Hi Joel, Even though I watch most all of your videos, I don't usually comment. Today was a rough day at work, and your voice was just what I needed to make me smile. Thank you!
This was such a nice surprise, and I love the color of your T Shirt, men really wear pinks better than women imho, lol. Really appreciate you taking the time to answer questions, it really brings us up to date. Thanks Joel, can't wait for Part 2.
Joel, we love you and Keegan. My husband and I are gay, obviously, and Christian. We belong to the Episcopal church in the U.S., which is Anglican in the U. K. Like you, I grew up in a more traditional church that didn't support gays, etc., and now so glad to be where we are. We live in South Florida, if you ever come down further south when you come back to Florida, be sure to let us know! We will be glad to take you to Wilton Manors!
Just a point of clarification, you can only have one residential mortgage in England? You're not allowed to have a regular home and a vacation home in the South for example? I also find it strange that the bank dictates what you do with your house... in my experience in America you can buy as many houses as you can afford and kind of do with them whatever you want as far as renting or living in them. And on a side note, it's been great seeing you wear more colours, been watching you for the better part of a decade, and you've preferred black so often but the colours really make you glow!
Christ Loves Everyone. Period. Joel you are so good. You are kind, sweet, joyful, loving, funny, and finally honest about who you are and sharing your soul with all of us. Find the right bible study group for you...❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤✝️
I’ve been meaning to compliment you (as difficult as that may be for you!) on the color you’ve added to your wardrobe. I particularly like the lavender shirt. ❤
I think you're doing great. You seem to be loving your life with Keegan and the kids. I don't even have a question. You're just inspiring how cool everything is going.
In San Diego, we experience a consistent weather pattern with sunny days all year round, essentially making it feel like an everlasting summer. However, I'm personally not a fan of the warm weather.☀️
Inspiring to hear about your faith, thank you for sharing! There should never be a choice of pick one or the other. I'm gay and pentecostal and I don't think that's going to change.
Love the chat Joel! Wish it could be in person with a coffee and a slice of something sinful! Hoping to get to London sometime in 2024! 🤗 So glad you are doing well!
No, it's true - we would totally watch hours of you waffling on, lol. But thanks for the fun Q&A, Joel! Makes sense about investing in upgrades to the London house. And I believe the faith journey could probably be a mini-series. Lots to unpack there, I'm sure. Hello to Lucy, Keegan and the fam! Enjoy your week! 😊
I LOVE THE WINTER!! You can still get the sun in winter🥰I’m so happy to get cozy & watch holiday movies & drink warm drinks & putting our Christmas tree🤭we call it SWEATER WEATHER!! I CAN’T WAIT!♥️
Whatever you're doing with your health, keep doing it. You really do look great. Never heard of Pepsi Max here in California, but you enjoy that guilty pleasure. Clearly you're in great shape! Glad to hear you're doing well too ❤
Same Joel, same, when it comes to preferring winter and hating summer. Summer is relentless and hot. Nothing gets a break--not us or nature. The sun won't go away--it's here all day and into the night. If I want to stay in and cozy up with a book, I feel like I'm doing something wrong but if I go outside I'm sweaty and sun screen is ick but then skin cancer. Winter is lovely short days. Don't need an excuse to cozy up under a blanket, take naps, refuel, put on the layers. My husband is opposite with winter SAD. The world thinks we're crazy, Joel, but we've got it right!
If you're buying an investment house, I hope it goes smoothly and is a big success for you two. If you are moving, while Keegan's home really seems lovely, I hope your new home has a bit (or a lot) more land or abuts some nice open space.
I 100% agree with you about summer. It's my least-favorite season. I love fall and winter. I love the cold, and I love snow. People think I'm nuts, but that's okay. There are some of us out here who aren't winter-phobic and actually like cozy, dark nights that scream for hot chocolate and snuggling in a blanket. My moods have never been affected by lack of sunlight. I'm a tried and true night owl, so maybe that's why.
Going off of changing your pillowcase, also consider that if your hair is really oily and sweaty and you're laying on your pillow that's also going to transfer to your face. I know that's not possible for people that have to leave their house a lot...but if you don't it can be a game changer.
Joel!!! I was working doing another training and one of my coworkers were helping care their dad in Celebration Florida!!! I was like omg they do exist!! She was like yeah its very Stepford. I'll probably post this everywhere until you see it because I was like omg I have to tell Joel!!

I would def watch any amount of these, so can't wait for part 2,3,4, etc. (I'm sure you could use a different sponsor too). And would love one about your Christian journey, what things you've deconstructed, what remains, how that has impacted your relationship with family and friends from your upbringing etc etc etc. I'm glad you are willing to call out the church that you still consider yourself a part of, the same way you might call out the gay community on things they do that are hurtful or need adjusting. It doesn't make you less gay to do so. Also, so smart about the house thing, tho I'd still be interested in looking, I know it would be hard to do so without getting Too interested in investing up north, too soon. Losing yourself in the ACOTAR series was a great highlight, I love the sister seris to that, TOG. Check it out if you haven't already. Love all your different types of content.
Just catching up on your vlogs. Have the same, love Autumn Winter and not fan of summer. It's called reverse SAD, it's a thing. Made me feel better 😊 🍁
I would be interested in a video talking about your faith journey and how you believes have evolved over time as I was raised in an evangelical family, taken to in church since I was a baby and bc I'm also gay... so yeah, it would be interesting, I stopped attending church when I was 17 yo and to be honest, I don't regret it, I feel like going back would be like personal devolving

I’m like you…my favorite season is fall. Love winter, too. Spring is pretty, but summer drains me! Counting the days until the beautiful leaves change 🍂 ❤
@JoelWood, I've been self-aware of my gayness since Jr. High School, 1979-82. I am Christian and I once struggled with it years ago but then I reconciled my feelings. I do not fret over nor do I bend to society's judgemental BS. My relationship is with God and God only. It is private and I answer only to him. Yay gay, God loving me! I pray you reconcile too. Love & light to you always. My best, Lisa
Great catch up! After some major deconstruction of my faith, it sounds like I'm in the same place as you. I'm a Christian lesbian. I love my wife and I think that God loves and accepts us for exactly who we are. Are your parents going to come up for a visit soon? Missing them!
Find a great bible study group. There are gay ones, woman only ones etc...Or start one yourselves!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Love to you!!! And yes, of course, Christ loves All of us!!!
Joel I feel the same way about Winter/Fall! That may also have to do with me living in Texas and it being 109 Today lol but a good cozy fall day is the best!
Yay, love a good Q&A! I swear there are things about you & I that make us related. 😂 I also use a vitamin C serum & a retinol every day, & I’ve done the pillowcase thing since I was a teenager! Lovely to hear about your plans for your property in London 😊 i know how much you loved that house . Sure once all the work that needs to be done ,your & Lucy property will have a New tendency very Quickly 😜. Great Q&A Have a Good week take care 🥰
Hi Joel, another excellent Q+A video. I agree with you 100%. I also believe in God, but I don't need all the worldly baggage the church carries as an institution. In the end, religious wars have always arisen and will always occur over-interpreting the written word in a book. And as far as I know, this also applies to all other religions. To my profound conviction, the debate between a human being and his projected higher being is what constitutes true faith. You are such a wonderful, warm-hearted and intelligent person that I sincerely wish you all the best for your future journey in life.
Joel love your Q&As ,I wondered what you were going to do with the house in London, I understand about fixing it up, I also wondered if you would consider doing something similar to what AK and Lia are doing investing in real estate business?
I fully read bible cover to cover and studied the history of who authored the books and the time period and when I was finished I came out as an atheist. I actually mourned the loss of my belief.
@@missybelmont9830 oh sweetheart, I am found, I know the truth. And I am happy without god's, leprechauns, and/or unicorns. Save your prayers for someone who needs them, but it ain't me. Finding the joy in such little things has brought such happiness to me.
I’ve always wondered how you reconcile your religious beliefs that are specifically against how you live your life. I know many people who’s lifestyle would be considered “a sin” based on how they live and they would never think about following such a religion. So, yes, please do talk about it.
Would love to hear more about your being a Christian and reconciling yourself with the homophobia that's been historically virulent within the Christian church starting with Paul. As someone who used to be a Christian but stopped being one after looking into research of the behind the scenes of the history of First Century Judaea and Galilee, Jesus' ministry and the Christian church, I found that I just couldn't possibly believe in any of it anymore.
I'm not a "skincare routine" kind of gal, but I also don't use creams and makeup, etc. so that might help... but I and most people I meet don't think I look 55... I usually get, "Oh I thought you were like 40." Some of that is genes, but when I'm eating well and keeping hydrated, my skin glows! The other things I've done consistently for the past ten years is: sunscreen (but I'm like you I like a good autumn, cold, dark day... I avoid the sun a lot), any natural oil at night (I like almond oil), and gentle exfoliation every other day or so (I like a Buf-Puf). My dermatologist 20 years ago said just use water on your face... if you're not putting a bunch of crap you bought on it, then you don't need to buy more crap to remove it! I use a gentle natural soap (that smells like oatmeal cookies!) to wash. In fact I also use it to wash my hair. Once I stopped using shampoo and conditioner 15 years ago, my hair health improved, too. I think most products are unnecessary and are just being marketed to us to buy more stuff! Of course, if you LIKE something, then treat yo' self!
I’m an old bird!! Yesterday I had eye surgery. Everyone throughout the process commented on how young I look. One asked what my secret was. All I can think of is good skin care, healthy living and a wild, misspent youth!!!!
Is Keegan Christian or religious and how do you navigate faith together? Like do you go to church, does he go with you? Do you read the Bible together? Do you talk about spiritual topics? I think I remember in one of your podcasts he said he's agnostic, but doesn't have any specific belief. I'm not religious at all, I'm just curious 😂
Joel, Please be super careful about picking your tenants in your rental. One good tip that I was told, sadly too late, was to look at the inside of their cars. You can tell quite a lot about how they take care of their surroundings. Just a tip! I adore you, Joel, Keegan and kids!! Much Love, Grannyb
Love your Q&A's!! So happy we can expect another one! I completely understand the Christian thing. I'm a disappointment to my VERY conservative parents, and I'm a PK (preacher's kid) Still a Christian! But get the deconstruction part. Always love ❤ and always have your back!

I'm with you on the Nutella. I hate hazelnut. It has a funky aftertaste
I’m an old bird!! Yesterday I had eye surgery. Everyone throughout the process commented on how young I look. One asked what my secret was. All I can think of is good skin care, healthy living and a wild, misspent youth!!!!
Hahah I love that!! Great advice! Haha
It’s a good idea to use the London house as an investment property. Especially if there isn’t a ton of rental options that way.
We would watch an hour 😂! ~Cara
I forgot my favorite binge streaming show on Netflix: " The Magicians"
Any of the new decoràtor they don't use carpet anymore dustcolecter mabe in the UK not in the us
Love that colour on you. What is it? Make you look so youthful. And your glowing.
Thanks so much! Not sure, it’s a faded salmon pink I think!
Just live together for a while and get to know one another a little better.. What's the rush?...
Exactly! No rush!
Thanks for the skin tips! 👍
You’re welcome!
Love listening to you you have a lovely voice ❤take care and stay safe ❤❤
My doctor says vitamin tablets/capsules only make for expensive pee.
I really want to try Ritual but they don’t have it here in Australia 😢
Ahh that’s so annoying! Maybe they’ll branch out there one day!
Silly comment, but I love the color of your shirt; it suits you! 😀
Oh thank you!
Love your Q&A's!! So happy we can expect another one! I completely understand the Christian thing. I'm a disappointment to my VERY conservative parents, and I'm a PK (preacher's kid)
Still a Christian! But get the deconstruction part. Always love ❤ and always have your back!
There are some cool Christian based churches here in Central Florida, but best thing for most of us it to find the best Bible study group for you. There are even gay bible study groups...women only study groups, etc.......❤❤❤❤❤ love to you!
you are basically making your own religion up because you are straying from the truth- which is the word of God
@@mrg-k2r Then you are very familiar with Matthew 7:1.
Your a winter baby. You can't help it. I am the same way. Summer isn't my favourite season either. I prefer Autumn and Winter as well as early Spring.
