This looks good. I just bought some red Fresno peppers as well in order to try making this. I was in search of red jalapeños but was unable to find them locally. Looking forward to trying this.
I somehow managed to grow a few pepper plants in my tiny backyard in NYC this summer. One of the better peppers that came through this year was a desert pepper my friends call "Pequin". The pods are round, red and slightly smaller than marbles. They pack a punch but are really tasty too. Might try them in your sauce recipe.
I made this recipe again using red chiles I found at the Indian market in town- it came out so good. Its addictive. Thanks again for sharing this recipe and method.
I'm going to try this recipe out once my fresnos are fully ripe. I have a couple of questions. I'm thinking of adding in some habanero peppers as well? Good idea? Also, how long will this sauce last in the fridge? Thanks Ben!
I typically find that it last me about a month in the fridge. Feel free to add/substitute any other peppers depending on your heat tolerance. I have made this with all sorts of peppers over the years.

That sounds like a great idea. Also if the pepper plants are potted you can over winter them and then next year they should yield more peppers.

Glad you are enjoying this! I make it all the time too!
What will be the taste of the salsa if you roast the chiles, peel them off instead of frying them ? Can you please coment ?
I have made this hot sauce with fire roasted hot pepper with great results and do recommend that as well.

People he is making hot sauce not SALSA
Should of added some tomato and cilantro
That sounds more like a salsa then a hot sauce but i am sure it would taste good.
Noice
Careful adding hot stuff to Bullet. I had one explode. Huge mess and dangerous.
Too thin. Otherwise good recipe
If you are looking for a thicker hot sauce recipe check out my most recent video on my channel it is basically an updated version of this one.
Spend a bit more money and get better quality oil so it would be less harmful to you
what type of oil would you recommend instead?
