I Built a REALISTIC Steel Mill in Minecraft Create Mod

- I need steel if I ever want to refine oil or make better cannons in Minecraft Create Mod! So today, I design and build a super realistic Steel Mill based off of an old real-life facility in order to begin producing steel.

The birth place of Square Galvanized Steel.
But where are the eco-friendly wood veneers?
And the screws borrowed from his aunt?
Lol
No... just, no
@@Goldjonibut where are the expansion screws??? 😢
Maybe you could use Phantom rails the invisible ones and have drawbridge be just visual
That would probably be the easiest way to do it. He would need to mess around with train signals though to make it work realistically.
But probably doable.
And also have signal stops so trains don't just go over nothing, right?
Was thinking exactly that lol
@@viperforty8450 simple redstone contactor and redstone torch to the signal would be enough
there is a minecolonies add on that makes the gunner an option for guards, who use the revolver from immersive engineering. It is called “comparability add on for minecolonies”
Everything about the blast furnace is realistic except for the catwalk inside. The slag area is how some blast furnace slag outputs are actually managed but they normally make a small pit so the slag doesn’t flow everywhere. Also the way that the blast furnace is loaded isn’t conveyors, they’re loaded by 2 big buckets called skips that use the other’s weight and assistance from a which to pull each other up and down the track up the side of the furnace
The catwalk is actually a real part of Sloss Furnace in Birmingham, it was used occasionally for scraping excess slag that got stuck to the inside of the furnace basin
“We’re gonna make Coke.. uhh coal coke” nice save
What u mean nice save the coal makes it worse
@@Cookieboi658 personally "White" coke is worse
@@conorjfarringtoncabrera8805 u r mistaken there my friend
@@Cookieboi658 I am to assume that 30kg of "white" coke will put you in the ground faster than 30kg of carbon
@@conorjfarringtoncabrera8805 I am not afraid, when I am, the danger
Something I find funny is how I build a 1900s style steel mill (not really like this one) like a week ago on my own create world. IDK the desire to build giant steel mills in minecraft is a common one
Maybe it's just me, but the Tornado's mod just seems unappealing. Seeing the builds just disappear in the storms and be damaged makes me upset :/
That factory certainly grew
YOOOOOOOO HE SAID THE THGING
Perhaps you can use your current drawbridge and just run some invisible phantom rails across the gap with the drawbridge being a purely visual thing. I’m sure you can do something with station schedules, red stone and timings to make it wait for the bridge to raise and lower correctly
Love Bethlehem steel works! The event center their holds some awesome concerts and other events!
instantly recognized from the pic. when i was in high school we participated in a jazz ensemble competition there each year and the winning place opened for some of their bigger concerts.
there's something so surreal about seeing him explore the nether for some wood and pull out an assault rifle to smoke a Hoglin
me and my friends have actually made a server with your modpack!
Weathers, Storms and Tornadoes installed.
Great fear commenced.
This series makes Fridays so much better🔥💯🔥
6:13 I’m super happy you used Halo music it fit so well, and it is a good song.
The future is in Electric Arc Furnaces. I work at a steel mill and there's a lot of ways that the material glows. I'd love to see a modern mill, with an arc furnace, press, and rolling mill!
Which steel mill do you work at? My uncle used to work on one
@@EaNasirSellsBadCopperNGL Crucible Steel in Syracuse, NY.
@@corinneconverse6070it's good to know there's still steel production in the States. It used to be the beating heart of our industry, I'm glad we don't get all our steel imported.
Would recommend a mod called Create: Bells & Whistles for trains to push entities (colonists) off to the sides rather than them getting carried away or run over.
You can use regular mechanical bearings to assemble and disassemble on rotation completion. It would make your town's drawbridge and the rail bridge function as roads. The glue handles the actual disassembly and reassembly process.
You can’t move rails on beating sadly.
9:15 fake it till you make it use invisible tracks as the real ones and just stop the traffic when the bridge is up so it looks real
For your next bridge, there is one called the Green Island Bridge in Troy, New York. This bridge is different in that instead of splitting in the middle, it lifts the whole bridge up out of the way. This might be easy with rope pulleys. Hope this gives you inspiration!!
Sbeev is really good at making awesome builds that never feel 100% finished. On the inside or the areas around the actual build it always looks kind of bare or has random torch spam, gaps etc
I just finished all of the other episodes just to watch this, don’t ask me I don’t know why either.
You should put some shrubs and vines there because industrial architecture looks hella aesthetic when it’s full on rotting away
what if you added a lava generator in the basement, it could mimick the molten slag from the mill and be transported away by trucks or carts/tiny trains and or stored for furhter use? Imagine having a fleet of tiny trains to transport the slag like the irl pic u mentioned, would be CREATE as hell man!!
you got to disable “spawned tornados head for player” so every storm doesn’t just head straight towards you once they spawn. find it in tornado mod config, advanced, i believe 6th page
I love your build style. Adding the molten steel made it look so cool.
For the train bridge, you could use phantom tracks so it looks the part but still functions
the villain's layer could be everywhere
The villain's layer:

I watched your entire 4 hour video, im so invested in this series even if my monley brain cant comprehend the features and components of the Create mod, like how do i use a cog wheel 😂
Im a maintenance supervisors for a steel mill in Michigan. The slag and front loader is correct. Chains on tires and they collect the slag. You did a good job on this build! Im actually at work right now watching this!
12:03 is actually realistic, I’ve been to Sloss Furnace in Birmingham Alabama and while it’s not the exact same it’s a pretty similar design as this blast furnace.
The cat walk was used to inspect the inside of the blast furnace
12:37 they should make a sub-mod for Minecolonies integrates create and addons and thus gives you the demand for a truly ridiculous amount of automation
"No, No! You stop that! Bad Tornado, Shame on you! Not in the village, You do that outside the village, wait no not the train yard-"
you could try using a deployer on the phys bearing to turn it on and off
Wooo finally under a minute
Idea for drawbridge, use some of the invisible tracks to connect the railroad, have the physics objects for visibility, and make sure the drawbridge is synced to train signals or something
Goated series
I’ve been to the Carrie Furnace in Pittsburgh, and it was one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen. It’s good to hear that others appreciate this technology as much as I do
Some moving train bridges rotate around a central point. You can find pictures of a bridge on Bear Creek in MD that represent it very well
Been watching your series for the past week, this is a really fun intriguing lp and been glad to get back into watching minecraft vids again, thanks sbeev!
Is if possible to add tinkers? I think someone in a previous episode mentioned that it is possible in the comments. I think that would be really cool to have in the steel mill, with all of the cast channels and alloying stuff
you can improve some frames by right clicking on cogs, shafts and belts with casings (Andesite Casings) it does not consume the block and generally in big machine rooms that do not expose their cogs, adding them on is just free frames
7:28 I got excited
I have heard that using Framed Blocks with schematics can cause either performance issues or crashes, but I assume that will vary depending on the stability of the modpack. A lot of people recommend stuff like Copycat+ instead, but I do admit that Framed Blocks have more variations you can use in comparison.
10:30 Thats not an entire steel mill. Thats just a blast furnace. I know because I work in a steel mill. We have 4 of those. And they are ALOT bigger than that one :p
Fun fact, one of the houses I moved into a few years ago, My family had to move out of because the floor joists were soaked in Cresosote.
You should get the minecolonies addon comparability, you can make a gunner as an option for the guards
I love seeing the birth of the military industrial complex in minecraft!
Phantom rails have been mentioned a lot but you can add ties use copycat steps
9:09 maybe use the entity and then have invisible track?
Hey I went to college there! The park they turned the mill into is really nice!
My favorite create series yet! Keep it up!
SICK! Geez!
Sbeev id recommend using rubidium instead of optifine and if you're using embiddium use rubidum because it give like 10-15% more fps
I felt true fear when he crafted the axe like that
In milwaukee, wisconsin there are train bridges that spin to be parrallel with the river when not in use. Im not sure if that would work better than the draw bridge
Lovely video
9:45 Juan is that you?
Yooo Bethlehem Steel Mill!!! My friend lives near there it’s huge and sick af
The Bethlehem Steel Mill. It's one of the famous ones around lake Erie, as the only two major steel mills that used lake freighters for a long time were Bethlehem Steel, Cleveland Iron co., and Mack Iron Works of Sandusky Ohio. The only other nearby steel mill to us in Ontario is the Hamilton with Stelco. 14:19 I literally guessed the correct number here nonchalantly thinking back to how the last one was 11 pages, and went "wait what?" When I was on the dot.
You need to build a ship with canons that you can sail the seas in.
İdk what doesnt work with the draw bridge but if its something to do with pathfinding use phantom rails. The drawbridge would still have the rails, as visual.
If you dont want the train to just go throug the bridge while its up, use some redstone to stop the train from moving any further.
Also use create mod's moving thingy luke how you did the other bridge, the other one would make unnessery lag.
Also for the phantom rails to not breake when the bridge is down, either make the bridge stop in a slighty higher angle or set the bearing to not place the object.
i saw the slag truck vid too :3
I wish these were longer
Also you can make a lifting drawbridge so up instead of having a arm lift it
man i look forward to your videos man great job 😁 i lived my entire life in right outside bethleaum pa. til i moved to the nyc
nice
Fallen London: London's icy storm
Does it have the appalling late-19th-century working conditions to go with it?
You should make a server with a bunch of other TH-camrs with this mod pack, and have it be like hermitcraft
Bruh, this is not even minecraft colony anymore, its basically a 3D Factorio.
You should use the steam and rails smokestacks for chimneys and stuff
I would be you, I would disable the tornadoes in the config/mod menu. X)
Needs the pollution mod to be even more realistic.
But… that might cause the mob farm to break, so maybe not.
Ther is a create addin called create interactive, i dont know tho if it can move train tracks as a cintraption
i have an idea, maybe you could automate all the framed blocks if you havent already :)
you should probably make a basalt farm
Bethlehem steel was in Baltimore Maryland
Correction Sloss furnace in Birmingham Alabama is the biggest steelmill
12:00 oh yeah, I'm pretty sure if you were this close you would actually die, and potentially catch fire. And become blind. During insertion in a foundry I saw flames going up like, 10 meters? maybe more.
RIP everything you build with that mod.
Why are you invading us, America?
America: 0:00
If you want to upgrade your system I can definitely help you with that dude!
You thought I wouldn't notice you playing Halo 3 music didn't you?
Crazy
The thumbnail is just a picture of Fundidora Park in Monterrey
I LOVE YOU
U can put a train next to it please
Did Sloss furnaces, or bethlahem steel in philly inspire this ?
Eh yo I know this place [to sum extent] as I live in Pennsylvania USA 😂
The foundary IS beautifull in shaderss
Yay new vid, tho one thing i did in my pack is swap the factory grow with diesel generators. Tfmg is just a bit more than i wanna deal with
Edit: That is one dated rig, my gpu tho is a 1660 super and god do i need an upgrade
9:45 Juan?
Is there any chance you will update the modpack on CurseForge? :3
I will soon but after some more testing of certain mods on my end
oki
I like To mek other hbm series❤❤
at around 13:00 10 frames per second is a lot for me, i reached 0 frames somehow by standing still and looking around.
I need this build as a download
I have been loving the series so I decided to use the modpack and it’s great. I have one concern though. When I’m doing villager trades for enchantments it is constantly giving me the prot 3 for 16 cigarettes that comes with the love and war mod. It gives me this trade probably like 50% of the time so it is really hard to get the stuff I want. Is there a way to fix this because I don’t remember this being a problem for you. Thanks
hey sbeev a question where do you find fire clay?
could please you make an update to the mod pack on curse forge? I would like to be able to play along with the series :)
Yay new video
