At its core, a dividend is your share in the profits of a company you own. In return for purchasing stock, or investing in a company you are given two fundamental rights. First, you have the right to participate in electing a board of directors to run the company, and second, you have the right to be paid a share of the company’s profits, at the discretion of that board.

The taxes are so high on dividends. Isn't is much better to buy stocks from growing companies, that uses the money to boost the value of the stock?
Tax rates on qualified dividends is the same as long term cap gains rate 0-15% in the US, and while job income is limited, Div income is unlimited, every month my income increases by buying more shares with my monthly dividends.😊
