Well, what can I add to your praise of the powder coating? Absolutely nothing. What a stunner that will look.
You are a man after my own heart regarding tea mugs. Mine only ever gets a rinse in hot water to preserve the flavour. My dad was a stickler for NEVER doing anything more than a rinse of the "Brown Betty" teapot because it would ruin the taste of the tea.

Craig, the quality of that powder coating is absolutely superb and reflects the amount of time and effort you spent preparing / refinishing these parts. Someone is going to be blown away with this Enfield. 👍👍👍😁😁
Wow this build is going to look bloody wonderful, realy like the textured powder coat combination with the smooth on the whole bike especially the engine, i think it would look good with your signature oil pipes and fitings done in nickel .Oh and no wheelies on a KX yeah luck with that lol 👍

Doesn't matter where you live, you can still buy Stickers.., i'm not in England either, but i'm buying Stickers every now and again, a couple at a time, thus trying to raise my chances of getting my hands on this Black Beauty! But, even if I don't win, I know i've contributed to somebody's luck, and at the same time, helped Craig finance the whole build and all it's 1st class components. After all, we don't want him to go bust on this one.

That textured powder coat does look stunning - rather like Italian crackle finish. What temp can powder coat stand? Never realised you could use it on cylinders and heads…

I think powder coat does retain some heat so you might want to grind down the leading edge of your fins to aid in cooling? silver contrast doesn't look bad at all, you actually have fins all around the engine you could rid the face off as a detail?

the good thing with powder coat the hi gloss is you can hit it with plexus and really shine it up, no idea with that textured how you care for that prolly mild soap and water?
yea powder coat is GOOD for heat, its baked on anyways, that's the beauty of it you can put it on engines and tyranny so forth, prolly not headers, go ceramic there, be nice to ceramic that pipe by the legs minimize chance of being burned, lest by the pillion leg . .

Nice job on them. One of my T140's had the engine power coated before I got it, was 1/4" thick in some places, was a complete bugger to get off...

They look great Craig! I'm a bit of an expert at shoulder issues(10+ dislocations, surgery, the lot) you should be ok going for a ride, I've had to as a commuting biker and it was easier than expected✌

Evening all. I think the gearbox cover should be gloss but that's just my 2p worth :) the black gloss looks really antique too which I like. Do you wanna borrow my RE 500 engine/gearbox stand? it is a bit like a rotisserie stand. Go steady on that Kwacker monkey socks.

You have loads of bubble wrap. Couldn't you wrap the tank and fender up with that. So there's no delay
