I agree enjoy beautiful china, cloth napkins ,Crystal for every meal. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner ❤ my friend is divorced, I encouraged her to use her beautiful china and told her what you are saving for ❤She now uses it every day 😊Makes her happy 😊😊
I am so glad you like those things, too. Sometimes, before I make a video I think to myself, will everyone think I’m weird or do other people like formal things, too? So, thank you for writing to me! 😀I actually need some white cloth napkins and other colors, I will get some next year. I do have some for my Christmas tables I am designing right now! 💃So happy to meet you here, Sherry! ❤️Oh, btw, I am divorced, too and I still use mine, just for me. Tell your friend she deserves to enjoy a pretty dinner etc! It makes us all feel better, doesn’t it. Like Keats said, “A thing of beauty is a joy forever…”
Everything looks lovely together. Now that I don’t have boys running around the house, I can safely keep a table set with my china pieces, lol. Enjoying my morning coffee in my china cups.
So glad you are using your pretty things! Hey sometimes I am my own ‘bull in the china shop’. I break things myself. But that is ok, too. At least I enjoy them.
I am an estate liquidator, so I will keep my eyes peeled for the “Winter Greetings” Lennox Fine Bone China. Love the Tartan and all the Patterns. I really swooned over your Grandmothers Royal Doulton. “English renaissance”. My first pattern is Royal Doulton “Lichfield”.
I love Lenox china! I have another Lenox Christmas pattern called Holiday Tartan. I love it and it is discontinued but I have filled in with Lenox Holiday. Holiday Tartan also has the holly and berry motif but with additional pattern to it. Unfortunately, Lenox is no longer made in the US (since 2020) but all of my Holiday Tartan was made in the US because I have collected it over the years. Looks like yours is too. Your china patterns all looks lovely together!
Your Holiday Tartan pattern is so beautiful! Have you also tried finding pieces on ebay? I fill in my grandmother’s china pattern there and if i am patient, I can find lower prices. I am absolutely heartbroken Lenox China is not USA made anymore! I would have to just shop on secondary markets in that case as I refuse to support jobs going overseas. I like all of these china companies, whether US, English, French etc being made in their original countries. That is what makes it fine china! I want the craftspeople to still have good jobs. I sometimes dream of designing a china pattern myself, but I would want it to be either American made or European. I am not sure how to do that just yet. Thank you for writing! I absolutely loved hearing about your collection and I LOVE your pattern!
@@RestorationDream I got most of my Holiday Tartan from Ebay so much of it was made here in the US. I've been collecting it for years. It goes so very well with the "Holiday" pattern. I find that Ebay has gotten very expensive-especially the shipping but I don't need any more Holiday Tartan. I also have Old Country Roses and much of it was made in England. My English husband's mother gave us a tea set for our wedding. Keep collecting!!😁
I just love Old Country Roses! how nice you have an English MIL! I used to live in England for university and I wish to live there again someday. I love the culture and the tea! How incredible you have a tea set in that pattern. When my uncle got married in the 80s, his pattern was Old Country Roses, sadly they divorced, but they had quite a collection. I also love the blue roses in that pattern. It sounds like you know how to collect without my help! I agree about ebay costs. I have also received many broken things as many of them do not package very well. I personally would only want the Made in America and Made in England pieces. Is it bad I would rather have more china than new clothes? haha.
