Avi is an incredible singer song writer. The fact that he decided to choose family over a demanding career truly shows he knows where real wealth is. Wish him the very best this world has to offer
His control and general vocals have improved so much over the years. It's been a joy to follow his journey since the sing off. I knew since I first heard him there was a depth there that he just wasn't getting to unleash, while I miss him in Pentatonix, I'm really enjoying his solo stuff.
I also missed him in PTX but I am also happy that he gets to follow his type of music. Love him.

He wasn’t really part of ptx. He stood on the outside, and as a back up. Mostly cause the style of music they loved wasnt soe,thing he loved.
But also cause he is a bass, and its what people want. I see the VIP “oh, can you sing a really low note for us”? Or clapping when he goes really low in concert, like a trick poney. Who would want that? Its not fulfilling.
But to chart your own path. Write and arrange songs that speak to you..thats the path he is on.
I dont miss him with ptx, cause i never loved ptx, beyond “oh that’s really neat”. Outside of their Christmas music, ive not listened to any of their stuff more than a few times, cause its vocally complex, but its pop and its covers. And i hope they continue to succeed, i do. I just am thrilled avi gets fo be an artist, not a bass.
I am a metal-head, but Avi makes me listen to whatever this is. Keep doing you, Avi. Your voice is incredible and your songs always sing from the soul.
Same, if you would’ve told me 5 years ago this is the type of music I’d listen to if laugh in your face! But there’s something about Avi that hits me in a different way then metal does! It hits me in the same general area as metal but some a lot deeper!

A wonderful way to end my day is listening to Avi's smooth as chocolate low gentle voice! It's a balm to the soul, "evens my keel", so to say. I just close my eyes, my head usually gently rocks, a slight smilie forms, and a lightening of my heart just makes me feel better. What a privilege it would be to spend just 15 minutes in his presence watching him work. An amazing talent, with a unique gift given by god that we are lucky he shares with us.

Same here. 31 years of pain, 3 spine surgeries, and the depression is currently and amazingly real low. Music is a drug I couldn’t live without. Avi’s music is at the top of my set of music that helps.

Its so crazy how each member of PTX had their own individual preferred genre yet as a group were so perfect together in pop genre. I love avi and I'm so glad he can make this type of music that makes him happy because this is so different than what he did all those years ago in PTX

I love how his music never feels rushed to me. Like he's not in a rush to get the next song out or make that dollar, but man when it does come out it hits you like a freight train. I will binge listen to this song as I do the rest and I can't wait for the next to come out.
In a tangible sense, its exactly what i suspect it is. Ptx had him working 9 to 10 months every ear on the road, and writing/recording/arranging the other 2 to three months. Always more. Always rushed. Always go go go.
That would be hard for anyone, much less someone who deals with depression and anxiety.

I travel the country (Germany) for work and I listen to Avi on the road by myself. When this song comes, I sing along from the top of my lungs and cry my eyes out. Then I hit repeat a few times until all that needed to be felt was felt.
At first the song made me think of my last toxic relationship. Been single every since, 12 years ago. Then it made me think of the struggle with addiction, then with depression and now it's about the ego.

I don't know exactly what Avi's meaning of this song is. Addiction? A break up?
To me it resonates very well with me going no contact with my abusive family and the struggles I had at the time of doing so.
6 + years of no contact and I'm in a much happier place, but this song has me crying my eyes out.
He explained what it is for him, his tendency to go to anxiety or depression when he is worried about a situation but also how it could be for different things not helpful to the listener, staying in a bad relationship or a drug or alcohol addiction. Whatever we do that is not good for us when we are stressed about something in our lives.
This song is deep. it's to that addiction, nightmare, person, demon...that's holding us back and leading us astray.
Oh my God, this song literally speaks "autumn gonna be winter"! Just a few days ago I was signing this to myself out of the blue(ish) and I see that this song came out exactly one year ago! Phenomenal
