My heart goes out to these people. Such a creative couple imagine what they could achieve if they were not hindered by the ignorance of the council. Love from cork
Not sure when this was !. These people should be supported one hundred% . They have the people and the area's best interests at heart. They are the right people to live and work there. I would support them if I lived there, give them a break and back them up., My family are the Doyle's, beside the Ryan, Kennedy, and Murphys, farming families.
My mum's people are from up the road and also buried in the graveyard there. I spent all my summer holidays in St mullins at my grandparents farm, just up the road from the grave. I could tell you some tales from my time spent there over the years. My brother nearly drowned in the river barrow where that house is. If I'm not mistaken it use to be the flowermill . There was also a egg factory there same place year's ago my aunt worked there . I love that area great memories. Haven't been down there in years, on my bucket list maybe this year 🍀🤗
Typical gombeen county council members. When the place was for sale ,no one wanted it ,now some local developers see a gold mine and are probably relatedmto the councillors, same story all over this banana republic!
You're so right. Carlow county council are corrupt. Last week the decimated a piece of waste ground in town centre beside river Barrow which was full of wild birds. They owned a car park in town centre and sold it to a business person who then rented it back to them. There's a lovely small park called Hanover Park as far as I know they're suppose to have sold most of it to a well known Clothes retailer for a car park right across the road from the car park they're renting. I know a man that was picking up litter along River Barrow voluntary he asked council for black sacks. You'll never guess the response " why do you bother" needless to they didn't give him any black sacks. Do hope these people stick to their guns.
ronan, that place was awesome!...i hope you stay in touch w/the owners to keep us updated on the future of it!...ty for the video, i don't think that is right for the city counsel to claim imminent domain on them as they don't want to build a road or anything like that. Maybe the owners could work out something in the future?

Creative people and a beautiful spot by the river. I wish them peace. Sounds like they deserve a bit.
Don't give up on your dream, it's worth the fight, to a point only if it doesn't damage you mentally physically emotionally and financially. 🍀🤗✊
If you start such projects and invest in it so much, you always should first be aware of local politics and shenanigans.
There's still a lot to watch for us think there lovely and love Ireland 🌈🌈🌈 thank you for these Diane xxxx Colin 🌺🌄🙏 🌈
It's a shame their project didn't come together. That office/kitchen is inspiring.

Crowd fund to get legal aid / lawyer...
I would chip in !!! X
They might be able to make some headway if people started writing to the council?
I hope they have managed to hang on there.

They should invite other artists to stay & organise exhibitions. Become an asset to the local area.
Thay will always tell creative types what they can't do .....
She said the locals were concerned that she would close the waterway off...but she never said if she did or not🤔
She didn't, it's all open down there. Absolutely gorgeous part of the country if you ever get a chance to see it
