''And you know i like chaos in Sims challenges'' You sure do Simsie, and we can see that. Im genuinely wondering how you havent gone insane by now tho.
This may be a weird compliment, but this house looks like what I expected EA’s builds to look like based on the trailers for the game and early add-ons whenever the sims 4 first came out. Like i can totally see this as a “party house” that would be in a (better) basegame or something like that. Edit: I guess what im trying to say is that its what I expected from the early sims 4 in the sense of Bold, Specific, and somewhat Weird style builds as opposed to the absolute messes with barely any lights or functioning furniture that we actually got lol.
They had like a main style, and then they tacked on "Mission" and "New Orleans" for the worlds they picked and didn't... super know how to build that...
When I heard roof down I imagined having to furnish each room, windows, Floorplan etc before being able to move down to the bottom floor. But guess I’m too chaotic 😅
Okay exterior colors aside….. the shell itself and floor plan are kinda awesome. The inside was looking cute. Idk why you say you hate modern builds when you actually do a really good job with them!!! Anyone else wanna see what Kayla would do with this if it wasn’t color and budget restricted cause I totally wanaaaaa
I agree. I think if she changed the colors it have great potential. But I think she just hate any kind of modern building. For me is the oposite I dont like grandma house style.
I feel like hallways don't count as a room since they're just there and you can't get away with not having one. But 10 rooms should be easy. Kitchen, living room, 3 bathrooms (one half bath downstairs, 2 upstairs), 3 bedrooms, a study and then a hobby/playroom.
lmao I've seen a few people doing this challenge with Jesse's generator, but I have to admit, your prompt was by FAR the most challenging one I've seen! I'd actually love to see you maybe renovate this build & turn it into something you _don't_ dislike so much? Or just scrap it like you said & try the challenge again, but with anything _but_ another ultra modern one? 😂🥰
Hi! Trying this again... So, I have an idea for a build challenge. You basically do everything in reverse. First the terrain paint, then garden and exterior plants, then walls and roofs because you can't do the rest without them. Then wallpaper and flooring since lilsimsie always does that last. Then furniture followed by stairs. And lastly doors and windows. You are all welcome to add more steps if I missed anything. :D
tysm for being such a constant positive for me and so many others despite what happens irl. always remember to prioritize what's best for you and what you need to be happy and healthy. we are and always will be here supporting/cheering u on!! u are the absolute best - always sending u so much love and amazing vibes 🖤💕
i will NEVER get tired of jesse's build challenge, no matter who does it or how many times. i will always click and it is always funny. thank you for feeding us kayla
I once got a 3 story home with only 3 rooms. It was for 3 sims so I decided to do an apartment building but there is just one big room for everyone. There was this other one that was fun. I had like 7 people, one story and like 13 rooms and I thought it was gonna be like easy peasy. I choose a 40/30 thinking it would be big enough. Nooo, but I stuck with it. The rooms are so tiny and it was a challenge to fit all of them. I also once got a Tudor build but I could only use the base game and the color theme was red. Surprisingly it turned out really cute 🥰
Girlie did 9 rooms and was stressing 😂❤️ your stair well is all one room technically due to it not being fully separated by a roof. You did great though!!! I always love watching your builds
Oh no I randomized one for myself and got: Mid century modern, black, green, and orange theme, 3 floors, 6 rooms, $12,018, for 4 sims, and no cheats. This is gonna be a challenge.
if you do another one of these challenges we will definitely enjoy watching! this was a challenging prompt, you did what you could! love you always kayla, please dont be too hardon yourself bestie
all of the houses i build lately end up being brown&red&beige with blue accents because of that one growing together rug. it's such a comforting and rewarding color scheme for me, and it's wild considering my favorite colors are pink and green. no relation to the video, just wanted to share because i was amazed that simsie hates red
I would have liked to see you finish the house 🫤. I feel like with the right debug landscaping and maybe scrapping that gym to save money it could have been something worth throwing on the gallery 🤷♀️. I quite like red and orange and modern 🙂
It's so funny that she was stressing about money at the end and I was just sitting here with my head in my hands like "if you hadn't added the extra room right before you finished the shell you would have been fine" lmao she's so silly
She didn't even use up all the budget like the challenge said to do. It says the budget is exactly that number, as in you have to use it all down to zero simoleons.
I should have listened to Lilsimsie this is what I got The building style of your house is McMansion, and your colour theme(s) will be yellow and orange. It will have 3 floors and 6 room(s). Your budget for this build is 30406 simoleons exactly. It houses 3 sim(s). Your disadvantage for this build is that you must build on the smallest lot. Good luck babe, xoxo plumbella
i did this same challenge and also got ultra modern as the build style. I was wondering why the shell looked similar to my build, then I saw the reference picture she used....it was the same as mine
I got ultra modern as well, and to house 5 sims in a house with only 3 rooms... I hate ultra modern building as much as you seem to hate it, but definitely the worst is building from the roof down, seems so difficult! I think you did great considering all the limitations ❤
Omg! The prompt was to build an ultra-modern home. In what way is an orange and bright red home an ultra-modern one??!! Anyway, this was a fun, chaotic build! Thanks, Kayak! Edit: Kayla is the best at building in The Sims 4, we all have to admit it, so who am I to question her...
Please in the future even if you hate it just add it to the gallery!! Sometimes I really love the outside and the actually building but I want to style it to my liking! Could you upload so it can be used for the structure? 🙏🏻
I got roof down when I did this & had to restart twice, though it would have been more if I hadn’t sat down and sketched out what i wanted to do after the second bulldoze. I wound up really loving the result though!
aww i think this actually was a good build! sure it had to be minimalistic because of the low budget, and had to be red/orange, but other than that, the building looks good
I just randomized using plumbella's Build Generator and got Mid Century Modern. I can only use the color brown and it can only be 1 floor with 10 rooms. My budget is 81,893 Simoleons exactly. My disadvantage is that I can't have anything symmetrical. IM DOOMED
I suck at building any Sim house and that's why I love downloading beautiful homes like yours. lol I am more about decorating and dressing my Sims to look pretty. I do follow Plumbella, she's very cool.
I did too. I mean I'm no expert but I have gotten a lot better. Simsie's builders bible was a huge help and the doing the assorted shell challenges I find on the gallery have taught me a few building tricks that have been really helpful. I absolutely suck at decorating though 😂
Ultra modern style and no blue swatches? Oh, our good sis Kayla was in the trenches... 😭
The challenge set her up 😭
And still she managed to paint a room blue hahaha
This is genuinely the most maxis match build simsie has ever made lmfao
lmao I was thinking that, empty rooms, horrible colors, perfect oasis springs vibes
Love how she could easily have made a red and orange color scheme look good, but took the chaotic route and built a fancy square tomato.
I was surprised when Kayla missed the "ultra modern" part at first, we all know it is not the style she goes for 😂
the moment i saw the title i knew this was gonna be plumbella’s build challenge
Same
Same lol
''And you know i like chaos in Sims challenges''

Woot woot!

absolutely love the gerard pfp!!

@@AnnoyingMystery Oh why? 👀

This is what I was picturing as well. I was confused when she didn’t do this exactly 😅

Crazy how she thinks it's not great but I'm seriously loving this build
Not her aesthetic but it shows she needs to branch out. Her modern builds be ok looking lol
This is a challenge that actually feels like a challenge for you. I'd like to see you out of your comfort zone more often!
you need to do more of these im absolutely obsessed with the concept
I feel like hallways don't count as a room since they're just there and you can't get away with not having one. But 10 rooms should be easy. Kitchen, living room, 3 bathrooms (one half bath downstairs, 2 upstairs), 3 bedrooms, a study and then a hobby/playroom.
OMG I basically said the same thing. Only I said a dining room instead of a hobby/playroom
Nobody:
Simsie just being able to do literally anything
lmao I've seen a few people doing this challenge with Jesse's generator, but I have to admit, your prompt was by FAR the most challenging one I've seen! when i got the notification i read considering quitting and i was like SHE IS QUITTING TH-cam?!💀
the red brown yellow tiny home would be a perfect challenge home for stanley!!! it's a hotdog themed house!!! 🌭

Building from the top down sounds like a fun build challenge in itself, I am definitely trying it after this video
Love this challenge. I hope you do more
I know this was done with Kayla's least favorite things... but it's legitimately SO GOOD, broooooo
I'd live here, actually
Same, I actually love the outside of this build haha
Good one! I like color red and the house is quite nice actually, so seeing lilsimsie lowkey despair over a perfectly good build is really fun to watch
I would love to watch you try another plumbella build challenge!
Just wanna say you’re such a comfort TH-camr and streamer. Love your content and you never fault to bring a smile your fans. Thank you!!

Plumbella is the best. 🥰 Love her chaos so much! I genuinely liked this build, does that make me weird.....😅😂
Loved how this challenge has many features. Would love to see you do more of these xx

Devon Bumpkin had to build roof down too. His one was a yellow tudor building.

A red, white, and blue Tudor sounds hilarious, at least the get together wallpaper has a blue swatch so it feels actually possible

this looks good simsie. like i love it
As much as I like Simsie I'm struggling to accept that she considers the best colour (red) at the same level as the worst colour (orange)
DEFINITELY want to see more of these! Try James Turner's one too!
i’d fail this challenge
I think it turned out well for the challenge!!! But I would 100% watch a redo of this challenge!!
I think the house looks alright. Definitely not her best work, but I'm proud of what she made!
This is a great video! And you did in fact build the house upside down!
Red is my favourite colour and this is one of my favourite builds that you've ever done!
I actually kinda love this house, its like very 2010s modern youtuber core
YES I saw Caryn and Connie do this and I was waiting for u to!
i did this same challenge and also got ultra modern as the build style. I was wondering why the shell looked similar to my build, then I saw the reference picture she used....it was the same as mine

“Never built from the roof brown before “ iv seen stanly live in a house with only a roof, you add walls later. Same same
the fact that this is the third simtuber ive watched having to do the roof down challenge LMAO
I feel like this build would be great for a Dream Home Decorator playthrough. See how Stanley and/or new sims would be able to change it over time.

we definitely need another episode of this lololol
I think it turned out really cute!!!
This reminds me of City Living apartments. Very brights and colorful but somehow works
i love the hause shape pls put one on galary just in basegame so no wallpaper or other things from packs/kits plss❤
ugh i absolutely hate this combination of colours, but it was very amusing to watch you do this challenge! :)
