I've watched just about EVERY video about brand and I'm finally going g to try it. I love foundation sticks because I mostly spot conceal and they're great for that and now I can't wait to try the complexion drops. I'm a skincare junkie lol. This has been leaps and bounds more helpful than any other video when it comes to understanding the colors. You really know your stuff. So many people don't know what they're talking about when a color doesn't work for them. Thank you so much for this video. So helpful ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗
🌸🌷🌸 Penny, you look radiant and super fresh with this makeup. It accentuates your beauty, rather than making you look “made up”. This is everything I’m looking for in not only foundation, but in the esthetic of an entire brand. Thank you for sharing and always being so honest about what really works and why. 🌸🌷🌸
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH. I really appreciate how u pause during the swatches too and the swatches really helped me because I'm re-thinking my foundation shade choice!!!! I need that superloaded hilite in my life.
Love the foundation. I have quite the collection of Trinny London cream blushes and highlighters, which I love, but I was not confident buying their foundation online since they did not have a return policy like Westman Atelier. I am so happy I bought the WA foundation. I never wear foundation, only tinted sunscreen, as I am pretty good skin thanks to ZO by Obagi. But sometimes I longed for a foundation that would cover that lack of sleep look under the eyes or when I have redness from retinol. I find that want to put the WA foundation lightly all over my face and neck simply because it feels and looks so good. It does not hide my skin, it does not block my pores, it is just comforting, natural and gorgeous. Even better if you buff it in along with other cream products with the Rae Morris Radiance brush. Those two products together are a DREAM come true. WA surely did set a new standard in the foundation arena. In my opinion, there is nothing better.
Penny you are tempting me again, why do you do this to me??? Lol, the petal blush and the highlighter you applied with the sponge look beautiful. The entire line looks super pretty on you, hugs,Clara 💓 💓
The highlighter looks so beautiful Penn. Very natural and fresh. I never understand why some people, TH-camrs inc, seem to bring their blush very close to the nose. It looks odd! Love your placement. I'm going to see Abby's vid shortly. XXX 💜❤💜 XXX
I'm die hard for these foundations! I have several shades and use them all depending on what shade my skin is during different seasons - they're absolutely spectacular. Shade IV with the peach undertone makes a great color corrector for under eye dark circles!
Have never heard of this line! Might have to try it!! If I’m a Mac nc25 which should I go with for foundation and contour stick? Also blush? Thanks Penn! ❤️
New subbie 👋🏻. I’m here from Abby’s channel for the foundation swatches. An online ‘foundation matcher’ gave me #3 and #8 (?!) given the shades of a couple of tinted moisturisers I own, so I was so confused. I was looking for blush reviews too as I want a long lasting, cream blush and petal looks about right. I don’t contour; it’d be like trying to turn an English bulldog into a greyhound! 😆 so that’s why I’m here 10 months on. Thank you for sharing.
Update haha!!! Just got off the phone with i believe Carolyn at Barneys in Boston. She was so amazing. I bought the Peau de peche and she is sending me samples of the foundation as well as the blush!!!! Thanks again!!!
I really enjoyed this video... Those blushes are calling.. no no they are screaming my name.. I want the Dou Dou lolol (hehe) and the poppette!! Thank you for this wonderful video.. heading to Abby's now
Very nice foundation, I love how it looks so glowing and natural, and those blushes my goodness they are pretty!!! Have a good week, love and blessings xoxo 😘🙂
Hey Penny! I love watching your videos, very informative!! I’m so excited about the Westman Atelier makeup. I did the virtual foundation match on the Western website and it comes out that I’m a VIII (8). When I sent my picture to Western customer service however, they said I am a IV (4) and (2). On the Westman site, it says the 8 is a neutral beige, rose undertone (I believe you decided number 7 accidentally which is described as tawny warm, neutral undertone). Your swatches of 4 & 8 are definitely cooler than the others you swatched (I have definitely have cool undertones). In your opinion, are the 4 & 8 similar or in the same family? I’m also struggling to pick a blush. I was sent a sample of the Minette and Petal and while they are lovely, they wash me out. I’m afraid the chouchette would be too light also. I was thinking the poppet or dou dou. Which do you prefer? see you did put my current foundation color in
PENN.SMITH.SKINCARE LLC Thank you so much for responding! I currently wear Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation in 3CR (cool rosy) and the 2CR in the Dior Forever concealer. I think you’re right, the 8 looks pretty dark. But when I was looking at them on your arm, the 4 & 8 were not that different as far how dark they are ... they just seemed to be a bit different in tone. Also, I haven’t seen many reviews on the Dou Dou blush. Most reviews are on the Petal which washes me out a bit. I grabbed the Super loaded tinted highlighter in peau de pêche and just as you said, it’s stunning. I’m thinking about trying the peau de rosé as well. Again, thank you so much for your feedback! It’s very much appreciated.
So Penn do you mean that there’s not one shade of the foundation in particular that you yourself could wear on it’s own or do you have to wear the 3 and 5 to get the correct shade ? How does it compare to the Tom Ford stick foundation in longevity and skin like properties? Which would you prefer if you could only afford one or the other?😀
Jude Gould three is actually my perfect shade :) I have just been itching to have more color so I added 5 to look more tan :) I would definitely choose this over TF, but I do really like the TF stick as well. I find TF to be a bit heavier feeling. Hope this helps :))
Hi, I am a new subscriber and have just started to watch your videos. This foundation sounds like it would be great for my dry skin. Do you know which shade would look best if I wear Natural Light in the Osmosis satin foundation? Thanks! Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Debbie Lale ok! Natural light is my perfect shade in Osmosis. I wish I still had it to compare to my Westman Atelier! It would be either shade 2 or 3. Probably 2. I hope this helps! 💜
Well, I actually agree with you. Sometimes I’ll set with a very lightweight powder (although that sort of alters does the cream makeup look). A primer could help snd also a setting spray. Setting spray would be special occasion though as they’re often drying. ♥️
Thank you for this!! Great help with the swatches!!! New subscriber here 🙋🏼♀️☺️ I have been debating which colour foundation to buy. Luckily this is now available at Net-a-Porter and since I am in Sweden 🇸🇪 it’s the only place for me to buy it unless I want to pay 30% extra in custom fees getting it from the US.
Wow! That is such great info! Thank you for sharing about Net-a-Porter! I’m always struggling with where to tell people they can find things (when they don’t live in the states). I appreciate this info! 💜💜💜
PENN.SMITH.SKINCARE you are most welcome! I imagine it must be a struggle to get easy info on where to buy brands for your non-US subscribers. Cultbeauty and space nk have a great selection of brands, both UK 🇬🇧 based. And of course Net-a-Porter as well but they don’t have all the must have stuff, lol. Have you tried vinteners daughter’s ( spelling?) face oil? I love it.
I love the thought of this brand, but the only thing holding me back on this brand is, it’s to heavy and will settle in my wrinkles, plus it looks like it will move around and not set up. I’m trying to find more reviews where the subject model has my skin tone.
I haven’t used oxygenetix but I have used osmosis. It is great but (for me) is a bit drying. It does wear longer than this, but is less comforting in my opinion. They are really two different types of foundation :)

Yesssss poppet! And the highlighter IS gorgeous! The foundation sounds amazing too! Beautiful line!! Loved it love chop!! And love you!!😘😘😘

Thanks for the tip about using a beauty blender for the peau de peche highlighter. A brush wasn’t giving me what I wanted for this product.

It looks gorgeous on you Penny. I am obsessed with this foundation. Hands down the best stick foundation I’ve used, possibly the best foundation. 🥰
Cathy McCarthy I totally agree, it’s the best stick foundation I’ve found as well!

Would you say Dou Dou is cooler toned than Petal? I am having trouble deciding between the pinks!
I love Mimi and Petal together

What are some other foundations you wear and their colors? 8 is pretty dark.
4 and 8 do have similar tones though-rosy beige in my opinion.

Brilliant with the swatches x I would have gone for 4 but 5 is much better thankyou x

What kind of where would you expect to get with that foundation? Can you do four hours? It is lovely.
I think 4 hours is completely doable. It’s not long wearing though-just FYI ❤️
