Have been watching your great videos from the US..What I can't help but notice is how cleaner the tracks and stations look ..The trains look impressive as well . Proud of Indian Railways and the efforts to improve the system
Modiji has changed the whole system of indian railways, trains are clean, tracks are clean, all trains are equipped by bio toilets, every station is being constructed again fresh with modern amenities,in last 15 years whole india has been changed, and this is the beginning, just wait for the projects that are going to be completed in next 5 years most of them are just on the verge of completion
It is so sad to think that these beautiful pieces of machinery are being retired and will never be found again. The WDP4Ds can give the WAP 7s a run for their money any day!
Beautifully captured.. The honking, the sound of tracks ..when the train is actually passing the station and also when the last bogie leaves the station...is just music to the ears. 👍👍 Diesel locos always appear more masculine than the electric ones. Will surely miss them once they are phased out completely.
@@feeshyyyt I saw some TH-cam videos which explained it. The diesel is used to run an electric generator which produces AC which is converted into DC which runs an DC electric motor which pulls the train. The DC motor has much higher torque.
I worked on the UK railway in 1966/7/8. I time one of these diesels from the moment you could recognise it to when it arrived. It was a straight track into the distance. It took 7 secs.
People may troll you but watching trains whole day is a beautiful feeling.. I too have the same... Don't care about the people... Our happiness is most important
So finally, I miss a lot of WDM 2😔 the legend of all indian locomotive. It made 2000 units during running time any locomotive not make these type of units still. And, also I miss WDP 4 locomotive because it was the 1st locomotive who achieved 200 kmph🔥🔥 speed during the time of Telgo trial But, it's also stop because have only 1 cab 😔🙏

Nearly 30 years ago I was sitting at Allahabad station and Howrah-Delhi Rajdhani passed through that platform. Could feel the high speed of that train.
During 1965s,I remember having traveled long distance trains running on Steam Loco. Dedicated Loco drivers were throwing coals into Furnace at high speed. Trains were running at very high speed. I guess more than 120 km per hours Those were the days. During 1965 ,I after high school traveled through steam Loco running trains. Salutes to such Loco pilots Jay hind

Before 2014 every train in india used to run at 100-110 even the rajdhanis only bhopal shatabdi used to run at 150,my father worked in the railways and i am working in it too
Very nice vedio of Indian's Lifeline. A request to add destination to destination distance and hours train reaches. Still informative and tomorrow it will be one of the most watched vedio...
Crazy fast, while sitting in Absolute Comfort oblivious. The Alaska train moves at 45 km per hour and the advertised constantly to stay away from the dangerous tracks, while they walk down high-speed tracks like sidewalks in India Crossing in front of the train as if it would save time which it would if the train moved as slow as our Alaska train moves, I bet they don't turn 18 wheelers left in front of the train as I seen done in Florida with the obvious result. Imagine the unmovable traffic if they didn't have these trains literally carrying millions of passengers daily just to get to work
Nice video Pritam. Train doing 130, doors are open, and passengers sitting at the edge of death 2:05, 2:12, actually throughout the video. What a rush.
On the platform side too! They'd be mangled remains and also cause danger to those behind in the compartments. All it takes is a slip, a small nudge or wobble.
Dont worry its not edge of the death, before it was when there were old coaches,so there was a lot of jerk now you dont even feel a jerk, obviously standing or sitting at the door is always going to be dangerous, but india is not for beginners thats it,more than 25 million passengers travel daily in indian trains, indian railways operates 12000+ daily trains, every other day there has been more and more additions but still we are 1.4 billion so there's going to be rush

They have been almost phased out on almost all broad gauged main routes routes. However they will continue on remaining routes till the end of 2023 when 100% electrification of all rail routes be completed.

I have good experience in 12217 express because most of the time it starts at 1.00 pm from vasai and reaches around 5 pm at Vadodara. But it is reaching the suburb stations near vadodara like makarpura or vishwamitri around 4.30 pm and make a halt there for adjusting time. Means it's average speed is above 90 kmph.
This has become trend railways now need to reduce time by 40-60min in all routes where tracks are upgraded to handle 130kmph. 130kmph has become the norm now most trains are running at those speeds which was earlier 100-110 max. Which saves time hit they halt half an hour before to adjust time. 😒
Question: When there are overhead electric wires why there is a need to run diesel locomotive.. Can't we have electric locomotive where electric lines are present and change to diesel locomotive when the electric lines end ?
It's happening in phased manner. You need 20,000 electric locomotives- won't happen overnight correct? Also power generation and distribution needs to scale up. Infra set up is no child's play. Then you ll just scrap the 5000 or so perfectly working diesels off service? And then what?! It is a multi decade planned project needing financial and technical viability. Not someone desired and overnight it d happen. Lol.
Last month one 82 year old man who needs a stick to walk and is partially deaf walked across railway crossing in Ollur in Kerala, the crossing was closed yet he walked to the other side the Eidlan Express came tearing fast knocked him into pieces.. The pilot of the train was blowing the whistle loud but deaf old man did not hear. Many such accidents happen in over populated India..
Diesels at 130 is bliss. 110 and alco is vintage. Nice collections
