I think another key contributor to the decision is the fact that BG are under financial pressure. Therefore it makes sense to go for individual medals to get more funding
Lol @ “massive history of flopping”- great wording!
If there are two reservists, does only one travel to the competition? Wouldn’t CT be in Paris as a reservist?
It's a good news for both USA and GB. GB can secure a floor medal on top of the pommel horse, vault medal. USA has a higher chance to fight for a team medal.
We don't who is on the US team yet so we shall see...
@@liukin95 The US will go for the highest scoring team. GB team's priority is individual medals (particularly floor gold) while not sacrificing too much on team score.
@@cocoroni1031 In my view, they're trying to maximise individual medal prospects due to the face that they don't expect the women's team to pick up any medals now.
I think this team has a good shot for bronze and multiple individual medals. I see no controversy or shock.
For the Brits I do think they should have thought through Max Whitlock and his capacity to perform Olympic medal worthy routines and remain healthy through the whole process...he hasn't medaled since 2019...he is irrelevant...belonging in a museum.
what?? He is double olympic champion on pommel horse? He won in tokyo. What are you talking about.
You have no clue what you're talking about there...
This is wildly incorrect and unkind. Please refrain from posting such insensitive comments on our page.
Max Whitlock most certainly has won since 2019, including the Tokyo Olympics. He also posted the highest score at the 2023 World Championships (15.266) twice. He fell in the event final. Big deal. It happens.
