Pixar Place Hotel Opening Week! New Disneyland Resort Hotel Tour 2024

On this adventure, we explore the new Pixar Place Hotel (formerly Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel). This reimagined hotel is filled with colorful décor and a plethora of Pixar details ranging from big to small, and we do our best to showcase them. We heard Riley's imaginary friend Bing Bong can be found meeting with his rocket on level 3 so we HAD to see for ourselves! Spoiler alert: it's true! Also on level 3, we show the pool (which includes Nemo's Cove & Crush's Surfin' Slide), Small Bytes (a poolside quick service restaurant opening soon), and other fun outdoor activities themed to various Pixar shorts. We head back inside to the lobby where we check out the merchandise store: STOR·E, the sit down restaurant: Great Maple, and the quick service restaurant: The Sketch Pad Café. Finally, we catch the talented musician Joe Gardner from Inside Out playing a few tunes on the piano.

Great Maple is one of my favorite restaurants in Newport Beach. Food is fantastic. Highly recommend their rib eye melt sandwich, portobello mushroom fries, beignets, maple bacon donuts, chicken & donuts as must tries…so, so good! The French toast is also quite good.

The Pixar Place Hotel is AWESOME. I am a bit jealous that I didn't get the Panda Mei plush toy, and seriously, how come Loungefly need to happen so late (2019), because it does seem less expensive than Dooney and Bourke. Pixar does have all the best movies, although some people do lie about how Cars 2, The Good Dinosaur, Lightyear, Onward, and whatever other movies they think failed since this is what the internet, the media, and Hollywood does, lie to everyone by making something horrible or worse to make money.❤️💛💙

Disney did a great job on renovating this hotel! I really like the theming and the small touches. The hotel was def feeling out dated.

We were so pleasantly surprised with ALL the details. The renovation put this hotel back on the map because when it came to discussing Disneyland hotel options, Paradise Pier was never in the conversation. Glad you enjoyed it as much as us 😄
