Really cool how at one moment you see it disappear and STRETCH out of another NPC guy in the crowd when it gets close.

Not gonna lie watching this vid gave me nothing but anxiety! With that crazy ability to pop out of random NPCs it’ll be even more dangerous, cause you might make distance but it won’t mean jack!
That chase music is really disorienting, like the audio version of feeling dizzy. I like how this game draws upon the eeriness of feeling alone and isolated in a crowd too.
Asthmatic horror games really take my breath away. :)

What would be really terrifying is if she randomly disappears into the crowd as another NPC when you turn around. Not chasing you for a moment, giving you enough time to lose sight of her and not knowing where she’ll pop up next

What an idea :O If the streets were empty you'd feel helpless, but it'd be easy to spot her. By adding crowds in the game the player's movement gets hindered, and your eyes have to dart around a bit more before spotting her. The people can't even see her so you stay helpless too. Very stress inducing, great game.
What make this game felt good (I dont play it, i just watching) is the fact that it give you proper tension and pressure but not stupid difficulty.
I want a 4 hour game of this. Sweet christ this is amazing.
I always loved the concept of It Follows (though the budget limited what they could do with it). The idea of being alone but surrounded by millions, with nobody wanting to help you. Imagine being a tramp, shouting about an evil woman: the whole world would think you're crazy.
Vibes of It Follows, Hellnight/Dark Messiah, and Haunting Grounds.

Somehow because the reason it chase you with consistent speed make it more terrifying...
And with the crowds "blocking" your way and not noticing the 'ghost' is quite terrifying

I saw a version of this game before but the 'monster' was a tall dude in a suit, not a woman. I wonder what made them change it, I liked the old design better.
i think cause it was a free model, i recognize it from a bunch of other crappy horror games. i honestly don't mind the new design, and the fact it can morph is cool.
I have a hunch it has something to do with whatever is in the case. It looks like it has C-section blood on it, and the case looks like it's covered in fleshy growths. It could be something to do with a demon fetus or something and the entity is symbolic of a ghostly mother having lost a child, something akin to that.
@@Ch4oTiK Honestly the 'women lost a child' trope is pretty played out in horror content as it is. I think it'd be more interesting to see a *good* use of that asset store model (there's nothing wrong with asset store models as long as the game is good, which this is), and the implications for why that monster is interested in the case, especially if it does contain what you believe it does. Horror needs to explain less as it is, and if that's what's in the case, then we have a pretty good motivation for the current monster. I find it scarier not knowing why it would want *that* in the form of the old monster.
@@Caffeinated-DaVinci It would be cool to have that trope end up being a twist. The creature uses guises, maybe its woman form is just another guise in some attempt to illicit sympathy enough to hand it over, so it could turn into something else entirely, either to consume it or maybe its something entirely different in the case.
@@Ch4oTiK I like that idea A LOT, and suggested something similar in the Steam Discussion forums for the game. Both the old and new monster are confirmed to shapeshift. The old one changing his looks but not his height and the new one changing both the looks and becoming 'normal' height. I suggested having the monster's 'true form' be in question throughout the game, changing randomly between the old and new at the start of levels, and keeping the shapeshifting + height shifting for both versions.

Apparently it's because the the first model wasn't original. It was a stock model.

The setting is deeply confused, but I really like the in-story reasons given for the protagonist being ignored and having trouble running. Don't get why Lisa is there, though.
