thanks!

Dude, seriously, thanks for that tip w/ lining them up on the foundations That's key (gives me ideas on other designs I'd like to mess w/) I also modified things a bit to utilize your 3-triangle entry that you introduced on the Mini-Frustrator So when you enter, you can also have the option of placing a small refinery indoors (to the right after u open the first garage door) Unfortunately I did see the door issue which def sucks but it's still an awesome design to use the floor stacking Feels like the dev's enjoy ruining good things (and sticking it to any advantage a solo might have) Anyway, hope everything's going well w/ the family.

That was the doors would still be replaceable. (maybe floor stacking on 1-2 squares where a TC or loot room is).
@@-ColorMehJewish- yes, absolutely, it is still possible to make floor-stacked bases. In, you can still have the core lowered, and you will be able to replace the doors from the side, like I showed in the Phoenix V3 video
That's a great idea w/ the new starting method (I really appreciate that, gonna try it soon). I was on a build server today b/c I seen a server that had your name on it (was a whitelist-only server for building) Anyway, it made me mess w/ alterations to the Leech today and I made a version where it's a 2x2 instead of a 1x2. I did not calculate the rockets to TC, but w/ the new triangle roof pieces you can actually honeycomb outside the flat/longer walls on the outside (triangle foundations to support these roof pieces) and then you can actually crawl inside the newly formed honeycomb part before sealing it... and place walls inside. I figured it should drive up the raid cost from the side (usually they come in right where i put the large battery). I thought I would mention since it's utilizing the new triangle roof pieces and it really opens up the room compared to the original design. Having 2 main loot rooms (and vending machines), more room for turrets downstairs and plus some garage doors. Then I was able to place a tea station and everything needed upstairs. What I also did was enclose a small area behind each airlock (where it'd normally be solid wall) and place a garage door there (so it was still an airlock), b/c then i could put a quick-change locker/research table and minor stuff there. Adding a lil more protection. I miss the stability seal but adding these modifications seemed like it would drive up the raid cost w/o making the footprint massive). Now if we can only figure out a way to floor stack that or my #1 favorite... the Mini Frustrator. Thx for still putting the time in to hook us up w/ cool designs. i know the kiddo can be a handful to say the least. Hope everything is going well w/ the family life tho.

I also build a large furnace and oil refinery off the front door wrapping to the right using triangle floor grills since this base is perfect for it. Base becomes twice as long but the extra upkeep is minimal.
Another great wideo. You learn us something new every time! Could we ask for a bigger multi TC design tho? Solo-trio bases are awesome but us groups would use some german engineering to defend from these pesky zergs
With a newborn at home, I don’t think I have the time. Larger bases take a lot more time to design and record. The trident, however, certainly warrants an update
you really do make the best base designs out there and could you maybe make a little larger base design next more into the 6 to 8 man bases because my group needs one

@@EvilWurst low wall, place walls on top, demolish bottom to create a slit in the finished wall, you can reach through to the three furnaces. It also let's you defend from inside the base of they try to blow through the walls
Evil Wurst Me and my friends use you build design with this and it is amazing now we have problems of too much loot xD and has survived 4 days from wipe which is awesome and people in clans wont raid us cause it is small or something but we are stacked with loot which is amazing they dont know and I freaking love it cant wait to see where the raiders raid us from really want them to raid us in the roof xD
I love this bass so well done as usual but floor stacking is really hard to do if you have uneven ground and are inexperienced and it’s not really a big practical way to put down a starter on hectic wipe day

I keep having issues trying to recreate this even after it passes the stacking test. I keep being unable to do the honeycomb.. it says too close to another building
You could swap out the garage door at the entrance with a normal double single door airlock and rotate the hatch to create a 2nd airlock. I think that would be my way to go. Even if a raider goes deep, as soon as you open the ladder hatch he is locked in that triangle and you can control him from above.
@@EvilWurst Sure an armored door would be better. With controlling from above I mean: You can place a shot gun trap above the ladder hatch for example.

Question, So I am doing a PVE server and learning how to build still. Not good enough for PVP. The reason why is because once a month, Everyone goes and raid the bases and PVP starts. It's called Purge. I can't seem to find any videos of bases that are 10x10 or bigger. I know most of what you do is PVP style. Is there any way you can do a video for people who do some PVE to test out massive builds? I did 1 that was a 12x12 and 10 high. But I couldn't get the outer areas right so I kept messing up. Thanks
Making base videos of this quality takes a LOT of time. If I am investing my very spare time as father of a newborn, I want the video to be relevant to a wide audience.
I always liked those builds and even if you and all the other great builders brought it to a level where floorstacking became easy i still rather stick to a multi tc 2x2 or 3x3. For me this makes playing the game more fun. Also i recognized that even the greatest builders often use more convenient bases when they play with their teams. I love creative people though!
Yes, that’s true and this is why I have actually been focusing on reasonably simple bases. When I build privately for fun, I tend to build even more complex stuff
hey, i rebuild this base yesterday on builders sanctury and all was fine but today all my first layer of hatches are gone and i cant place them again. i build some new bases with a stacked floor and i cant place it their either... it seems that it doesnt work anymore but why the two after patchday?
@@EvilWurst thats really sad. that means that it was intential change and not just a bug or something?! funny is that the normal ladder hatch works fine its just the triangle ladder hatch which isnt working anymore. funny too is that they changed it two days after the patchday. i hope they will change it again but with your information it doesnt look like it. i wonder if they change the normal hatch too
Does floorstaking reduce splash area or would pancakes make more sense to counter splash damage? In Ark i have seen wall and ceiling stacks of upto 10x, is there a reasonable limit here in rust or is taht already reached with 2?
Not 100% but in ark you are able to have floor and wall stack foundations next to each other in rust as you can see in this bases footprint the foundations can’t be placed next to each other

Don't forget to place all the doors before placing the top floor stack. You cannot place or replace door once the top floor stack have been place.
You can but it is tricky, go down below or from the side. Its tricky but evil explains it on his first floor stack base

Out of curiosity, what kind of upkeep in terms of metal fragments and HQM per day would you hypothetical 6-8 man group be willing to sustain?
i would like a base with around 50 to 75 k metal and stone to build and maybe like 600 hqm and the upkeep isnt really important
You can also put a tier 3 workbench in front of the tc door, which make it so you have to destroy the workbench to get contents of tc
I am not a big fan of that. I prefer to have the Tier 3 out of sight so that it does not get destroyed during a raid

@@EvilWurst low wall, place walls on top, demolish bottom to create a slit in the finished wall, you can reach through to the three furnaces. It also let's you defend from inside the base of they try to blow through the walls

Evil Wurst Me and my friends use you build design with this and it is amazing now we have problems of too much loot xD and has survived 4 days from wipe which is awesome and people in clans wont raid us cause it is small or something but we are stacked with loot which is amazing they dont know and I freaking love it cant wait to see where the raiders raid us from really want them to raid us in the roof xD

I love this bass so well done as usual but floor stacking is really hard to do if you have uneven ground and are inexperienced and it’s not really a big practical way to put down a starter on hectic wipe day
For a base like the Aggravator, I would always build a starter base first

Evil Wurst okay, in my opinion this is a perfect base for solo/duo/trio anything bigger is overkill and you’d want large groups for.
I keep having issues trying to recreate this even after it passes the stacking test. I keep being unable to do the honeycomb.. it says too close to another building
You could swap out the garage door at the entrance with a normal double single door airlock and rotate the hatch to create a 2nd airlock. I think that would be my way to go. Even if a raider goes deep, as soon as you open the ladder hatch he is locked in that triangle and you can control him from above.
Yes, that makes sense. I'd just use an armored door, otherwise the door-raid path becomes a weak point of the base

Question, So I am doing a PVE server and learning how to build still. Not good enough for PVP. The reason why is because once a month, Everyone goes and raid the bases and PVP starts. It's called Purge. I can't seem to find any videos of bases that are 10x10 or bigger. I know most of what you do is PVP style. Is there any way you can do a video for people who do some PVE to test out massive builds? I did 1 that was a 12x12 and 10 high. But I couldn't get the outer areas right so I kept messing up. Thanks

I always liked those builds and even if you and all the other great builders brought it to a level where floorstacking became easy i still rather stick to a multi tc 2x2 or 3x3. For me this makes playing the game more fun. Also i recognized that even the greatest builders often use more convenient bases when they play with their teams. I love creative people though!
Yes, that’s true and this is why I have actually been focusing on reasonably simple bases. When I build privately for fun, I tend to build even more complex stuff
No gap, ceilings all sit perfect but the floors were too close to create the inner honeycomb around the TC once the surrounding bit was placed.
Hmm, that's frustrating. Floor-stacking is really an expert method and needs to be practiced a lot before using it in game.
I play solo and use this every wipe now. I'm having a good wipe when I can afford a shooting floor. Wurst builds are Rust meta

Quick question though, Wouldn't the Stability dramatically decrease without that much support for the extra layer of roofing?
Since the footprint is rather compact, stability should not be too much of a problem

hey, i rebuild this base yesterday on builders sanctury and all was fine but today all my first layer of hatches are gone and i cant place them again. i build some new bases with a stacked floor and i cant place it their either... it seems that it doesnt work anymore but why the two after patchday?

funny is that the normal ladder hatch works fine its just the triangle ladder hatch which isnt working anymore. funny too is that they changed it two days after the patchday. i hope they will change it again but with your information it doesnt look like it. i wonder if they change the normal hatch too

In Ark i have seen wall and ceiling stacks of upto 10x, is there a reasonable limit here in rust or is taht already reached with 2?
Not 100% but in ark you are able to have floor and wall stack foundations next to each other in rust as you can see in this bases footprint the foundations can’t be placed next to each other
