    Use flaps if high. Cut the mixture if high. Then cut the flaps on the flare. Dont keep going to end with engine and prop turning.

    A turn at 550ft., in any light aircraft can be done quite safely. I have had to do one in a Cessna180. There are two parts to it. (All balance) Climbing and gliding turn. At the end of the day for a C180 back to the landing strip a wing over is the answer. You need to get professional tuition to learn to do this safely. There are two pilots in the air. Those that have had an engine failure and those that are about to. In the climb out one must prepare for an engine out situation. Very poor pilot sense if you don't. One needs to get to 3 thousand feet to learn the wing over maneuver sequence. I learn wing overs in a DH82 Tiger Moth. Good aircraft to learn !! but can bit you and kill you. The Tiger is a brilliant aero plane for spinning BUT make sure you lock the upper wing slats. The wing over is a climbing and diving maneuver with the ball in the center. I found the Cessna 180 one of the best aircraft ever built, ideal for all sort of brick wall problems and soling your trousers !!!

      That is wrong. I took EFATO training in 1995 from the best. its a Vglide 45 bank. See this. This was my CFI teaching 4 kinds of EFATO and Emergency Low Maneuvers. First ever to do that. 1995. 4 Real landings on 4k feet long runway with 16knots winds. No BS like others still do. I took that training in 1995. We dont BS. We are Puerto Ricans.
