Absolutely! I got these two little trees from Mrmaple.com. I would just highly recommend you order your trees at the beginning of the week, as they do ship them in a two day express delivery, but that is only for the work week M-F. I made the mistake of ordering Thursday night and didn't get them until Monday, so the poor little fellas had to remain in their box for four days. But, you can see they made it, though very dry. Water them right away and give them some love. I liked the company and plan to order again, but next time on Monday or Tuesday. I hope this helps. Japanese maples will bring so much color in your garden. I also wrote to the Mr. Maple people via email and asked them which varieties they would recommend for those two spots in the video. I sent a photo with an arrow and explained my sun exposure and how hot it gets in growing zone 8b and they sent me five or six options to choose from. I thought that was so nice. And don’t worry, I am not getting paid for talking about it. I am only a customer.

So glad you are using your pretty things! Hey sometimes I am my own ‘bull in the china shop’. I break things myself. But that is ok, too. At least I enjoy them.

Your Holiday Tartan pattern is so beautiful! Have you also tried finding pieces on ebay? I fill in my grandmother’s china pattern there and if i am patient, I can find lower prices. I am absolutely heartbroken Lenox China is not USA made anymore! I would have to just shop on secondary markets in that case as I refuse to support jobs going overseas. I like all of these china companies, whether US, English, French etc being made in their original countries. That is what makes it fine china! I want the craftspeople to still have good jobs. I sometimes dream of designing a china pattern myself, but I would want it to be either American made or European. I am not sure how to do that just yet. Thank you for writing! I absolutely loved hearing about your collection and I LOVE your pattern!

@@RestorationDream I got most of my Holiday Tartan from Ebay so much of it was made here in the US. I've been collecting it for years. It goes so very well with the "Holiday" pattern. I find that Ebay has gotten very expensive-especially the shipping but I don't need any more Holiday Tartan. I also have Old Country Roses and much of it was made in England. My English husband's mother gave us a tea set for our wedding. Keep collecting!!😁

I just love Old Country Roses! how nice you have an English MIL! I used to live in England for university and I wish to live there again someday. I love the culture and the tea! How incredible you have a tea set in that pattern. When my uncle got married in the 80s, his pattern was Old Country Roses, sadly they divorced, but they had quite a collection. I also love the blue roses in that pattern. It sounds like you know how to collect without my help! I agree about ebay costs. I have also received many broken things as many of them do not package very well. I personally would only want the Made in America and Made in England pieces. Is it bad I would rather have more china than new clothes? haha.

Thank you so much! I am just starting out, but I have all the designs and landscaping in my mind. I think the tree-like shrubs you mean are Sasanquas in the Camellia family but they have smaller leaves and smaller flowers than Camellias do. They are basically the same, other than that. They are actually tall shrubs, but I pruned them into the tree shape. They are just starting to bloom. There is a light pink, a dark pink and a white. The other shrubs by that brick wall are all pink azaleas.

And if what I heard is correct about youtube, in 2025, we will be able to have like a facebook-type of social aspect to our channels, so if you'd like, you can post a photo of your garden and i can share in your joy! I think that would be so fun, if that is true what TH-cam is planning. Gardens are wonderful things!

What an exciting comment! I just live that your wife calls you that. And I love that men enjoy beautiful things too, like china. When I was growing up, my grandfather and all of my four uncles also loved collecting china and crystal and had their own collections. I think that is very European thinking, many men feel like you do and thank you so much for the lovely compliment. It is so encouraging to keep going. @RestorationDream The pleasure is mine...🙂🙏🏻. It was all started in covid period when we were all over the world struggling with the hard changing situations. I personally at that time really enjoying watching random youtube contents especially about travelling, interior, nature, gardening, arts & flea market. And one thing for sure the one that really captured my attention when watching flea market contents were tea cups & plates with flower & nature patterns (As before I used to think that those stuffs only for granny/women...lol...😁🙏🏻). Honestly I've just found your YT channel this morning when randomly searching contents about tea cups, and one thing for sure that capturing my mind is your natural china set up collections & the way you speaking without being so "unreal" but still in a comfy way. Good to know that your grandfather & uncles also love this rare hobby (for men). Regards from Indonesia...🙂🙏🏻

I hope to include all of those categories someday, as i grow and get better at making videos. So nice to find a kindred sprit! I love youtube but it would be fun if we were in the old days and could visit and drink our tea in person.

@@sekarbloemen7560 and I forgot to add, if you like Paris and flea markets, one of the channels I enjoy is Gorogoro Kitchen. I think it is called that because she started as a cooking channel during covid, but does more vintage and antique things and collecting now. It is a Japanese lady who lives in Paris with her husband and they show us shopping trips to the flea markets. I really enjoy seeing everything. You might like it, too.

Hello! Thank you so much. I got that apple pot because I was inspired by starting a tiny backyard fruit orchard. I just planted three new apple trees and had one already. So, I hope someday to have apples and make things like a nice infused tea and cider and applesauce etc with them. That pattern is called, Pomona by Portmerion. And you can find pieces on eBay very affordably, if you are interested. They have teapots with other fruits like cherries, and a pear teapot. It cheers me up in the morning using it and I like the really fat little pot belly on it, too! Haha.

That certainly is enough, but I can’t help it. I love teapots!

Hello! I just love hearing from you! You sound just like me! God helps me, too. I do what I can with no budget whatsoever, but God gives me creative ideas and I dream about how it will look nice someday. Little by little, I get things done. You can use what you have. Even with little, we have so much. I also like to get things at the Salvation Army etc. And sometimes at my friend’s apartment complex, people put good wood furniture by the dumpster when they move out and I am refinishing them to work here in the rooms! People would think I am spending big money on antiques, but I am not. There is something nice about taking something broken and forgotten and giving it a whole new life, much like me! Haha. Too bad you aren’t still here! It would be so nice to have a friend to talk about the old South and beautiful antique things with. I come from a very old Southern family and just reading your story visiting your friend reminds me of old times when I was little with my grandparents and all of the lovely Southern great ladies I knew and visited, with desserts always served. They are all gone now and the South seems a lot like just about everywhere else. I miss those old days, which is what brought me here to live as an adult. All of those great ladies had family pieces like your friend had and wouldn't you just love to have some of it now! I surely would, but even more so, I would love to have those friendships again. Thank you for sharing. You have made me quite nostalgic! And didn't you just love seeing Stephanie dressing up in the 1860s period dresses? I surely did. It makes me want to make myself some!
