Next Sunday (May 21) at 20:30 will play Sporting x Benfica. Usualyy is an incredible derby from the biggest Lis bon teams. If you go to Alvalade Stadium, you will enjoy a great soccer game.
Guys you are everywhere in here... so much energy!! Carnaval in Portugal is very happy time of the year and we allways make super giant doll parade and it's all about making fun of politicians and the crises the country is experiencing (the dolls are important people we are making fun of for many reasons, usually criminal activities and bad decisions) and of course getting crazy guys in skirts and very skimpy brazilian ladies dancing samba to the joy of everyone's heart...
C&M,I have watched most of your videos and Chris , you are getting thinner and Melissa, you are getting younger! What’s up with that? Keep up the fantastic work. If you are back in Ireland anytime soon I would like to buy you guys a pint.
Maybe it's because I'm not eating as many Irish crisps nor drinking as many Beamish brews! :D Melissa's maiden name is Button. :D Thank you for the kind words.
If you want to experience a Portuguese carnaval you have to go north, to Trás-os-Montes. In every Portuguese city, that have some carnival history, Brazilians took over. What you experienced was a 🇧🇷 show. Is cute, but is not autentique.
@@veracorreia4579 agree. The north still has places that even celebrate the celtic roots (like caretos de Podence) and then there's other places with the big heads and the social criticism and the place with the "matrafonas", etc. They're all different, all in the north and all authentic. By now even carnaval de Ovar has been importing Brazilian carnaval which makes no sense. They have an amazing carnaval but it's far too cold in Portugal to have people half naked dancing while in Brazil it's literally summer... It's also mimicking another culture which feels really off. I really don't appreciate the way they have been changing things related to this in Portugal.
@@carpediem4091 I agree with you, never went to the carnival in the north but the one with the matrafonas in Torres Vedras is nice but its almost only Brazilian music
No disrespect to Loulé, but next time either go to Torres Vedras or to Podence if you want a true portuguese Carnaval. And in one of your trips through Portugal you should definitely check Mafra... i can even be your guide lol
WOW. I'm brazilian and all the songs are brazilian songs also the parade.
Thx for sharing❤
Great fun ❤
Nice to see my apartament at the end of the video 😂😂😂💪👍

Very different than North American festivals…really lively and well done!
The music is still going through our heads 2 days later! :D Lots of fun!
