I had a70 1/2 Z28 in high school all the way up until early nineties. It wasn't a rally sport and it had the same spoiler you have.. the small spoiler was on all the way up to early 71❗ I miss that car. yours is beautiful ‼️

The 1 piece spoiler was still avail in 1971 which came std on the Z28 and the 3 piece spoiler was an option. I bought a 71 Z28 in 1975 and it came with the 1 piece. I bought my 70 Z28 in 1981 and still own it today.

Nice car, but it’s interesting that it doesn’t have any of the original Rally Sport bright trim on it- top of the doors into the hood, lower rocker trim.
Strange that it’s a RS Z/28 with Deluxe Interior, but radio delete and no center console.
Missing the chrome Camaro emblem on the hood too.
I wonder if he has the original intake?.
    Still- bitchin’ Camaro.

The car also had the wide accelerator pedal that bolted to the floorboard and only seen a couple on early second gen cars guess they might have been carried over like spoilers from the 70 model? No such thing as a "radio delete" option. Alleged gearheads need to stop perpetuating this misinformation. You ordered a radio.....or you didn't! When you didn't opt for a radio, its place in the dash was filled by a block-off plate.

      M20L35
Very interesting! 1983, and I had just earned my license and could drive out to a underclassman that was always running his mouth about his father's 70 SS Camaro.
Like everything I could've imagined, he in-deed was the original owner and parked it after getting married then finding out his new bride was with child. 11,700 miles back then and it was a dark metallic maroon/cherry color. It was not the high horsepower 375/396, but a 350hp, which surprisingly wasn't called out on the air cleaner lid?
Anyways, he ordered this car without radio and any striping and it was supposed to be light green, but came in this way so he trailered it home. Yep. Corsello Chevrolet in Bellevue PA AND IT ARRIVED IN February and the roads were bad. Awesome car that he wouldn't part with, that is until a Chapter 7 Judge was auctioning the car and guess who was there, (mind you this was1994 and "I" had my second child coming, lol) ME.
It was actually only two of us, the other being his brother in law. My limit was 21k and as you can imagine, he paid 22k!
I hear that he still has the car... I hope no one cut up that dash?!?!

Hey Ric. You are right. If you didn't order a radio they put that plate in the hole. However, everyone calls it a "radio delete plate" - even the parts book(s). If I am an "...Alleged gearhead..." well then so be it. I won't lose a minute of sleep over your judgment of me.

I thought that "radio delete" was an option for minimizing weight - because you will have no radio (which was quite heavy), no speakers (quite heavy as well) and no wires for radio and speakers (which you will have if you just not order radio). Or am I wrong?
      Great car by the way!
