@@123476565656 The car basically disintegrated into several large, heavy pieces going at quite a rate of speed into a densely packed crowd while spreading flaming fuel and straw everywhere.
A tragic, violent mess that typified attitudes to safety at the time.

Really hoping that when Formula 1 goes to the Nurburgring or Istanbul Park in a few weeks time Craig just buys four cheap copies of F1 2011 from Game and gets the boiks to race the tracks on that game instead.

I don't think he's breaking, I believe it's because he's using manual and more realistic controls and he keeps stalling at the start because if it.

4:44 Craig missed that the bridge you go under here is the north end of the original oval. And the reason they originally went over the start/finish straight twice is because they went down the straight, then for a lap around the oval, then down the straight again, and then a lap around the open course (that's still used), and then back across the finish line onto the oval and repeat. Monza's had a lot of chicanes and corner changes over the years to slow the cars down, but the vast majority of the track that's used for F1 still follows the original track layout, and it still possible to follow the original course if they remove the barriers.
Many of the original F1 tracks had ovals, but they were last used in the 1967 season (which is why Sierra's GP Legends is set in 1967, the last year the ovals were in use, and still the only game where you can experience them) because by 1967 they were already hitting 250 km/h and the ovals meant the cars didn't ever slow down, which made the races incredibly dangerous. Monza is the only F1 track that has kept the oval, and although it's not usually used for racing anymore, it is the test track for Ferrari and they use the oval for speed tests.
