Pale blue coaches are fit for 130 kmph and used for intercity train services, Red coaches are used for long distance trains. The Yellow are old ICF make coaches fit for 110 kmph

Awesome thanks for the reply! So are the pale blue coaches used for seating, AC and non-AC chair car and the red ones for sleeper, AC 3 tier and 2 tier? Also are the yellow ones used for both seating and sleeper, but for slower (non-superfast) trains?

@@madavanraja3636 Yes correct. Indian Railways is slowly phasing out the yellow ones and all rakes will be red or pale blue in the near future.
