    Nice work 👍 Over on Robert Murray-Smith's channel he constructed one that uses conductive ink and a polyurethane coating, and extracts the charge collected by water falling through the atmosphere (rain essentially). It can be scaled up by linking multiple panels and left in the elements.
    Check it out ✌️

      Yes I know I make the first version which uses conductive ink which was based on Rob's previous version. Then Rob make his vesrsion which uses conductive ink. But I coated the ink with PVB

    merci pour le travail que tu partages, c'est genial

    I also thought about something similar. What if you make the long strip really long, and roll it into a roll so it looks like a capacitor? This would make the generator more compact.

    Make a tree with these leaves. Connect diodes and capacitors and make a real generator (Thousands of leaves).

    • @kreynolds1123
      @kreynolds1123 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Speaking of tree. Grow a tree in a large pot With longer carbon rod electrodes in the soil. Keep the pot insulated from ground excepting the wire to the electrodes. As the tree grows tall, you'll be able to measure a current from ground through the wire to the electrodes in the pot.
      Your tree's branches are a physical representation of the path electrons took to the sky, atmospheric electricity. Don't expect a "useful" amount of current but it's measurable none the less.

And anyway the current should be insignificant... Nice for a digital drum pads switch... Even if not too stable tension... But keep looking...

    • @cayrex

      Triboelectric nanogenerator is able to transform almost all forms of mechanical stress to electrical energy which make good energy harvester. It make good voltage but really small current,.... for this reason are good for sensors, self powered sensors, etc. You also have triboelectric generators which can operate in almost all environments. I also see some research of triboelectric generators which also produce quite good current. So, in the end,.... let's see what will be the future in that area.

  • @mad0scientist

    I don't think this technology is going to replace the electromagnetic generator in the near future.

    • @cayrex
      @cayrex  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Triboelectric nanogenerator is not meant to replace anything. It is a energy harvesting device which is mostly meant to be used for self-powered sensors, etc
