Depending on where you live and how far you’ll go for your pets, hospitalization can cost anywhere from a $2,000 to $15,000. I know that a lot of people here are saying that they are saving more money by not having insurance, but I hope they’re ready to dish it out when the time comes! It really can be life or death for a pet when the family can’t afford it- and a lot of ER vets require at least 50% payment up front, if not all of it. Everyone is allowed to do whatever they feel like is best for their pet and their income but I have full trupanion coverage on all of my animals. One of my pets just had to be put on a $100 a month medication, so his insurance pays for itself. 😉 Regardless of what you do, I love your organization and envelope set up!
Hi Aya, yes I agree with the pet emergency. It’s better to fund that than to pay for pet insurance . I had pet insurance and i was Paying more by paying for the insurance rather than saving

I deposit money into our joint savings for money we are saving together. If I use my debit card or make an online purchase, I deposit the money back into my checking. And if I need to deposit money from my school or taxes envelope (because those are just mine, and not Logan’s), it goes into my own savings account.
