Scindapsus Platinum is the most expensive I've seen sold at a local FB group that I'm in for $900. Many people, including exporters and nurseries, confused Silver Hero with Platinum but the collector who was selling had the two plants side by side and they do differ. The group founder is well versed in houseplants and she says that the platinum has thicker leaves and has sparkles in it's leaves that especially noticable in the sunlight.
….but WHY is the Jade satin so beautiful?!??? 😍Thank you for showing it up close, I’m sure it’s even better in person, but the texture really seemed to show up in the close up!

Happened to trip onto the finding of 2 Jade Satin Scindapsus. At the time I didn't know what it was, I just knew it was cool. Love that Philodendron !!! I'm on the hunt for one. 🌼🌼🌼

My dark form is SUUUUCHHHH a slow grower. I have it in my ikea cabinet & I swear so far it’s put out a leaf a freaking year lol. I love my jade satin too! Once they acclimate they do grow a little faster ☺️

This was a fun video. I love scindapsus as I have a few of my own. My moonlight treubii I ordered two years ago with about five leaves. It usually has a slow start ,but man once they take off they grow so fast. I’m assuming the same will happen to my scindapsus satin jade and my scindapsus treubii dark form. I rooted my jade satin in moss in its own prop box high humidity and heat. It's flourishing now and I basically have a full pot. I recommend cutting yours so you have three cuttings instead of one!
Such cute plants!! I think the philodendron is either a cream splash or a silver stripe. I have a rio, and it has a lot more silver and a lot more of a pronounced elongated shape. Gabriella plants has an image though that shows the differences between all the types, so you may want to look it up.
The current expensive scindapsus that I’ve ever across would be variegated scindapsus. There are several kinds of them that I’m not so sure of what the latin name are. There’s one who has mint-like variegation, there’s also one that looks like philodendron white wizard (if not for the leafs shape, I wouldn’t even realize that it’s a scindapsus. It was so pretty!)
Scindapsus is usually below $30 dollars here in Indonesia but the variegata one starts from $100 up to 4 digits

I love "pothos" must of my plants can be called that. Currently my favorite is my epipremnum aureum "emerald" Green on green variegation is what I crace at the moment 😅

The Philodendron is not a rio. Could be cream splash. I always thought silver stripe had the silver in the middle of the leaf. Idk tho

10+ yrs back all marbles looked like yours. Over time they morph into different shades. Right now stores are selecting the more whitish ones.

There are variegated varieties of scindapsus that are pretty hard to find and super expensive, like variegated jade, coriaceus variegated, exotica kalimantan variegated etc... Pretty new to the market (I think)

My understanding is that a true Rio is patented by Gabriella Plants in the US. My guess is that you have a cream splash. Your Exotica is gorgeous 💚🌿🌱🪴

I'm definitely on a pothos kick rt now. Due to 90% of my collection is on my front porch, for many reasons, they will love it and house renos but yes i need more cuz I want plants in my home while the others are outside so pothos everywhere inside rt now...sorry not sorry.

i love how you mentioned that scindapsus are more affordable than a lot of the other aroids because i aswell love rare and uncommon plants and i just cant afford a lot of them but still dont only want to get the common ones

Hi Lucia, you always come up with interesting videos! I tend to click on them and I appreciate your insights on plants and the community. Just my thoughts, hopefully constructive. Please don’t take this as negativity. You asked if anyone wanted to rehome plants. I sent you a few questions on Instagram after I let you know I was interested. I never heard back after you initially said I could pick them up since you didn’t want them. I saw you had seen my messages. I think not answering can feel a bit disappointing. No worries about the plants - I was just wondering what happened. And I hope you don’t take this as negativity. You are great at making content. I would hope you would be more responsive when answering questions sometimes in my case. That goes with shops as well. I find more helpful shops do get more loyal customers for instance.

Too many cuttings. I don't have the patience. I want big beautiful plants. Maybe in a few years when you have plants but cuttings don't amuse me so much now that I have plants for so many years. Some don't even look the same when they are mature. That includes pothos and philodendrons.
