Hey Cheryl, we’ve always had good luck with port vendors selling tours, but I can see how solo travel would make that more nerve-wracking. We had the same short stay in St. Thomas on the Icon, and it’s a shame because there’s not much time to explore. Those rockers in the park are perfect to sit and relax-we definitely took advantage of them a few times on our cruise. Looks like you had a fun day, thanks for sharing!
So you're the reason why my rockers were hardly available! LOL! Just kidding...lol. But yes, I'm comfortable choosing port vendors when I'm with at least one other person. But not by myself. That's all. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Appreciate those taxis and tours that the prices are listed and they stick to it. No gouging once in route or once you reach your destination. Some ports are well oiled machines and fair the way the run. I’ve yet to try El loco fresh. How dare ppl intrude on your spots 😂? Ppl lose all inhibitions with Quest 😂. Drinks and club with friends. Gotta turn up sometimes 😂. Thanks for sharing 🤗
Yes! And that’s what I’ve heard before…price switching or not providing a full round trip as promised. I appreciate the posted prices! Thank you for watching and commenting, Cydney!!!
It would be great to see how they make those banana daiquiris, but this triggered me to look up recipes and found some ones that look quite interesting! Love your commentary on people taking your special seats too! It's always so nice to find a nice place where no one else is at... and can relate to that disappointment when others discover it too! :-) Always love your commentary!
I would feel fairly comfortable using port excursions in St. Thomas, as it is a territory of the United States, and probably subject to US laws. Also, I have been to St, Thomas several times, wandered about the downtown, and walked for blocks, including the shops along the "alleyways" off the main street. I have never had a problem or felt unsafe there. The biggest problem a cruiser could have is getting back to the ship on time, because if several large ships are in port, you have thousands of passengers trying to return to their ship at the same time on that two lane road! Talk about anxiety! 😄
Those are great points, Ginger! Thank you for sharing your experience on St. Thomas after several visits. Definitely good to know. Especially the point about getting back to the ship on time. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes. But at least for me, being a U.S. territory changes nothing about my solo safety practices in a port. It was my first time there and I’m even more cautious on my first visit to a port I’ve never experienced.Thank you do much for sharing your experience! ❤️❤️❤️
A 730am-1pm port day is egregious! Glad y'all made the best of it 💜
Yes I despise that port time. I usually see it a lot for Key West. We had a good time though! ❤️

Love the views ❤ I can’t wait to visit St Thomas. Yes the nerve of them stealing your rocker space 😂
Right! The nerve...lol. The views were amazing!

nice!! great video vlog , very well done thanks for sharing
Thank you so much, Cruise Nuts!!!
I’ve always felt comfortable with vendors outside of the cruise. I definitely like the prices too
That's great! Yeah, I feel comfortable when I'm with others but not solo. Well, I think I would be comfortable if it's a group like in St. Thomas!
I loved the tram and the scenic views but didn't try the banana daiquiri. Always a next time
Yep! Now you gotta book another cruise to try the banana daquiri! LOL!!!
Hi Cheryl, no way the rudeness of entering your safe haven during your cruise. I am loving the commentary 😂 5:34

Well, the way she was talking, I believed that was one of the consequences! 😂😂😂
